Sefie - May 22, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
So, I recently got into World of Warcraft, or WoW. And by got into, I mean I'm TOTALLY FREAKING ADDICTED!!!
*Cough* Ahem...Anyways! I was wondering if anyone else plays and would like to chat wit me about it?

GeGe_Uchiha07 - May 22, 2007 07:25 PM (GMT)
WOW?

Hmm i have heard about it but i havn't really played it before.
I was actually going to post a thread somewhere asking about what it was, only to find that i didn't really know where to post such a thread.

MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEME!

Two weeks off school? No social life? What do I do? I go to Teldrassil and play with Night Elves, duh!

I have the problem where I get to the second zone for a character and then end up hating it, so I start a new character but then have the thought that I want to train the original character more...so I go back to it, realise I hate the zone, blame it on the class, start the game again with a new class but the same race, get to the same area and repeat the above process. I think I have 3 Blood Elves and 4 Night Elves. But it's still fun, so I don't care!

So whaddaya wanna chat about? :P

Sefie - May 24, 2007 06:12 AM (GMT)
xDD Rad Scott, just rad. So far I have a level 28 human priest(named Iearth ^_^), a lowbie Nightelf, Dranei, and Bloodelf(I mostly made the Blood Elf cuz he's freaking SKEXY!!!) What server do you play on?

Resha= World of Warcraft is an MMO, Mass Multi-Player Online, meaning everybody buys the game, then plays together online. You can choose from 10 distinct races(humans, dwarves, orcs etc), and lots of different classes (Priest, warrior, druid etc). It's really ridiculously fun

Scott - May 24, 2007 11:37 AM (GMT)
Ack, I am but a n00b to you, Sefie! My highest level is a lvl 16 Night Elf Warlock. At least, I think he's lvl 16, I get confused with him and someone else! But I'm stuck in the Ghostlands with him. The place is just so depressing! The same goes for Darkshore with Night Elves. I have a lvl 13 Priest who I'm trying to train but Darkshore is just boring and dreary. I started a Human Priest yesterday and got to lvl 5. Westfall is a lot more appealing as a second zone so maybe I'll make it past lvl 10 for once!

I play on Anachronos server. Sadly, I can only access European servers which sucks because I don't know any European players! PvE ftw.

NekoDono - May 25, 2007 12:44 PM (GMT)
XD My beloved Jake plays WoW all the time. (He's a tauren XD) I'm going to buy an arm band of the Hord next time I go to GameStop. Love the evil, fight the Alliance.

Sefie - June 1, 2007 05:17 AM (GMT)
Bah!*Ish all Alliance except for my smeztastic Blood Elf male*
Anyways, devilducky FTW!

This is getting awkward...I haven't played Warcraft for a while...is WoW a new version of Warcraft? I only play DoTA because it's so popular here and I want to get in the WCG (World Cyber Games)...or is it just teh same? x_x

Scott - June 1, 2007 09:26 AM (GMT)
Sefie - LOL! That's just awesome. And I'm the same, all Alliance except Blood Elves. They're just so secksy cool!

Resha - WoW is part of the Warcraft universe, but the gameplay is entirely different. All the same locations from the strategy games are there, as are the races and even some of the character's names, but it is mostly a stand-alone game with it's own storyline (well, I've figured that because I managed to pick up the storyline without playing any of the Warcraft games ^^).

I really have to visit the nearest pasocon shop!!! WoW sounds so...WOW!!! Another question....do old characters from other Warcraft Games exist in WoW? hopes for Rylai *runs to pasocon shop*

Scott - June 1, 2007 12:40 PM (GMT)
I don't know if all of them do. For example, Tyrande Whisperwind who is the High Priestess of Elune is the most powerful Night Elf character in WoW. She was also in the Warcraft series. I doubt every character will make an appearance in WoW (or vice versa), but some are there.

Sefie - June 2, 2007 05:11 AM (GMT)
Lol, love the new set Scott! ;)
So..I have a confession...I...I-I...I'm a Dranei-ohphile!!! It's true, I just can't get enough of those little blue guys! I love their culture, their story, their racial buffs....Phew, I feel so better getting all that off my chest!

Scott - June 3, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
Thankies, Sefie! Changed it a bit...thought it was a bit too much, so made it a bit erratic :P (I said "a bit" way too much there. Typing at 2:40am ftw!)

And can you pwetty pwease give me a brief description of the Draenei story? I haven't played as one yet so I don't know anything about them.

Raist - June 17, 2007 01:22 PM (GMT)
I've been playing for just under a year I think.

I rarely got on these days due to uni and work commitments but I plan on playing a bit more in my upcoming holidays.

I have a 64 Human Priest on Daggerspine that I've been levelling for years. I'm a PvP junky so when they increased the level limit I've found it hard to get the motivation to get to 70 and hit the battlegrounds again.

Levelling is the most enjoyable part of the game in my opinion. Once you hit 70 (this is from my experience of play at 60 when that was the level limit) the game gets tedious and boring. You also start to note how much of the game is centered around some addictive property. PvP is the only thing that keeps me in the game.

I also have a 51 Paladin on an oceanic server and heaps of level 8 or so characters all over the place as well.

Sefie - June 25, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
Lol, I actually can't WAIT til I hit 70, cuz then I'll actually be able to HELP my guild! They're always running crazy high level instances, but I'm such a lowbie all I can do is wish

Oh Scott, the Draenei story is something like this: Their home world Draenor was ripped apart(it's now the Outlands, yes?), so they were on their huge space ship The Exodar, on their way to Azeroth to add their strength to the Alliance's. And then...the crashed into the planet xD Guess they didn't see it coming

Kuzumi - June 27, 2007 01:41 AM (GMT)
oh man you all play wow?! thats fantastic-o!!!! omg i play too, im a lvl 70 orc hunta [yeah for teh horde!] i reside in the server draka and my name is Blackcobra come visit me if you can!

oh sefie i know how you feel, my guild witch is a huge raid- every -night- till -5am -in -the- morning-guild was always out and about on a lvl 70 run and i felt sort of left out when i was lvl 67... i wanted to go to Kaz and rescue Thrall and get my own epic flying mount which i still dont have.... [im only up to 2,000g and i need 5,000 to get a epic flying mount  ] it takes hard work to lvl up in the high 60s! though the reward is the g, rep, gear, and mounts :D ![keep that in mind ] oh and yes i do know how addicting W.o.W can get ... i had 2 years and no social life outside of W.o.W :lmao: .... i know im so pathetic. my boyfriend at the moment is a blood elf i made thay are s000 sexy! i love how the bloodelf men dance! NEPOLEAN DYNAMITE! :geek:

[i hope you all have happy W.o.Wing and if you need anythin' im here to help :gift: ]

Note to self: Find threads like these first BEFORE posting about your latest addiction anywhere.

Ah, WoW. My brother's friend said it's worse than smoking, and I have to agree. I played a human priest a looong time ago, before Burning Crusade came out, and had to stop because my brother wanted to switch to the Horde. D:

Now I have a level 25 female Draenei priest (what is it with the priests that totally nab me?) which I'm joined to the hip at (on Dragonmaw server, hint!). I know Alliance is supposed to be more 'n00by' than Horde, but... we have the best city! Ironforge FTW!

I'm not sure how I'll ever reach level 70, though. Argh. It seems sooo far awaaay...

Though, I think to attest to my geekiness, what I really adore about WoW is the world itself. :P I love walking around, filling out my map, visiting the different towns and cities and catching all the detail around me. My brother cannot stand that I actually read the whole quest instead of just skipping to what you're supposed to do. I also love how each territory is uniquely designed, with a landscape that fits the region (unlike other MMOs where the designers basically scatter dungeons, forests and towns across the place).

Umm, yeah. I'll miss WoW when I go back to uni. *sigh* *is so not installing WoW in her laptop, nooo*

Sefie - June 29, 2007 08:48 PM (GMT)
Oh yes you ARE installing it Missy! *Huggles my little portable WoW box*

Nothing But Values - December 21, 2007 06:09 AM (GMT)
No, I can't go back to it. I WONT! So much money and time... but so tempting.

i pRomiSe** - January 8, 2008 09:18 PM (GMT)
Oh my goodness, I didn't know any of you played WoW. And yes, the reason why I have been disappearing from the forums is because I've been playing it. XD Not just that, but that's one of the reasons. Dude, I would so like to play with you guys. I have a 70 BElf mage and a 70 Human Priest. Working on a human warlock now (she's 54).

But yeah, it'd be awesome to play with you guys. I play on Ursin (and I'll hopefully change servers soon) and Shadowmoon. ^_^

BulletProofMarshMellow - January 9, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
Hehe, I asked for WOW for Christmas, and I got it. x'D Normally, I wouldn't have DREAMED of ever even touching the game, due to all of the rumors of it "sucking you in" "losing you're real life" and "becoming a loser".

But, my friend finally convinced me and I got it, much to the disapproval of some of my other friends. :lmao:

I have yet to install it however, because my computer is low on memory. P;
My Dad said he'd install the back up whatever-on-earth-it-is so that I can play it... but he's generally lazy, and hasn't gotten to it yet.

I was so excited to play, too!

Hopefully I'll get it installed soon.

Zelda - January 9, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
I'm seriously debating getting this game, but I'm not entirely sure yet. However, knowing you guys play it is a bonus. XD; *hates going into MMOs alone*

I guess I'd just like to know, how are the missions, are there grinding issues, etc? The ups and downs of the game.

Ugh, the only thing is if I got WoW I'd have to install it on my laptop, and I'm not sure I'd want to do that. ):
