Title: Heroes
Description: Save the cheerleader, save the world!

Zelda - November 24, 2006 03:49 AM (GMT)
Does anyone here watch this show? It's wonderful, probably the best show on television right now. It's about various people around the world discovering the have superhuman abilities, and they must prevent this disaster from happening. The tag line of the show is "Save the cheerleader, save the world", although it's not clear what that exactly means. One of the main characters is a cheerleader named Claire who has Wolverine like healing powers, but it's not clear how saving her will change anything.

Anyway, enough babbling on my part. Anyone here a fan?

Yuffie_chan - November 24, 2006 01:17 PM (GMT)
:huggle: omg im a fellow fan too yes the line " save the cheerleader save the world" sounds kinda funky but eh i still love it i really like the guy who can take other's powers by just getting to know them instead of sucking their life like rogue haha

and the lady with split personality is that really a power? O_o cuz i think i have that small problem too so does that make me a hero lol j/p

I was actually thinking about that! I don't think her other personality is a part of her power, but when the other personality, Jessica, showed up, she is the only one able to use the power of superstrength (notice the way she tossed her husband across the room like it was no problem).

Save teh Cheerleader, Save the World. I like how that all played out. However it did not come to pass. Peter saved the Cheerleader but he didnt save the world. He was supposed to die so he couldnt turn in the bomb that detonates. I wonder whats gonna happen to him now, like if some know about what he will do and if they are out to get him before he detonates.

I am also a big fan of the show, I love Hiro lol. The save the cheerleader save the world is over now, and they will be starting the next segment on Jan 22 I believe. I want to see what will happen to Peter myself, this is the best show on tv now. I don't know what I will watch while it's on hiatus.

Zelda - December 8, 2006 06:38 PM (GMT)
lol, I think it's impossible NOT to love Hiro. He's amazing.

I'm still wondering about "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World". While yes, Sylar having Claire's powers would suck for everyone, I have a feeling the answer isn't that simple.

I do think she's going to have more to do with Peter - maybe she stops him from going all explodey somehow.

Well, the new tagline is "Are you on the list?" I wonder if that means they'll find even more people with powers...

Gah...how will I survive until January? Hooooow...

MistaCloudStrife - June 12, 2007 01:21 PM (GMT)
Just got into it and watched all the episodes on NBC's website. I love it. T_T

Hiro's comedy relief is the best part of the show. =)

Only up to Parasite in the UK, brilliant cliff hanger with Sylar cutting Peter's head off.

Mr Bennet is my favourite on the show. Wonderfully creepy for the most part of the series and only recently did I find out his true intentions. Hiro is another favourite.

I'm obsessed with Heroes *hugs sig and avvy*

I was drawn in instantly with the first episode "Genesis".

My favorite character is obviously Claire. Teh indestructible cheerleader! =D I so wish I had the power to regenerate. XD

Hiro and Sylar are tied for second. Yes. SYLAR. I can't help it. I just think Sylar is misunderstood. XD That and he is rather delicious. :lust:

Was anyone else annoyed with Parkman near the end of the season? In the beginning he was a cool guy, but in last few episodes he bugged me. Like he had an instant change of personalities. I really didn't like when he kept the diamonds in "Run!" (I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong). But him keeping the diamonds really made me dislike his character. I mean, I know the detective guy was basically thinking Matt was a joke of an officer so I understand why he did it, but I still didn't like it. It made him look like a crook rather then a part of law enforcement. :/

September is going to take forever, isn't it? XD

I love this show. It's just--so enjoyable in its geekiness, in many ways, while still being authentic to more human emotions. Very addicting. : D (SEE AVATAR)

Five Years Gone!Parkman = YES, VERY YES. ;~; [How dare you kill my Bennet(s) and Hiro and ahhhhhhh! D:]

Actually, I was happy they gave him more to do beyond just a plot about his cheating wife (who I am not fond of). I really liked his interaction with Audrey and I loved when he teamed up with Ted and Mr. Bennet (I demand a spin-off with roadtrip-inspired hilarity between those three. D:). I do think that his decision to keep the diamonds was...flawed, but hey, he's human, he makes mistakes. :3

And uh, wow, on the topic of favorite characters. I think I love almost all of the characters. I don't want them to get rid of any of the characters, really, as I love them all. Even D.L. who they gave barely any screentime to and Angela Petrelli who's just so evil it's awesome. D:

HOW AM I TO MAKE IT SO LONG BEFORE FINDING OUT WHO SURVIVED THE SEASON FINALE!?!?
Seriazly. The first six weeks of the new season are gonna be "Generations", which'll focus on another set of characters....
Anyways, I think it'd be important from now on to mark spoilers since pretty much every single episode featured a huge bomb-shell.

Season finale spoilarz!!

So, who else thinks that Sylar's still alive? We didn't SEE him die, and Isaac didn't draw him actually dead, just getting stabbed. Furthermore, the streak of blood from where he was to the sewer could be him getting body snatched by the new villian that Molly mentioned....or it could've been him crawling off. Remember the cockroach that was crawling around over the sewer grate? They've kinda become a symbol for him, and it ties into the beginning of the series where Mohinder is talking about roaches and how they can survive anything.

*Pinged like whoa*

I love this show. I was irritated when they killed Eden. But I was absolutely furious when they took Charlie. ;-; Poor Hiro! I really didn't mind that they took Simone off the show though...she didn't really add much to the story except to be part of some useless love triangle...and she didn't really have any chemistry with Peter OR Isaac.

I absolutely adore Hiro though. Hence why I was so mad they took Charlie like that...though technically, she didn't have to die, period. Blood clots can be treated with blood thinners. I hope Hiro figures this out and fixes things. It's not like Sylar really made much use of her power anyway (or anyone else's for that matter...seriously, wtf? You steal all these powers, yet you use only Telekinesis? Lame).

Still, I suppose if he can bend time, he'll eventually find a way to save his princess. Eventually.

I think Sylar was dragged off by someone or something (TMNT? =o Ninja!Sylar next season?) judging by the streak marks of his blood.

I actually like Matt, I just wish they'd stop giving him so much to be emo over. I sure as hell don't blame him for taking the diamonds, he's got a kid on the way, bills to pay, no job for six months and he just got insulted by some jackass when Matt's doing the best he can. Seriously, every time he tries to do the right thing, someone comes down on him like he's the villain! Is it really any wonder he's turning into more of an anti-hero than remaining as his usual all-out heroic self?

Audrey was rather irritating. For a while, she was cool, and then right back to being the uber-bitch. She really became more of a hindrance for the heroes rather than being helpful.

Anti-R - June 16, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)
I just saw Heroes today.

And it owns. Seriously. I can't believe I didn't see this series sooner. -__- Must remedy this.

Inuyatta - June 16, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
Isn't it great that all the episodes are up on the net? XD

Anti-R - June 18, 2007 06:04 PM (GMT)
Uh, sort of? XD

But I live in dread for Ando. He and Hiro are a great pair, I'd hate it if something happens to the guy, considering he's normal.

Inuyatta - June 19, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
....*grin*

So what episode are you on, Anti?

Anti-R - June 19, 2007 03:28 AM (GMT)
Episode 8...

I'm left hanging. X(

Inuyatta - June 19, 2007 04:07 AM (GMT)
Do you have a fast connection?

Anti-R - June 19, 2007 08:44 AM (GMT)
It's decent. Not fast enough though.

Inuyatta - June 19, 2007 07:33 PM (GMT)
Really? I was thinking if it was DSL or higher, you could just stream all the episodes at alloftv.net. The quality isn't as good as going to nbc.com/heroes, but I think it runs a little easier.

Anti-R - June 21, 2007 01:16 AM (GMT)
Fufufu! I saw the last episode!

It was awesome! Even if Heroes only lasted that one season, I'm satisfied by that ambiguous ending.

Man, Sylar reminds me of Voldermort's line of thinking from Half Blood Prince's flashbacks. 0.o;

Inuyatta - June 21, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
Season 2 is supposed to begin in September. Which is what I'm waiting for, Hiro has to kinda...get back home. XD
