I know it's just a fandub, and it's not even my voice, but, WOW! This girl sounds better than the original voice actress. Check it out!

Her voice sounds fine...but it still sounds a bit emotionless and stiff. That's the very reason why I can't stand Mena's voice. So far, Maaya Sakamoto has been the only one who I think can really bring out Aerith's gentle but cute and lighthearted personality.

It's not bad. I don't mind the slight stiffness, since voice acting is hard, especially without some training.
To be honest though, I liked Mena in AC. She could have been a whole lot better, but I do think her voice was Aeris-like. She just needed more practice.

Honestly, she sounds just like Mena. I agree with HD, her voice does seem a bit stiff.
I cant stand Mena's voice in AC, to me it totally sounded scripted. UGGHHhh and dont get me started on KH2!! but no offense to those who like Mena, i just dont feel her voice suits Aeris. I like the Japanese V/A alot better!

Well japanese voices are always much better in my opinion. I love Aerith's japanese voice. But still, that girl was good especially without any particular training... :ermm:

It's just as good as Mena Suvari's. The main problem I had with Mena's voice acting was that it sounded too fake and overly sweet. She said that she had difficulty doing Aerith and it shows. Same thing here. Still, this was really good for a fandub. Sigh, I wish that Aerith could have had a professional voice actress.

Same can be said for Mena too. Reno's own VA admitted it'll be hard for actors to suddenly switch to voice acting, and Aerith's character type is extremely easy to screw up. Sakamoto is THE Aerith in my eyes too, but to be fair, she's probably had a heck of a lot more experience than both Mena and Mandy put together.

Same here. I reeeeally wondered what was going on in SE when they decided to pick two newbies for Tifa and Aerith, but gave seasoned voice actors for characters like Vincent and Reno. Were they going for some kind of celebrity factor to draw non-FF players in or something? >_<
