Hi, everyone! I was wondering if by chance you had happened to see one of, if not the, favorite movie of mine. :)
The book, written by Nicholas Sparks (Who also wrote The Notebook) sounds SO good - I am going to buy it tomorrow.
On terms of the movie, I really like it - Mandy Moore is great! Also, it kind of reminds me of Cloud and Aerith - the love-after-death thing, and the fact that Mandy plays Jamie, the preacher's daughter, and Shane plays Landon, le "bad boy". :P Jamie is a faithful, sweet, all-loving girl, who still has issues - she knows she is going to die, because of leukemia. Landon still loves her, and still does love her - such a lovely concept...As we know. xD Also, Belinda could be Tifa! :lmao: She likes Landon, too, and...Yep. Those of you who have seen the movie/read the book probably know what the heck I'm talking about.
A personal favorite quote, which I love for all my couples: *I should quote this in my sig xD*
Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous. Love
is never boastful or conceited...
It is never rude or selfish...It does not take offense, and it
is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but
delights in truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to
hope, and to endure whatever comes.
~1 Corinthians 13:4-8
So...Share your thoughts on the glory that is A Walk To Remember!

Oops. I was on drugs when I was typing. xD Mental relapses. Yeah....
I was in a hurry to leave the house, and I got confounded. :P

Okay, I'm sorry, Lute-chan... I kind of hated this movie. The acting was bad, the script was poor, the story was cliched. Like The Notebook, it tried too hard to snap the fleshy tendrils of your heart. And you know what? I just didn't care. The plot was trite (just like The Notebook), and it didn't have the charm that romance movies have to have in order to be effective. Want to see a REALLY great romance? Watch Casablanca.

Or you could go watch Love Story. Same storyline.
Boy is arrogant and proud
meets girl and changes
girl dies of cancer
boy has problems with daddy
girl's death changes problems....

Yeah, I didn't like that one either. It's partially why I called the plot trite, because it was the same one as Love Story.

Hmmmm....I got the book, and I can truthfully say it was much better than the movie. xD
Oh well, everyone has their own opinion~! :)
