Cloud x Aerith > Deep Love > Love

Title: Love
Description: My opinion on the matter. :P

Now, before I post this, I would like to state that I just finished reading an amazing book entitled Ophelia by Lisa Klein. It was Hamlet from Ophelia's point of view, with interesting twists and the like, so I suggest you read it. xD I completely devoured it. D: *is a nerd* Anyway, I felt compelled to write this up, because I feel very impressed upon after finishing it. xD

If it makes no sense whatsoever, blame it on my 14-year-old mind. D: I suppose I'm not as good at expressing myself in words, because this seems like the ramblings of a madwoman. D: But bear with me, please. <33 I decided to post this because it also conveys my feelings on the couple of Cloud and Aerith, and the reason I support them - as well as other couples I might happen to support. xD

Read on, fellow romantics! :fangirl:

QUOTE (Me)
Why am I so keen, they ask, to support couples who are in no way capable of being with each other physically? Those couples, which the bonds of death have taken one or the other, those tragic, tragic, ill-fated couples that I become besotted with, nearly cry over, a foolish romanticist such as myself. Why? Why waste time on such a thing?

The answer to that question, my friends, is this: philosophy.

Ponder, for a moment. Humor me, if you will.

I am one who wishes to find a meaning in all that I read, do, see, watch, behold; there must, must, simply must be a moral….A lesson to be learned…Faith to be shown…Pure devotion. Something that I can learn from. Take, for example, a book I have just finished reading and which has led me to write this drabble. Ophelia, by a miss Lisa Klein. Shakespeare’s Hamlet, only from Ophelia’s point of view. And this book struck me so deeply. It made me think, really think. It changes the story, but I shan’t spoil it for you. Please, read it if you will. The depths, trials, and insanity of love were shown so well throughout that book…It drove me simply mad. Poor, poor Ophelia. Poor Hamlet. Poor Denmark. Everything, indeed, everything struck me like lightning. Ophelia ponders so deeply on subjects at points, and I come to the conclusion that she truly, truly loves Hamlet. Their love, as many of my favored couples, was destined from the start to undergo such torment; to be utterly demolished and shattered. Insanity, fie on insanity, is all I have to say on the matter; I cannot think of a word to describe my emotions. Books aren’t just books. Books convey a meaning, a reason, to something…Life. Love. Death. People. Everything. I need a meaning. That is why I refuse to conform, to refuse the happy, perfect, completely meaningless couples so preferred. Oh, yes, there are some couples that do indeed have a happy ending…But I refuse to support something that does not have deep meaning and true love behind it. I suppose this trait of mine is intrinsic; I have faith that the true love that I have always cherished will prove true, when, as everyone does, (yes, characters too) the remaining person in the relationship dies. A splendid reunion, would it not be? A couple together in the afterlife, sure to be together forevermore.

This is my reasoning. This is my logic and my beliefs based solely on feelings. This is my raw emotion; trying to be put into words.

This is the reason for supporting what I support, believing what I believe…

Everyone has one true love, their destined, and their star-crossed.

They may have other relationships. But…In the end…

There is one true love. You get one true love.

Fate may treat you cruelly in this lifetime, and more often than not, it does.

But…

Believe you this.

Star-crossed lovers will be reunited in the afterlife.

You may scoff, you may scorn, you may think me as insane as you like.

But I believe this to be true, beyond all reasonable doubt.

True love conquers all oppositions: insanity, separation, death.

In the end, it’s what makes all the difference.
