I went to one school for elementary school, three schools for middle school and one school for high school. I am 18 now. People from all my different schools have a myspace. I don't, but it's amazing seeing how everyone is doing.

I wrote that in a previous topic, I felt like repeating it.

I used to have a myspace but I deleted it, because my school went insane and started expelling people for having one. And now tomorrow for a morning assembly, my principal is having FBI agents and police officers come in and tell us about the dangers of myspace and stories of people who have gotten killed from people on myspace. It should be interesting tomorrow...everyone in my school is opposing this. They think we have the right to make our own decisions, like whether to keep our myspaces or not.

omg that's crazy! yea myspace is pretty popular but there are so many places on the internet where bad stuff happens, myspace is no exception. Bringing in the FBI? is that really necessary? It's pretty harmless if you don't do questionable things with strangers online. I mean come on, people should know better. It's most likely not a problem in other schools. So yea, i think your school board is taking this way out of hand. :/

I totally agree. It is crazy. But I guess its for our own protection. But its not like after this little speech tomorrow everyone is going to go home and delete it. I did only because I didn't want to get expelled. In fact my school expelled a girl last week for having one. Its insane.

I have heard of MySpace for awhile now and I still cant debate on whether I want to join it or not. Everyone and their mothers haveMySpace! :o My librarian had blocked MySpace because of somebody getting shot or whatever and its kind of hard for me to get on now.

Isn't My Space just like Tagged or Black Planet or Hi5, you know those other chat areas? Whats so different about MySpace that everyone is so cought up about?

My mom was afraid of me joining MySpace because of the news that a girl had got shot or raped or something because of her giving out of personal info, or something like that. Its old news anyway :rolleyes:.
