Hasn't been a contest in a while, yus?

Ok, this idea has been brought to my attention, so I decided to start this up again. Want to show off j00r graficks skillz? Here's the info:

This is a contest that involves making a new CxA forum banner. The winning banner will be put up the day after the voting ends. The second and third place winners will recieve "award" graphics, as well as first place.

There is also an interesting twist with this banner contest. This time there will be a theme (as elaborated on in the rules) and your entry MUST fall within the theme's definition. The banner must also be cleris oriented and suitable for ALL ages (duh). And no, I'm not entering because I'm settin' dis shiat up k.

SUBMISSION RULES UGH
I. The banner pixel dimensions have to be 800x125.

II. The accepted file types are .jpg, .gif, and .png. No others please.

III. The theme of your banner must be "emo and emotional". This is due to the fact that we would like to see something different in our forum banner. Show your interpretation of "emotion". Also please add your views about how emotions are displayed in your banner when submitting your entry.

IV. You must PM me to submit your entry! This will be an anonymous contest and the creators of the banners will not be named until after the contest is over. Please put "Banner Contest Entry" in the subject line of your PM.

V. You will have up until March 4th, 2007 to PM me your entry. Voting will take place from the 5th of March until March 12th. The winners will be announced on the 13th.

ANY SUBMISSION THAT DOES NOT GO ALONG WITH EVEN ONE OF THESE RULES WILL NOT BE ELEGIBLE!

Also, when voting, PLEASE do NOT just vote for your friends. I know you will know which banner your friend made, but vote according to effort and overall style. It is not fair to the others who put their effort into their graphics.

Edit: OH! I forgot to mention that you guys can post your banners if you don't care to be anonymous or not. Just make sure you PM me with your entry!

My POV:
(Argh, I feel embarressed!) Well, for my entry, I wanted to concentrate on the emotion of grief, especially Cloud's grief towards the death of Aerith. Not only her death, but the impact of her absence in his life. I found a fanart of Cloud that, IMHO, perfectly showed Cloud in his emotional dispair... in other words, emo Cloud. :P IMO, grief is one of the strongest emotions a person can feel.

:blush: I think I went beyond emo on mine. lol

The inspiration for this banner is the lyrics for "Like You" by Evanescence. I think the lyrics are self-explanatory (from Cloud's POV) so it's both emotional and inspirational (if that counts for anything.) :unsure:
