Who would win in a fight between Naruto or Sasuke?

Which one is your favorite charactor out of the two?

Mine you ask? 100% hands down Naruto..
I mean Sasuke is okay and all ...but hello the anime is about Naruto not just sasuke..up until now he keeps taking the spot light which bothers me to no end -_-;

But im not saying he is a bad person in all..thats just my opinion...

I seriously DO NOT like Sasuke. His attitude just gets on my nerves. He's so arrogant and serious, its just... annoying. Thinking that you don't need anyone to survive isn't that answer. He always criticized Naruto, for being weak. And, Naruto isn't. Naruto tries so hard to be someone people respect. All his life he's been shunned. While, really he did a big favor for all the peopl in the village. He took on the curse of the nine-taled fox.
I hate how cruely people treat Naruto. He deserves so much better. His determined spirit thought keeps him pressing on to be a great Ninja. He'll keep going until he gets the respect and honor he wants.

I'm not a fan of Naruto, but I used to be. XD

I personally think Naruto would win. Just because he has the powerful nine taled fox curse. XD, But, Sasuke has his Sharingan eyes...

Note: I am not up-to-date on the Naruto manga or the anime (as much as that dosen't really matter) and that I'm REALLY far behind, so please note that I am going to judge on what I have seen so far. Spoilers ahead, though.

As much as the Sasuke fangirl I am and how much I love *my* Sasuke to death, it's a very, very, very close match. But i'm going to say Naruto.

I'm not going to say just because Naruto's the main character, it's because of all the training he does. Even though Sasuke is from the 'awezome' Uchiha clan, look at all the training with that Shuriken technique he did just to make Itachi and his father to acknowledge him. Likewise, I can say the same for Naruto to make everyone acknowledge him.

From the first fight they had (I think it was the hospital scene), both Naruto and Sasuke use techniques on each other, and miss only to hit water tanks. At first, Naruto's Rasengan only appears to be a little hole that dented the Water tank, while Sasuke's was huge. But behind the water tank Naruto hit, it's shown that the Rasengan had actually made a big impact and - for lack of a better term - 'exploded' the whole backside.

I think it's safe to assume with all that training Naruto did with the Rasengan, it's proven to be the more 'stronger' out of the two techniques. We don't see much training with Sasuke's chidori with Kakashi, so I'm going to assume (again) that he spent less time. With Sasuke's Chidori, it can only be used twice in one fight. But Sasuke made a deadly move by usuing it three times, without the cursed seal. While Naruto's Rasengan can be used multiple times (at least, from what I remember) with his Kage Bunshin, but then, that wastes alot more Chakra. There is both a pro and con to each techniques.

The second fight, the one where Naruto releases the energy of the Kyuubi in him, and Sasuke is in curse seal lvl 2. Again, it isn't shown that Sasuke has been training himself to become a better fighter, but him being captured and brought to Orichimaru. While Naruto, still continues to train better himself for the upcomming mission (To retrieve Sasuke). Through this gap, I can safely say that Naruto has become stronger since their last fight.

Anyway, in their fight, Sasuke's motivation to kill Naruto to obtain the Mangekyouu (or however the hell it's spelt) Sharingan seems to be enough to literally kill Naruto. However, it's not so easy as it seems as Naruto's 'clearly' trained for this battle. Then, they both transform into their transformations and do their signature techniques. Except, Naruto's is different this time.

His is mixed with regular chakra and the Kyuubi's chakra, which makes it stronger than before. But Sasuke's cursed seal is shown flowing power throughout his body (see: the part in the forest when he awakes after getting bitten.) which would make his Chidori stronger as well. If it wern't for those damned flashbacks before they actually hit each other, we could've seen the impact of the moves, but Naruto is seen knocked out - not dead - as Sasuke is no where to be seen.

I know I've only talked about the Rasengan and Chidori, but I have little to say about overall skill. Sasuke's very skilled in the areas of Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. But I think Naruto has the advantage in Ninjutsu with all those chakra techniques he can do, while Sasuke has balanced Ninjutsu and Taijutsu and uses them both equally. It depends on which fight, really.

In the end, it's very close to whom would be the better fighter, but I'm going to say Naruto has a good chance of becoming better than Sasuke if he continues to train while Sasuke does nothing.

Just to comment on Paladin's Heart's post...

Even though Sasuke left Naruto fainted and could have killed him there I believe that Naruto won that fight.

Sasuke's intentions were to kill Naruto and Naruto's weren't. Even in the last Chidori/Rasengan clash Sasuke hit Naruto's shoulder. I believe that this was because he missed a vital area and hit the shoulder/chest area because he couldn't hit anywhere else whereas Naruto's aim at the last clash was to cratch Sasuke's headband.(Sasuke states before the first Rasengan/Chidori clash against the water tanks that Naruto won't even be able to scratch his headband) I believe that if Naruto had wanted to aim anywhere else on Sasuke's body Sasuke would have been in the same state as Naruto was and would not have been able to hit his body after that.

Of course after the 3 years training I believe that Sasuke has grown considerably stronger than Naruto and because of this Naruto trains to obtain his own unique elemental(wind) technique.

So as of now, Sasuke is way stronger than Naruto and will stay stronger until Naruto finishes his training sequence.

Well, (OMG! SPOILARZ!) when Sasuke and Naruto faught earlier in the series, Sasuke won, sadly, but if they fight again, I would have to say Naruto. Either that, or it'll be a draw and... Let's just say that I'm going to keep the rest of my comments to myself. I really don't like Sasuke.

Uh... I'm sorry, the whole Sasuke X Sakura thing... it really... annoys me. I hate them together. Sasuke doesn't even like Sakura. Yet, she's constantly struggling to "STAND WITH SASUKE." Besides, don't Naruto and Sakura get together or something? I thought someone said they did...>__<, or am I wrong? I've always liked NXS MUCH MUCH more than SXS....

Even though I like both Naruto and Sasuke I'd say that at the current moment Sasuke would definitely win. Still we know nothing about Naruto's new technique, but seeing how Sasuke pwnz even Kyuubi makes me think so. Sasuke has progressed much even though with Kabuto's help.
But also I agree that Naruto's motivation is much.... um.... better?

I know, I know, but for now Naruto still hasn't shown his new technique, his new abilities (speed, strength etc). We've only seen him fighting Orochimaru but that was with Kyuubi's help. On the other hand, Sasuke has shown his speed, strength, his Chidori Nagashi and was going to use another otechnique that could finish four people at once. So I think, judging by the current chapters Sasuke is stronger because we know little of Naruto's abilities.
It's not like I'm saying that Sasuke would definitely win when they meet after Naruto's training.

Naruto and Sakura haven't gotten together yet...

But what I don't understand is how people expect some coupling that has barely gotten any development since the Chuunin Exams (which wasn't even romantic, especially from Naruto's part) to end up together. Can someone please explain that to me, because I hear a lot of people saying "Ohh Seneca, you're wrong, Naruhina is soo going to happen" or "Zomgg, NaruHina is so cute, it's so happening that the end" and it just confuses me. :S

I don't watch much Naruto, but from what I've watched, I'm going to say Sasuke. I love him. He is hot for an anime character :wub: I dunno about a fight between him an Naruto, but I guess Naruto would win a fight. ^^'

Though Sasuke seems 'OMG TEH PWN' right now, it's odd and scary seeing him meeting Kyuubi like that. (WHAT DID YOU DO, OROCHIMARU/KABUTO!?)

Chidori is an elemental jutsu, right? That kinda explain why it's limited use, since Sasuke need to concentrate on both chakra and lightning, while Naruto only control chakra for Rasengan until his current training.

Plus, skills. As Lynx said, we didn't get enough screen time on Naruto's personal skills. We don't know how strong Naruto is without Kyuubi's help. From what I remember, there's an improved Rasengan and something about a 'new perverted jutsu'. :P

And I'll have to "respectively" disagree with you as well... Kakashi stated that Sasuke is way stronger than him now. Even Orochimaru stated he was stronger even after facing Naruto's 4 tail(?) Kyuubi form. Of course just saying that doesn't mean much. We need more proof ne? Well they had a tiny skirmish when Naruto first saw Sasuke for the first time(in a long time). Sasuke PWNed Naruto... PWNed Naruto, Kyuubi, Sakura, and whoever else was in the team at the time...

So I'll say it again. Sasuke is way stronger... at least until Naruto finished his training.

I guess that even though the show centers around Naruto, I feel more of a closeness to Sasuke. It might also be that I feel like he's doing everything in his power to do what he feels is the right thing to due. I can sympathize with him even if he left Sakura behind, and I can understand why it's so important to him to do this, but when it comes to Naruto, I have to sit back and ponder why and what I feel was the right choice to make in Naruto's decisions (sp?)...

At present, Sasuke would definitely win against Naruto (unless Naruto invokes the miraculous victory magic). Since I've absolutely no idea who I prefer more (I'd have said Sasuke, but he's become far too deluded for my taste), I'll go on Wintercream's diversion.

Heh, there's quite a bit of one-sided crushing going on. Hinata still likes Naruto a lot but he only treates her as a friend (I keep up with the anime and manga, by the way, and I've never seen their relationship move further than that). Naruto has always been fond of Sakura who might be starting to like him (Hints from Sai and Yamato).
