well, we know the characters wears a pink ribbon: tifa in her arm, cid in his arm, yuffie in her weapon...the others we dont know but..what about cloud?? i have ben thinking....it would not be perfect if cloudr sibon was THE TRUE RIBBON AERIS WORS? i mean, after her dead, he picked up her ribbon..the others character woore a pink ribbon in memorial of her but cloud wore the TRUE ONE. ;)

You know what's a HUGE coincidence? Long before we heard about AC, I drew a fanart of Cloud and Aeris. Aeris had her hair down, and was wearing a big black and blue sweatshirt and a green skirt. Cloud was wearing a blue shirt ... and a pink ribbon around his arm! I didn't even remember until I read this!! I'll see if I can find it somewhere. It's a couple years old, so it's not quite as good as now, but, it's the principle of the thing!! :lol:

That would be great if it was Aerith's ribbon Cloud has on his arm. It would mean that Cloud has something of hers and how much he miss her. I think the reason he was hiding it because he doesnt want anyone feeling sorry for him.

:( I just thought of something. The pink ribbon could mean Cloud's love for Aerith, but it could also mean that it's his weakness or something.

The fact that he's hiding it made me think. Hmmmmmmm. :blink: Oh wait, on second thought, maybe he's hiding it because it's tied on the Geostigma wound.

Anyway, yeah, it would be so frickin' sweet and sad if it were Aerith's ribbon on Cloud's arm. :D

I think the ribbon symbolizes alot - his love for aer, his guilt for letting her die, his past basically... this tells us that Cloud could not let go of his past, or rather his past still haunts him (his past includes soldier, aerith etc ^_^).
Of cos, the main event in his past that is haunting him is Aerith's death , much like kenshin and his crossed-scar ;p (ie his past as battousai and mainly Tomoe's death)

I think it would be awesome and kinda sad that Cloud wore Aeris's ribbon.

Like the others said it would show that he still loves her :wub: and he feels guilty about letting her die. :(

Yes it symbolises his love for Aeris and stuff but the most important thing about it (assuming it's the original ribbon in the first place) is that it is the only part of her he managed to save.

He is clinging on to what is left of her in this world and never letting go. He'll die before he lets go of the one thing of hers that is left.

I got mine off a site that wrote down the whole script for FFVII. I am not sure if there's a mistake.

In anycase, in Cloud's situation at the point in time, "my" or "this" refers to the same thing, doesn't it? It refers to the emotional pain he is feeling ^_^

he is refeing that what will he do now taht is sifering

he means that he has not feel anithing like this before and that this pain is love..

yeah i thought that it was something that supports aeris but now im nto sure because in the game there was an accessory called ribbon

yea there was an accessory called Ribbon, but doesn't mean it was a pink ribbon.

The ribbons seem significant actually, I doubt they're just accessory ribbons.

Red XIII's ribbon is really hard to find, and I thought he wasn't wearing one. It's on his left foreleg, but you really have to be looking (or hallucinating? I don't know).

Barret's ribbon is on his left wrist; Yuffie's and Tifa's are on their left upper arms; Vincent's is hidden by his cape most of the time but it's visible on his right arm in some scenes; Cid has one on one of his arms; Cait Sith has one too!

And on the difference in dialogue: that screenshot may have been from the PC version. There are some small differences between dialogue in both versions; for example, my friend who has the PC version showed me a screenshot of Esther congratulating him on being "the winningest jockey since Joe", but that's not what she says in the PSX version.
