Cloud has proven that he doesn't need to be in a relationship to "live". He has his own inner demons to sort out still even after AC and he really doesn't need added responsibility of a strict romantic relationship (with or without children). Cloud has proven already that he will stay single since he has gone all these years without a single romantic advance on Tifa or any other girl, so I want what he wants. Being single only means that you have more freedom, something Cloud cannot live without. He isn't the type to be tied down by elbow jewelry.

Just because you spend the rest of your life single doesn't mean you're not moving on with life. Cloud knows what he wants and what's best for himself. What we're shown is a single Cloud who IS moving on with life. Not every person/character will tie themselves down to a relationship. Nothing wrong with that.

Just because Cloud loves Aerith, it doesn't mean he has to commit the rest of his life to being single just to prove that. If I were in Cloud's shoes, I'd get with Tifa if I had romantic feelings for her. Otherwise, I'd remain single as he did.

Those who don't think Cloud reciprocated Tifa's romantic feelings will most likely choose to remain single, yus. :P

If /I/ were Cloud...I'd put my own theories to work and see to it she comes up with ways to keep manifesting to me so I can continue my relationship with her spirit. No need to move on if you don't have to, after all. And if the situation is wierd and supernatural, who cares? It's love all the same.

I agree, I don't see the logic in Moving On = Getting Attached. Moving on means leaving your past behind, your sins, your burdens and cherishing them for the lessons they have taught you, and moving forward to a brighter future, to do your best with what you can and starting again. Sort of like getting up after you fall. I don't see in any way how this has got to do with being romantically attached. It is possible to get on with life but without humping the nearest girl. Cloud's already moved on, he's let go of his guilt. He seems happy now, and it certainly shows that Moving On =/= Marrying Tifa and having babies.

Well, just because Aerith is dead doesn't mean Cloud can't love her spiritually... Cloud doesn't need love on the physical plane...it's all based on what he wants. And yes, I agree that seeing Cloud as single in AC does show that he has moved on. Apparently he doesn't want to be with Tifa after Aerith died. And I also agree with MistaCloudStrife about something being off with this thread. :unsure:

Yep, that's basically the gist of it. She tells Cloud that Johnny is her childhood friend and asks Cloud to leave them alone while they talk about their childhood or something like that. Just one more reason why Tifa never appealed to me very much.

If I remember correctly, Tifa's exact words were, "Cloud, would you mind leaving us for the day? We haven't seen each other in ages. It's fun to talk about old times for a change."

Who has used gameshark to bring back Aerith so she could be in your party? well I did it five year ago beacause my friend told me that if you have Aerith in your party when you beat the game you get a different ending. feel free to close the topic if had been talk befor.

I've gamesharked Aerith before but I lost the save file and the cheat device so I can't do it anymore.

Aerith returns to the party exactly the way she left - For example my Aerith was called "Selphie" (because that's what I'd named her) and I got Selphie back with all the limits I learned for her before she left.

There's quite a lot that can be done on discs two and and three with Aerith - my favourites are using Planet Protector, Fury Brand, Pulse of Life and Great Gospel - all those useful techs on the later discs =-) and taking Aerith to the Speed Square and Gondola at the Gold Saucer. Normally the gondola is closed but if you gameshark Aerith and take her there it'll be open o_o

Aerith can also fight alongside Cloud in the final battle against Sephiroth - the one on one Cloud vs Sephiroth ... only Aerith can be there too :aeris:

In AC do they show Aerith mother in the game not her real mother. What happen to her.

Her real mother is Ilfana, her father is Professor Gast, both are indeed deceased. Professor Gast was shot to death inside their home in Icicle Inn village, and both Ilfana and Aerith were taken away to ShinRa Headquarters by Professor Hojo.

Ilfana died after escaping from ShinRa Headquarters with Aerith. I would assume that she either died from the experiments being performed on her, or from being injured while escaping. She collapsed at a train station in Midgar where Elmyra was waiting for her husband to return from the Wutai war. Ilfana asked Elmyra to take care of Aerith.

i kown that already what i was saying that what happen to Elmyra they didn't show her in ac. or they didn't talk anything about her after Aerith die.

All I know is that Elmyra is living in Kalm. In Case of Tifa, it said that Cloud went to Kalm to pick up flowers from Elmyra to be delivered to Aerith's grave in the Forgotten City. I was a bit bummed that they didn't mention her in AC or show her at all.... :(

Or was it just her mother? I never quite understood. I had always assumed that they had run tests on Aerith too, but now I'm not too sure.
Poor Elmyra, lost her husband and her "daughter".

Personally, I'd stay single if I, as Cloud, didn't have romantic feelings for Tifa.

Maybe enjoy life on the road and from time to time, visited the flower fields. And if prompt, maybe check on Aerith's flowers for her. Having her precious ones somehow damaged is a big no-no to Aerith.

But hey, Cloud gets free floral aromatherapy.

Well I think so. Hojo said he had waited till aeris was born before capturing Ifalna, so he could have "all of them" for his experiments. Maybe they had more caution with aeris for being a child but I don't think Hojo left her alone all these years, especially considering how eager he was to get his hands on her after recapturing Aeris at the beginning of the game.

*Agrees with daydreamer198* Yep. I thought this was portrayed rather well in AC, too, especially when Sephiroth asked Cloud what he cherished most and Cloud saw the woman he loves (Aerith), then his best friend, Zack, and then his best friend, Tifa. ^_^

I highly doubt Tifa replaced him. I think she fits into a whole different category. One of the scenes that flashed through Cloud's head when Sephiroth asked him what was important to him was Tifa with Marlene. To me, it pretty much demonstrates the idea that Tifa is family. We already know that though, don't we? :P

The hints are pretty subtle, but I think the pictures flashing through Cloud's head represent Lover, Best Friend, Family. All these things are important to him, no doubt. Of course, not surprisingly, he thought of Aerith first before anyone else. Lovers come first, ne? It's just too cute. :giggle:

Good points, HD! Tifa is associated with Marlene and Denzel in Cloud's mind. And S-E did state that Tifa has a maternal bond with Cloud, so... :whistle: #1: Love of his life. #2: Best friend. #3: Mother/sister figure and kids who are like little sis/bro.

As of Advent Children, Tifa is currently Cloud's best freind, although that says more about how pathetic Cloud's social life is more than it says about how close they are.

Hmmm....I think that Tifa's relation to Cloud is a bit difficult. I think of her as his closest friend, but she's MORE than just a friend. Like everyone's been saying, she's become family to him, so I think that's the best way to describe her. Like a sister from another mister or something xD
