So, this thread is a place to put funny stories about Cleris fans, be it you or someone you know! Share the nerdiness! Here's mine:

I'm hanging out with my boyfriend at his house, I'm over at the computer and he's on the couch flipping through a music book. He calls me over really excitedly, so I trot on over. He shows me this song he's found, has me read the lyrics, and I believe he even sang a little of it to me.
So, naturally at this point I would assume he feels the song is like us, would make sense right? But I'm totally confused, because the basic idea of the song is "We've met somewhere before, I don't know where, but we'll meet again". So I said, "OK!" and smiled, said it was pretty.
Then he says "It's alot like Cloud and Aeris, huh?"

Before I had cancer, I used to have like really long hair. Well, I'm at school and it's character week. (This is where you can dress up as anybody in the world or whatever, just as long as what you wear is appropriate) my friends tell me to dress as Aerith's just to see what I look like. So, I do and we start walking around school and there is this guy who is Cloud. Well, I didn't think much about him until I hear someone yell "Hey Cloud, there goes your girlfriend". My friends started laughing and I just about wanted to kill myself cause the guy that was dressed up as Cloud was ugly (not to be mean..But...Yeah! :lmao: ) I got so made fun of by my friends because of this. <_< :lol:

XD I had a cleris moment up on stage at a con. For a skit, I hosted a talk show called Talkin' With Tifa. I was those host in my Tifa Lockhart costume. Inevitably, some rather attractive 20-somethin' year old Cloud cosplayer came up and starting blabbing something about loving me. I stood up, turned to the crowd and yelled "Is Aerith in the house?!" An Aerith cosplayer came up and I turned to the guy and said "You see her? That's your love interest. Me? I have a hot date with Reno." I got a lot of cheers and laughs for that one. :rolleyes:

Okay well here is mine.
So before I even knew what FFVII was, my dad had played it. He renamed some of the characters, Aeris being renamed 'Cheryl' after my mother. So he gets to the death scene, and comes flying out of my brother's bedroom where the playstation was. My mom was cooking at the time, and looks down to see my father like bawling (and this man hardly ever cried). He starts clinging to her leg and starts crying and yelling "I'm sorry! I'm SO SORRY". By then the rest of us are crowded around wondering just what the hell my dad could've possibly done to make him act like this.
My mom finally goes "Mark, what in the world is going on?"
Dad: "I...you...I just got you killed" T_T
Mom: "..you what?"
Dad: "..on the game. You.. Aeris.. just..GOT STABBED!" T_T
Mom: "you've got to be kidding me." -pulls him off and walks away-
The rest of the family: -bursts into hysterical laughter-

I was on a day out with my friends when we had a video game expo at my shopping centre, and I had my hair up like Aerith's, with a pink ribbon around my neck. Then this lad comes up to me, and he's dressed like Cloud. And he says;

"Can you be my girlfriend, girl who looks like Aeris?" Thing is, he looked about 8......

I was FREAKED out. (Moi is almost 14 you see.)

I broke the little guy's heart by turning him down. :sad:

Angelic Requiem, your dad is cute! He's just like my uncle, who also named Aerith after his girlfriend. Poor guys didn't see her death coming AT ALL. I wish I'd been there when the death scene first happened for my uncle-- methinks there would've been a great deal of awkward silence. :lmao:

Yeah my dad was a total dork, I could see him totally fanboying over AC and Kingdom Hearts an etc. I'm so glad he taught me the wonderful ways of Cleris at such a young age. <3

ohmygawd. I have an embarrasing Aeris moment, sorry not cleris.
I was doing my.. well last minute Aeris cosplay at A-Kon.. and some girl walked up to me and asked me where babies come from...and apparently I was the only person in the world not to know that lifestream joke. <_<;
I kind of just stared at her dumbfounded until she walked away. At that point I realized I should've just said "when me and Cloud forget to play it safe" ah sad day.

Don't feel bad, I've never heard that joke myself.

Oooh did you cosplay? Nah I can't make it to Animefest, I'm leaving for vacation in California on the 17th, and then being dropped off in Arizona for college on the way back. I'll be going to A-Kon again next year though. =D

Yay, atleast I'm not the only one. I mean really, how was I supposed to know to say 'lifestream' thats just stupid.

I hsve this most memorable cleris moment when I went to visit my good friend Yumi in Japan. After I arrived at her house she told me about an A-Kon somewhere near her place. She says it's gonna be huge and I can see many people dress as their favorite characters. I hesitated at first but I finally gave in knowing that there will be FF7 cosplayers there. I wanted to dress as Aerith but I was unprepared because I never knew such a convention would take place. SO I only wore a pink top under a red mini jacket, blue below the knees pants and a pair of red high cut converses. I also added in two gold bracelets and I braided my hair and tied it with a pink ribbon. I felt awkward as we ventured among the many cosplayers. After we viewed the whole area we stopped for a short while for some refreshments and some sight-seeing. My eyes wandered around excited to see FF7 cosplayers. Then my jaw dropped when I saw a Japanese Cloud cosplayer. I excitedly told Yumi about him (she was coverting with a Reno cosplayer <_< ). I turned back to gaze at him again and I gasped when I saw him walking towards me. I turned towards Yumi as my heart raced fast. Then I let out a small shriek when I felt a small tap on my shoulder. I slowly turned back and my eyes met his. He looked very much like CLoud. He dyed his hair blode and I think he used gel to hold it up. He also has blue contact lenses and his clothes were that of AC. He really, honest-to-goodness looked like Cloud Strife!! :cloud: I was speechless then he spoke something in Japanese I couldnt understand so Yumi translated it for me. Yumi was giggling uncontrollably and she whispered to me what the cosplayer said. He said, Could I be your Cloud? I promise I'll never lose you again, Earisu-kun. I was shocked and then I blurted out, But I'm not Aerith!! HE smiled at me and said, You really look like, Earisu-kun to me... Why dont I accompany you in touring around? His voice was breath-takingly deep and cool. Yumi pushed me towards him and I said yes. Then we toured around and talked about stuff. It's really funny how he pronounces my name. It was really a spring I can never, ever forget!! :cleris:

Gah, I'm late! Sorry! By next A-kon, I should have Gwendolyn (Odin Sphere), Shippuden!Hinata (Naruto), Song (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and perhaps Super Sailor Mars (Sailor Moon). Maybe more, maybe less--what's your convention schedule look like? My next one is Oni-con next month, in Houston.

Say, I don't do Aerith cosplaying myself, as I could never pull it off--but I do find quite a few fanarts in artist's alley. Anyone interested in having a look when I get my cable up and running to both computers again?

Awww, that is super adorable~<3 I wish I could see it on youtube. :lol: Sadly it sometimes scares me to watch some cosplay videos on the site after watching a Roxas/Xemnas(?) cosplayer describing how he'd torture Aerith. x.x But whatever, that was too cute. And it was a cool, sweet Cloud cosplayer. Awww. ^_^ That guy is awesome.

Aww... You think so? So we talked and when the convention was about to close. We started to part ways... I realized that I didnt catch his name. I turned back to his direction and asked him. Then he held my hands and looked deeply into my eyes. He said, I'll tell if ever we meet again. I'll wait for you, Earisu-kun. Then he softly kissed me in the cheek and left. I was really dumbstrucked!! Everytime I think about that time I blush... I dont know when I could go back there and if I could see him again but I know I will!! :fangirl:

neocolors07, I'm having one of my fangirl moments!! That is so cool! I wish I had a moment like that but I don't cosplay. I haven't since I was nine (that was Halloween as Super Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon). I really hope you two meet again. *crosses fingers*

There's this guy I've known for a year already and all this time I thought he was a Cloti. I never bring up any LT-related topic in any of our conversations to avoid argument since it seems a little inappropriate for us to argue over little things... considering that he belongs to a political family and our grandfathers already had a little spat back in their day.

I didn't even know he played FF7 until our common friend brought it up. I'm such a geek because everytime I encounter a local FF7 fan, I always tend to ask: CLERIS OR CLOTI?

If people answer Cloti, it affects how I interact with them (it's true), like I build a wall between us or something. But for the guy, I was surprised he answered Cleris and he even ranted about the Cloti community online.

I'm just glad that the guy is a Cleris. Haha.

Another Cleris moment happened when I was in Starbucks at the mall, all dressed in pink and my hair in braids. I was ordering a latté and after paying, the barista commented, "Lady in pink. Like Aerith Gainsborough."

I just asked if he played. He said yes and he liked Aerith and Cloud.

I'm just happy to encounter more Cleris fans. XD


And this other moment: I cosplayed Tifa from Advent Children. A Cloud Strife AC cosplayer was trying to hit on me. I shooed him away by saying, "No, it's illegal! Aerith is going to be angry at me! She's my girlfriend! I think you should find your own and leave the Tifas alone; it would do you more good!"

So, I showed the movie to a guy who'd never played FF7 before today.

So I asked him.

"Who do you think he likes more:The girl in black, or the girl in pink?"

"Oh, the girl in pink, definitely."

Well, on the 2nd day of school this year, I was on my way to gym class when I encountered someone who was new and had lost their way. I guided her and we talked while walking; it was just in an instant that we had already become cool friends.

It just so happened that she was in the same gym class as me. That day, all we did was sit on the bleachers and chill while our teachers organized some information and stuff. So I talked to her, since none of my other friends have the same teacher, and because she seemed different and pretty much--nice (yeah, not many friendly people here). I discovered that she LOVED anime and Final Fantasy VII, totally unexpected, so that brought even more sparks. :lol: (I FINALLY met someone who liked FF in my school! HOORAH <3) So yeah, that lead to another interesting convo.

So I talked about FFVII with another student in my school. YAY.
It was something like this:

~after talking 'bout random school/family/anime stuff~
Me: Hey, you play Final Fantasy?!
Her: Oh, yeah, love it!
Me: Score! Say… how ‘bout the seventh? ~wasn’t sure~
Her: YES. That game was awesome!
Me: ~overly excited~ OMG! COOL. I LOVE IT TOO. YAY I MET SOMEONE WHO LIKES IT TOO! I HONESTLY CAN’T BELIEVE THIS--THIS IS SO RANDOM AND NICE--
Her: Haha, yeah. Vincent’s awesome. I haven’t played Dirge of whatever but I heard it sucked. The story must’ve been good though.
Me: Yeah, me neither. I seriously want to play it anyway. Vincent!!! I saw all the movie parts though on youtube. Heheh.
Her: He's so awesome. But, I don’t really like Tifa though.
Me: Oh really, why?
Her: She was kinda annoying in the game. She was alright in the beginning but then she sorta kept on clinging onto Cloud when he was having his moments with Aeris. GOD. Just let him be, you were mean to him when you guys were teens!

Her: Ohhh man. AERIS! Her death was sooo sad! She was so adorable, I can't believe they killed her off...

Her: I know. I've noticed online before, most of the Cloud and Tifa people bash the Cloud and Aeris couple, while Cloud and Aeris people just hang around and not really bash the other. It's so stupid. XD

Her: And in KH2, Cloud and Aeris have this super cute moment... but Tifa is running after Cloud again! o_O; Weeeeird. I love Reno, though, and I think he'd be awesome for Tifa. I mean, I know it's a crack pairing, but hey, a girl can dream, right?

I was talking to a friend of mine...who's played FF7, and recently seen AC. She's not way into the fandom and she doesn't care about the LT, but she did comment after seeing AC that Cloud and Tifa seemed to have more of a brother/sister relationship, and it looked like he wanted Aeris more from the way his eyes were always bugging out in awe/longing/surprise whenever he saw her.

I was shocked, aha. And this is someone who's known in our circle for calling it like she sees it (the brutally honest type). So yeah, it was funny to see even she caught on to the CxA.

My sister doesn't support anyone. ^^ Knows about the game, never played it. And she doesn't like AC, as she finds it too fight oriented (and she's disappointed with the Tifa fight like I did. She supposed to represent the female aspect of the movie, but she didn't deliver as well like Reno and Rude did).

She did say that even if AC leads to Cloud and Tifa in the end, Cloud and Aerith is the bigger/greater love story in context.

She's so awesome.

Well, I created my own yesterday. I went to Ani-Magic dressed as Before Crisis Aerith, and when I saw a Cloud plushie in the dealer's room, I couldn't resist! :lol: So I carried him around all day, and a Tidus cosplayer asked for a picture of me with it! He told me to pose with Cloud pressed against my cheek. :fangirl:

Sadly, there were no Clouds or even Zacks that day, so I cried a little on the inside. :(

I remembered one Cleris thing I saw once. I went to a Video Games Live concert last year, and we had gone an hour early to get pictures of the people who would enter the cosplay contest. We first saw an Aerith, and then way later, a pretty decent Cloud. We then later saw them posing together, and someone near me asked them if they had planned on meeting together, and this is what the Cloud said:

"She's my girlfriend."

I found that hilarious, and I can't believe I had forgotten about that! I have pictures, too.
