Title: My Sister In Law

Sefie - November 25, 2006 09:59 AM (GMT)
So, this evening my family found out that my sister in law has been suffering from postpartum depression for almost 2 years. Furthermore, she's been suffering from depression for years. We found this out because she took off today. She said she was going to Dalas, to check herself into a hospital, but when she called my brother she was at UC Davis.
This is really tearing me up. In my family, in-laws are on the same level as blood relatives. She's...she's my sister. I love her. And I can't imagine our family without her. Also, I think of her poor little girls, they're all so attached to her. Mom said that the baby was really upset this evening, just from going a day without her mom.
It's so hard, because I wonder what I could have done better for her. But I really can't think of much. I've babysat for her alot, gone up to their house to keep her company...I just think that maybe the family wasn't thinking about her needs very much. My brother's been going back and forth from China for business, and our family's life revolves around their three little girls, plus my parents dote on the three of us still at home...I just think that maybe her needs got over looked.

Sorry for Emo!Sefie but...like I said, this has me really really upset.

Oh dear,
I'm sorry to hear about your sister.
I hope that she'll be alright and that she'll get better.
I understand how you feel about family members as even I get crushed when something happens to my family members, whether it be death or if they suffer in any way.

It's good that you let it out as we're all here for you :huggle: Pray for her and hope for the best.

It must have been really hard for you, but you have to be strong, for yourself and your family.
We're always here for you if you need an E-huggle, right? ^^
