Ok ive been thinking if I were a video game character, who I would be... A few of my friends on Final Fantasy XI (online) tell me im somewhat like Cloud, like with my attitude and how I talk.

But ive been thinking lately about Master Chief (SPARTAN-117, John) from the Halo series. At first he seems like this really robotic, emotionless character in Halo 1. In Halo 2 he seems to be a little more... not sappy, but shows more cracks in the armor. He still is very robotic in many ways, being conscripted into the UNSC's Spec. Warfare division at the age of 6. He has family-strong ties with his fellow SPARTAN-II supersoldiers, and many times finds it hard to relate with normal humans. Many in the human military see him and his teammates as "human aliens". I feel like that many times. Sometimes when im in my classroom and everyone else around me is fooling around while I sit there silent doing my work, I feel extremely out of place, different somehow.

Another thing that surprised me while reading the Halo novels (awesome books) is the physical similarites between me and him. As a kid, he is described from a photo to have tousled brown hair, a sly grin, and a gap between his two upper-front teeth. Well, I have brown hair, in my current school photos I have this strange smile, and for a while I did have that gap in my teeth, until I got braces and so on. I could actually put my most current pic up if you want, but im kinda shy.

As an adult, he obviously still has brown hair, just shorn. His skin is almost ghostly pale from being in his armor all the time, and has a calm but sorrowful expression on his face. Hehe, well parts of me are pale as a result of not being an outside kinda guy, and everyone keeps telling me to smile. I just say to them, "Its not my style."

In Final Fantasy, I think I'm most like Cloud and Tifa. I relate to them on personal/emotional levels, and like them I'm reluctant to express feelings and I repress a lot like they do. As far as anything else goes, I would say Elizabeth Wurtzel, and her in Prozac Nation, but she's a real person. Hmm maybe Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye. Oh oh! And probably John Becker from the show Becker :P

This is the new Halo 3 commercial that aired during Monday Night Football on the 4th. It gives a lot of insight into the mood of the game. When the Chief is putting his helmet on and he hears all the voices... thats almost like me sometimes. Too many people, too many things going on, too many opinions on things. But then he comes back to reality and continues the fight. Thats how I feel at the moment.

If we're talking about Final Fantasy, I'd say I'm most like Vincent (And not because he dresses cool ;_; ). I think it's because he doesn't have a strong presence in the team as much as the other characters do, and that he doesn't contribute much but he's kinda handy to have around. Just like me! :P

I think I'm kinda like Li from CCS too because he's always very awkward around the girl he likes. He also seems to strike poses at the coolest moments, something I wish I could get away with :P
