Hi guys,
One fateful night when I switched on my lappie, instead of the usual windows loading...I got to a black screen, prompting me to choose "a hardware profile if my current profile has problems loading". So, being the computer idiot I am, I chose to ignore the message, and it went back to loading windows for me.
However, after I got into windows, my wireless died. Can't access internet. My spacebar died. Basically, I can't type anything at all cos all my words will be linked together into 1 really long sentence O_o.
So I restarted my comp..and up popped the black page again. This time I chose to load an older profile. But when I got into windows...darn, everything was gone. The profile is as basic as the first day I switched on my computer.. like 3 years ago. And still no internet access.
So basically, either profiles suck and I have no idea what I can do.
Is it a virus? or hardware problems? [ what the hell is a hardware profile anyway?]
Hmm.. My friend had a similar problem...the same type of messages were coming up, her wireless wasn't working, including her Ethernet, and actually her keyboard wasn't responding at all, not just the spacebar button... and I'm pretty sure it was because she burned out the battery. She would keep that thing on 24/7, and laptops aren't meant to be abused that way because it's not like a regular computer. She left it off for a few days and then when she tried to use it again, things seemed a little normal, but it would occasionally happen again. She then got a new battery and now it works fine. Perhaps that's the problem?
