Well, I've been replaying FFVII again just to cleanse my brain of "Through Tifa's Eyes". I recently completed the Lifestream sequence and something that Cloud says to Tifa there stuck with me: Cloud: "No matter what anyone else says to me, it's your attitude that counts..." Despite the slight C/Tness of it, I think it's a lovely quote. And I was wondering what you guys make of it, and how it fits into a Cloud/Aeris and Cloud/Tifa perspective. Personally, I always thought that Cloud wasn't including Aeris as "anyone else", that he was just referring to their friends, because out of everyone still living, it's her he feels closest to. So while I think it's a very intimate quote, I never really thought of it as romantic. What does everyone else here think?

Very clever reasoning, Anastar! I always wondered about that line, because I've seen it cited a lot of C/T evidence, even though I never personally interrpreted it as romantic. Seeing it in context cleared up a lot for me. Thanks Anastar! :D

No problem. I've had a number of Cloti's try to pull that one on me, too. When they throw it at you out of context, it appears to mean something that it doesn't.
