this place definately seems friendly... any other forum I've stopped by, whether it's FFVII-related, or anything else, they always have seem to have that element of drama, or the board just never lasts... I know I've only been here a day and a half, but I don't seem to sense any of that... so it definitely seems like a cool place to me! :D

Aww, I feel the same way! I still can't believe how many awesome members there are here. At other forums, the people aren't half as welcoming or familial.

As much as I love Cleris, so much of the reason that I love coming here is because of all of you guys. I know I can always find support and friendliness from all the amazing people I've met through this forum. :grouphug:

And yes, agreed one hundred percent with what others in this thread have said. My first experiences with forums were at huge gaming boards chock-full of political bitchfights, zomg-u-cant-beat-mah-record game challenges, power struggles, and male egos galore (I believe I called a few of the members "tyrannical racist pigs" back in my day. Ugh, anarchy. XD). So I guess I didn't run into the kind of girl-drama stuff you guys have been describing until I hit places like AC.Net. But nonetheless, I did have a metric assload of bad forum experiences on both ends (although I made a TON of friends scattered across different forums and met some amazing people), primarily because I actually got involved in those fights, and ended up hating the boards I was on.

So, needless to say, CXA was an unbelievable breath of fresh air after I'd been battling the inconsideration of common courtesy in proper forum ettiquette (AKA cyber-assholes). :giggle: I can confidently say that I've NEVER come across a group of board members with the level of compassion, optimism, and open-mindedness as I've found at teh pink, and I'm saying that in complete honesty. Unlike the huge, general gaming boards I used to join, you don't have to sift around or stick to certain "cliques" to find the genuinely nice people. At CXA, they're EVERYWHERE. Of course there's the occasional obnoxious fangirl who fires a pellet gun at their TV screen everytime Tifa shows up in AC. But the majority of you are so goshdarned sweet, even to those members who aren't completely, bigotedly CLERISTH, and I'm astonished by the self-control and composure shown here in comparison to the rabid-packed forums I've joined in the past. I appreciate everything you guys have done to keep me and so many others feeling welcome here. ^_^

Generally speaking, I found this place both pleasant to the eye and to read. Sure there are other places, but I kept finding myself coming back here for more full-on orgy and hang out with you guys.

Plus, it's nice to go here and calm down in the name of Pink from an annoying day at school (sometimes, my opinion was disrespected and it annoyed it).

I've never meet so many nice people and I've made so much friends here at CxA ^_^ This is usually the first place I visit on the web because I mainly use it for chatting, messaging and going on myspace. Other forums that I have been on usually is "Meh" and I sometimes I won't stay on long due to the style of the place ad the members but not here.

From my experience, "e-penis" describes the amount of ego one tries to derive from one's online persona. The bigger your standing in a fandom, the bigger your e-penis (or e-[insert other synonyms for penis that I should not type here for it is a public forum]). Normally, your e-penis size is directly proportional to your jackassery.

For example, someone who tries to become the all-knowing-fan of a certain fandom, who always comes into any discussion to give his "opinion", except he considers his "opinion" the end-all-be-all of everything, and anyone who disagrees with him is an idiot or is almost certainly ignorantly incorrect. Why? Because he can somehow read the creators' minds has access to all the nifty insider/limited info, thus making him The Ultimate Fan Whom All Should Defer To. And the more people who defer to him, the bigger is bloody e-penis grows.
