Why does Cloud have a wing?

I just really wanna know i know it has something to do with Sephy and the whole he's is darkness thingy (I can't remember exactly) but i mean if he has it in KH why not in KH2 hmmm......????

Well anyway i dunno and i'm confused so if anyone knows could you tell me?

IIRC, Cloud's devil wing is a homage to Sephiroth's angel wing. Since the latter didn't appear in the original KH (he's added as an extra boss in the NA version).

Plus the fact that Cloud said he immersed himself in the power of darkness. I guess that wing symbolized that.

Such a shame, I missed that part of him in KH2.
