I just got the sound track for FFVII and guess who's on the cover of the booklet? Cloud and Aeris! They are both sitting in what looks like a field surrounded by animals.

Inside the booklet it has picutres of all the characters. They are grouped in threes. Cloud, Aeris, and Barret are shown first. On the second page is Cid, Tifa, and Red XIII, and on the third is Vincent, Cait Sith, and Yuffie. There are no pictures of Cloud and Tifa together at all.

If I can figure out how to work my scanner, I'll try to put the picture on here.

The cover is Amano art of them. That picture is actually really popular.

Awesome! I had a fangirl moment the moment I opened it up. Then I showed it to my boyfriend. He kind of prefers Cloti because he thinks Tifa is hot but he really doesn't care who Cloud loves. I also recently cosplayed Tifa and he kind of liked that. But he agreed wtih me when I showed him the booklet.

Yep, that Amano art is titled "Tranquility" and is probably the single most popular Amano art from FFVII. I see it everywhere. :P Then there is the one of Cloud holding Aerith over a bed, entitled "Calmness" and the one of Cloud holding Aerith after she has died and is wearing a black dress, entitled "Protection". From the official FF art collection (thanks to Clorith for these):

"Calmness": Birds, butterflies and unbelievable/mysterious animals are in the midst of protecting Cloud, who tries to hold the fallen Aerith up. His eyes and his hands have the feeling of a final parting. We can feel his gentleness and sadness towards Aerith.

"Protection": Aerith who sleeps in Cloud’s hands. Mysterious black birds that flock in the dark room seem to be trying to lure Aerith into death. The black dress that surrounds Aerith’s body gives the strong image of a burial.

I wasn't sure which of the quotes she supplied was for "Tranquility". :unsure:

Ah, yes, and the Amano art of Tifa, which shows her alone, is entitled "Rhythm". Clorith had this to say about it: "Drawing of Tifa in monotone has a red colour. Talks about air of beauty. Just describes the painting. No comments after description." And nothing about Cloud, eh? :shifty:

I've got the Soundtrack to and its got that picture on it. I wonder if the Limited Edition was any different, but it still is a nice image for the book.

It'll be because it's an import, plus it's being sold on Amazon Marketplace, where they charge an extortionate amount for rare stuff like that. You should see how much Suikoden II costs on there! I think it was £62.00 on Amazon UK, and $150 on Amazon US.

I actually got it an animenation.com for only 50 dollars.

The soundtrack is actually the FFVII OST, I have that and this makes me squee, at the booklet, the first/second page you will see are the original characters of FFVII: Cloud, Barret and Aerith!!! See, no Tifa there!!! And in CD One, the CD design is the same design as the cover booklet. I just wondered why would CloTis hate Amano's style of drawing so much, is it just because there are no official arts of Tifa and Cloud alone? I thought it was really beautiful.

It was actually posted in Devotion, Sefie. I saved what Clorith said, along with all of the images. I can post "Protection" later after I get home. It is on my home PC. ^_^

Ah, I can't help but adore Amano's art. It add's such a nice layer to Cleris, and its silly to think Cloti deny it being "official." Funny, how they put Amano's art on the booklet of Final Fantasy 9 of Zidane and Garnet. ZXG is the FF9 Canon couple too.:whistle:
