Wow, I can't believe they're dubbing LO. Interesting. I really do like the animation, even if I don't care so much for what they did with the story. ^_^

Anyways, I'm probably gonna buy this one. I don't own any version of the movie yet (except for a crappy pirated one that I got at an anime convention before it was released in America). :D

Bad news. LO wasn't actually dubbed in English. Apparently IGN got it wrong... again. All they did was sub it with English subtitles. Meh, but the other extras make up for it.

It would be interesting to get Marlene's missing father's perspective on, well, everything. Especially if Barret's story is set post AC.

My chances of collecting all the Final Fantasy games factory sealed are extremely slim but all factory sealed Final Fantasy VII stuff is still very possible. =) Just need to get my hands on a sealed original FFVII first. I have two original FFVII's, one GH FFVII, one Japanese FFVII and one original PC FFVII.. I don't know why i had to open my second original FFVII and not use it. I'm retarded. -_-

And are they still selling new Jap. FFVII's and FFVII International? And that Japanese FFVII Chocobo racing game... It might just be impossible for me to collect all this FFVII stuff too. o.O;

well I pre-ordered my copy of of Amazon.com. The price is actually decent there. They're talking about the retail price being $50 or more and I said screw that. I can't wait to watch Last Order (even though it's not being dubbed <.<) on my big screen and I can't wait for the rest of the goodies that come with it!! :D

Yeah, I already pre-ordered it on Valentine's Day aswell. It already shipped. :P It'll be nice having FF7AC postcards and the novellas in my hands.

This sounds pretty cool. I probably won't buy it (at least not immediately) since I really have to save up money for a trip I'm taking in April. But once someone finds out what Barret's new story is all about, they must dish all the details. :P

Anyhow, it seems the fan who originally translated CoT did a very good job of it, despite his/her claim to only have learned Japanese for a year or two.
It's pretty darn close to the official stuff. :)

Yeah, translating the novellas from Japanese to English must have been a pretty daunting task. But I always thought that some of the lines in the story didn't flow so well in the fan translations, and others were just out there. If you read the official one, though, it all makes sense now.

Official translations are always more credible than fan translations. I was just commenting on how good of a job that specific fan did with his/her translations.

I guess it'll help to read the rest of CoT, but the passages you provided, IMO, is pretty similar to the fan ones. *shrugs*

It'd be great though if one of you fortunate ones could provide us with the whole thing along with Case of Barret too. I wonder if we'll ever get official translations for MoTP.

Meh I dunno, I think my heart dropped to my feet when I read some of the lines and made me question stuff :( ...I'll always be a Clerith and always love Cloud and Aerith together (atleast I can still gush over them in Kingdom Hearts) But yeah, I dunno... Everything is truly awesome though, but I don't think it's fair that we didn't get Maiden translated or they didn't really give us anything on Aerith *sighs* :(

Well, you must remember that Aeris is dead. She obviously can't be talked about as much as Tifa, or the rest of the FFVII crew. So, that's understandable.
That and they're probably going to give us a few things with CC. :D (at least, I hope so. I really love Aeris)

It still did state that Tifa had "motherly" feelings towards Cloud too and that she still looked at him as a "big kid" So I dunno. I guess maybe I was reading a little too much in it, but meh lol whatever :P and perplexed still has the definition of "doubtful" so yeah.

I think you were looking behind their words a little too much anyway. If you read it for what it is, it plainly states that they are looking out for each other which is what friends do anyway. ^_^

It just kind of tugged at a nerve in Case of Barret that Cid says something to the affect of "So Cloud's with Tifa now, huh?" or something, I can't remember the exact wording offhand and Barret answers with a yeah. *shrugs* I dunno, it just kinda bothered me a bit =/
