Title: Teachers With Funny Names. Your First Impression.

:giggle:
If a teacher had a weird name, what's your first thoughts about them?

My new math teacher's name is Miss Kilburn.

Yes. KILBURN. It's pronounced as it's spelt. Not "Kel-burn", it's "Kill-burn". :lmao:

I was a little afraid of her, because she looked like the typical British headmistress. But as soon as she started teaching us, I found her to be rather nice. ^_^

So.... I know everyone's had their fair share of situations like this. Share it with us!!

There's a place around here called Kilburny, tell me if you get a giggle ;)

We've got a substitue teacher right now called Ms Cockayne. This is pronounced the exact same as, er, "cocaine". The first time she told the class, loads of people laughed. Also, if you split the name in half...

Kuki Prower - November 23, 2006 06:09 PM (GMT)
In primary 6, I had a teacher named "Mrs Dick" :giggle:

Maiden - November 23, 2006 06:10 PM (GMT)
I've had a couple of teacher's with weird ones. My favorite would be Mrs. BoBo and Mrs. Midgit. I also think we had a teacher name Mrs. Melester. :lmao:

Paladin's Heart - November 23, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
Kind of off-topic, but this topic reminds me of a Children's Novel entitled "Captain Underpants and the Perlious Plot of Professor Poopypants"

My friend has a teacher named KAHN.

So now whenever he gets a bad mark, get can get on his knees and shout:

"KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN!!"

:P

OMG! I used to know of a teacher who had the last name of Kahn too! Except when we look at him, we think of Shao Kahn (if I spelled that right) from Mortal Kombat.

Everytime me or one of my friends would make up an excuse for being late for example he would always say "Hah! Don't make me laugh!" (when we're the ones laughing) everytime....No joke! But that was in the fifth grade

Now I have the 10th grade English teacher anemd Ms. Pfefferkorn. Just hearing her name makes me think of popcorn! (Hey that rhymed ^_^) Sometimes I'll call her Feffy or Fefferfeff...:lmao:

WAS HIS FIRST NAME KRISPY? =D

The weirdest name a teacher of mine has ever had was Mrs. Manly. :lmao:

Pyra Kurai Akaidra - November 24, 2006 08:28 PM (GMT)
My school got a music teacher called Mrs Oldham. Not 'old-HAM' like we thought, but 'ohl-dham'.

Yukari - November 25, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
Lol, Sadhana, that made me think of Scary Movie and the P.E teacher Ms Mann. :lmao: Was she manly?

As for me, in primary school, I had a teacher called Mrs. Screeton, but we all thought her name was Mrs. Scream. It would have suited her more, haha. In comprehensive, we had a French teacher called Mr. Cummings. Of course, being thirteen year olds, we all found the way it was spelled hilarious. As if that wasn't enough, our History teacher was called Mr. Harden, which we all loved to mispronounce as Hardon and giggle about.

The_Krazie_Chick - November 27, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
Ms. Strange

Heehee. She turned out to be an awesome teacher though.

BlackWind - November 28, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
I love some of these names, I can see entire classes laughing about them... I've got a teacher who was formerly Mrs. Cox, yes, pronounced how you're thinking. Let's see...

Mr. Private - PE teacher in fifth grade.. Pronounced Prih-vette though.
Mrs. Werth - Always made me think of Werthers candy, or however it's spelt...
Mr. Sinning - That scared me a little in 8th grade.

Kaldea - November 28, 2006 08:32 PM (GMT)
My first and second grade teacher was called Mr. Funk. I loved him. He was so awesome. He had this huge bee farm at his place and he let some bees go in the classroom. That and he gave us free honey. I miss him.

Trisse - November 29, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
I remember Mr. Zweigeller! We use to call him Mr. 2 wiggles, why?!?!? because when he wrote his name on the white board it looked like 2wiggles! I didn't really like him.

PE teacher: Mr. Peach! He was an awesome PE teacher! He was the only teacher I was afraid of and respected at the same time. We called him Peachy lol. Only a selected few were able to call him by that name! I'm glad to say I was one of them lol! he was cool...ahhhh the memories of highschool...

The_Krazie_Chick - November 29, 2006 05:37 AM (GMT)
OHYEAH, my Science teacher this year, Mr. Zerbst. We call him Mr. Zna Zna. Why? Because that's what it says on his teacher...badge...thingie. He hasn't told us why yet, xD

Asuka - November 29, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
I had a history teacher 2 years ago named Mr. Ankor...but thats not all, his initials were W--Ankor( I think is first name was winston or something)....now if you put those two together...

but yeah it was funny but terrible at the same time becasue all the kids used to give him a hard time. :(
I didn't really like him that much but still I would've changed my name if I were him :P

Marlena^_^ - December 2, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
I had a teacher named Ms. Weed. She was an alright teacher, but didn't have that much patience with the students -_-;
I had another teacher named, Dr. Schwartz. My friends thought she would be some seriously intelligent scientific person with high mathematical skills who would look like one of those mad scientists. But we were wrong, she was a elderly woman who was pretty nice, but got really really steamed when the class would start chaos.

*thread revival ZOHEMGEE!*

Mister...

Ele. Yes. EE-LEE. :lmao:

I didn't have him; but my friends did; and they said he was the worst math teacher EVER.

He also got fired and now works as a clown.

No joke.

DeathGigas - February 21, 2007 05:43 AM (GMT)
Mr. Magee.

Everyone, including myself, thought he was gay. One of the worst Algebra teachers I've ever had.

Sefie - February 21, 2007 06:36 AM (GMT)
My fave ever was Mr. Crinch. It's pronounced "Sir Nick", so I assumed that was just a nick name of his until my senior year!

Paladin's Heart - February 21, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
Currently, my PE student teacher is named 'Mr. Peacock' :giggle:. In primary school, we had a subsitute teacher named 'Mr. Pidgeon' too.

TidusBlankety - March 3, 2007 02:08 AM (GMT)
