And, besides, isn't Aerith Cloud's maternal figure? She's dead, so CloRith can't be, which is sort of sad, because she's such a great lady. Wouldn't it be kawaii if she was living with the Seventh Heaven crew? Tifa'll have her friend, Cloud his mother-figure (at the least and canon)... et cetera.
I'm sick of bashing fans and couples. I like canon, and, as my username says, I'm neutral. Some CloRith and CloTi 'evidence' are fangirl delusions, and some aren't. Get over it. Tifa's a tough, kick-ass girl, and Aerith is a sweet, kawaii person, and Cloud... is Cloud.

This line of reasoning has been argued countless times. We know she's dead; we don't care, and neither does Cloud since he continues to remember Aerith in AC.

Cleris got over Aerith's death a long time ago. Why not you?

Actually, no, nothing of the sort was ever stated. It was confirmed that Aerith is in love with Cloud. How can she be his mom and be in love with him, as well?

The only person described as having a motherly relationship with Cloud is Tifa. This has been confirmed in Reunion Files when Nomura stated that Tifa has a maternal bond with Cloud, not to mention the numerous occasions when Tifa felt "feelings like a mother would have" toward "big kid" Cloud in Case of Tifa and AC.

This is funny, because Nomura and company sure made an effort to show that death isn't the end of existence. It's a pity you didn't get that point, especially when it was made so blatantly obvious in the movie that Cloud and Aerith are still communicating and interacting. Aerith lives on in Cloud's subconsciousness, which is why she is able to respond to Cloud's thoughts (e.g. the scene where Cloud thought "But... I let you die..." and Aerith responded). Who else has such an intimate relationship with Cloud? Who was Cloud shown to be riding out to meet at the end of "Calling"? Cloud sure doesn't seem to care that Aerith is dead. Why should you? This is Final Fantasy, after all.

I think most of us here know that. ;) My oldest brother is a Cloti, and he's certainly not retarded. My ex-boyfriend was a Cloti while I dated him, and he's not retarded either. If you didn't generalize the views of the members here by a few isolated comments, you'd find that many of us are friends with Clotis, and we have some Cloti members here. It just happens to be that in some sections of the forums, you'll find us complaining about certain Clotis who do immature things like invade, spam, and flame. It doesn't mean that being rabid is exclusive to Clotis, and it doesn't mean that we think all Clotis are rabid either.

FF_G pretty much cleared this up, but to reiterate, Tifa was actually the one who was heavily emphasized as being Cloud's maternal figure. In AC, there is the line where Cloud says "Mother?", but Nomura said that it was in regards to Aerith's comforting presense.

Nomura stated that Aerith continues to live on in Cloud's soul, so her death doesn't mean the end of their relationship-- this is called Final Fantasy. And either way, if someone you are in love with dies, it doesn't mean that you can't love them anymore. Just that you can't physically be with them.

Before you say they aren't bad... it's probably because YOU are Cloti. No matter what you say, it's true, you are. You say Cleris can't be... which automatically means you think Cloti CAN be. In other words you believe in Cloti and not Cleris. Try this... The forums where you talk about your cloti stuff. Make another account and support Cleris to the fullest.(Despite how you may feel) See exactly what the outcome is. Of course Cloti's aren't going to be mean against other Clotis... Cloti's being nice to Cleris' are much more rare to see.

Your neutrality is rather shaky seeing that you seem rather pro CloTi. I've read both of your posts and you seem to look for trouble where you can find it. You do realize that if you pulled this stunt at a CloTi forum, supporting cleris and what not, your punishment would be ten-fold. Many of them, although I know some civilized ones, like to harass, spam, and the alike. We on the other hand just prefer to state our opinion and leave it at that. I do realize that rabid cleris exist and I prefer not to associate with them. And MistaCloudStrife is right that CloTi who are kind or even civil to Cleris is much rarer than the other way around. So please, be the bigger person and step out of this now.
