Well, so it is true...Tifa gives him a little "kiss" and he smiles.... <_< now the clotis are very happy....¡ well, i would like o know if the had noticed that in the end, when cloud says " mother", his arm is healed by aeris because of her hand in is forehead!! <_< so it is aeris who has once again healed cloud because she loves him!! <_<

I have both the English and Japanese versions on DVD and in no way have I seen/heard a CRISP, CLEAR, PERFECTLY INTENDED kiss from ANYONE on normal volume.

After Denzel is cured, poeple around acclaims happily, then the camera zooms in and focuses on Tifa's appearance. Cloud then smiles back a little----which we never know to whom! It could be the whole gang!
The switching shots does not mean they are exchanging any private feelings..

For me, this scene could be added with lyrics like:

Cloud: "I did it....Now even I can save poeple I care"

Tifa: (On the shore, smiling back) "I told you! I know you can do it."

Now I am with CG on this 100%. Why would SE have Tifa kiss Cloud? They aren't a couple. Besides, I rewatched it because of this and I saw nothing of the sort. Plus, when I saw it on the silver screen, I think I would've noticed it. So expell the thought from your minds. ^_^

It kinda looks like she blows him a kiss ..... It's hard to tell because when she smiled it looked like she just sucked a lemon while having to pass some gas.

Yeah, that certainly wasn't a kiss. It was more of a gentle smile, as she was proud of Cloud at the end of AC for coming out of seclusion and battling his demons.

Considering Cloud didn't return her look at all, but looked away with an almost embarrassed expression on his face, I don't see how anyone could say Tifa and Cloud shared a "special smile" at the end. :rolleyes: Delusional Clotis.... Cloud's focus was all on Aerith in that scene.

Looking at sha's collage, it seems to me that Tifa has a habit of pouting every now and then. :lol: However, the way I see it, rest assured, it's not a flirty pout.

Still, it's very open to interpretation. For example, if I over-analyze it and include elements of human behavior and the significance of body language, there are reasons coming from past experiences on why she tends to have that kind of body language. :lol: But I'll stop here now. :aeris:

I've never heard nor saw any hint of a kiss. Maybe she wanted to, but she couldn't or something a long those lines, but that would be up to her.

After looking at the collab, I made a mental note that Tifa has small lips in those scenes that were used. Maybe she was pouting, but in a way smiling.

I got curious about this and went and watched the ending of AC over and over and over again till I figured out what the heck people were noticing. :unsure: There was no kiss, I think what people are assuming was a kiss is when Tifa closes her eyes and purses her lips, there's a slight sound in that instant from the background, someone makes a splash or "thunk" sound, giving the illusion of a smack from the lips.

That's the only thing I could see that it could be. Otherwise, I didn't hear a darn thing or see anything that signified she blew him a kiss.

I just think that if these things don't say anything for Cloud and Aerith as a pairing, then even less can be said for Cloud and Tifa...obviously because they've never gotten this type of privilege. It's not like only Cloud and Aerith were advertised. They were advertised along with Squall and Rinoa, a canon pairing.

While none of this actually proves Cloud and Aerith are a couple, it does support the idea that they are. Really, it's not like Cleris fans use them to prove their pairing. I've no doubt most Cleris fans know that the proof was in the game itself. These things are just reinforce the idea. ^^

IMO, there's no such 100% proof for both sides, all we do is to find out creator's inclination, which I think, is never shown oh-so-confirmatively.

I was just messin' around. I know what they are. Not proof, just cute little hints. Really, don't mind me. I had a terrible week, and I was just picking. I don't view the color thing as even a hint, though. Sure, colors represent things, but nowhere does it state that red always means love interest. If there is even one instance where this doesn't hold up, then we might as well throw it out the window. I think Aerith wears bright, feminine colors to be in stark contrast to the smoggy, bleak area that is Midgar. She's supposed to stand out, the same way her strength of will and cheerful disposition stand out from the sorta morose, all-business types that seem to be the norm in Midgar.


I know there's no "proof", per se. Guess I should have gone with "meaningful evidence" instead. He shows more emotion for Aerith than for Tifa. The way he treats her in their interactions, her death. The way her memory is so sacred to him, moreso than to anyone else in the party. The ways he talks so gently, almost reverently about her. That's real evidence to me.

And about this Tifa's kiss..I never noticed it, and probably never will. I only saw her smiling to Cloud, maybe in a bit flirty way, but absolutely not a kiss. :whistle:

What I see : everyone is happy because they're healed, Tifa smiles at Cloud adoringly ( she just smiles, nothing else ), Cloud smiles at her a little bit ( I think he's smiling at her because of the shot of Tifa shown just before that ) and then at the kids... and then he notices Aerith and the world stops for him ( and the look on his face, it's like " OMG ! I can't believe it ! My Aerith is just here, before my eyes ! " ) when she tells him to smile and then she leaves with Zack... and Cloud has this big and tender smile on his face as he thinks : "I'm not alone anymore."

Well, not a single kiss, nada. Just an almost totally Clerith ending with an amazing music ( a music totally Clerith, I must say : the song is about Cloud smiling, Cloud has his big smile for Aerith and the Aerith theme is included in "Cloud Smile" ).

Since Beatrix and many others have noted that there is no kiss, why is this thread still open? Can a mod shut it?
