Title: Getting The Song Out Of This Site!
daydreamer198 - October 27, 2006 07:04 AM (GMT)
Look, I've found the instrumental version of Kiss Me Goodbye!!
http://www.kejut.com/kissmegoodbyeOnly, I don't know how to save the song. -_-
Any suggestions? I'm clueless. I don't even know where the music's coming from. :(

Nobody posted and there's almost 20 views... <_< (I can't stand when that happens. XD) Sorry daydreamer, I'll try to help you as best I can!
I think, if you have Windows, you can save the site (just go to file --> save) and it will save as a folder with the site's files inside of it... Then open up the folder, there should be a bunch of files from the site... I don't know if the mp3 (or whatever kind of file it is) will show up, but try it and tell me what happens. (I can't see if this would work myself because I don't have Windows...ish a mac user XD)
When you save the site and look inside the folder, there should be a document containing the HTML code. Skim through it to find the code for playing the song and it will show where it's coming from. (i.e. "http://website.com/music.mp3" or something or other) Try to copy/paste the source of the music file into your web browser and it will take you to another page that plays the song in whatever media program you use, like Windows Media for instance. Maybe you could save the file from there.

No, I tried it and it only saved the imgaes!
Do you know where the music's coming from? If there was a link to where the music was, I could get it, but I can't seem to be able to see it. :(

The music comes from a flash file:
http://www.kejut.com/artikel/kissmegoodbye/kissmegoodbye.swfI have no idea how to get music from flash files, so you're on your own there. xD;

Honey, folk might come and look in here, see they can't help and decide that rather than make a pointless post saying "I dunno!" they choose NOT to spam up the forums. *pats*
Anyways, your question! Hee, I don't know! But good luck daydreamer!
Edit: Actually, I may have an idea. Try downloading NetVampire (netvampire.com) and using that. If you can't figure it out I'll walk you through it(Hint: Use the url that MT posted and drag that into the download box)
Btw, the song is SO pretty! D'you have it with words?

Well you can right-click+save the .swf, but that won't play in most conventional music players. The music is embedded within the .swf file so if that's just a downloader, it won't work. :/
...if it's something that rips music from flash files though, GIMMEE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR AGES.
For those who want the song with Vocals

daydreamer, try using this programme to extract the song:
http://www.flash-decompiler.com/You're supposed to pay for it, but you can download a copy for free to do very small projects with, such as this one. The good thing is you're extracting a song, so you won't have any iffy things like watermarking to worry about.
I've used it before to extract a song from a Flash movie into mp3 format (Karasuso's remix of Suikoden II's
Reminiscence), and it worked fine.
yin-chan - October 31, 2006 02:16 PM (GMT)
Out of curiosity, would that work for extracting audio out of .flv files?
Lynn - October 31, 2006 02:24 PM (GMT)
I've never tried to do it so I don't know. It might work, though, since FLV files are related to Flash files, so you could always give it a shot.
Otherwise, here's a programme that might help:
http://www.moitah.net/#FLVExtractI've never tried it before, but it seems like it could do exactly what you want it to.

 I know, but sometimes it's frustrating when there's so many people that view the topic and then don't even make an attempt to help. XD
Have you also tried searching for the instrumental version off of Poisoned or Limewire? That's where I find most of the instrumental versions of songs I need when making demos and stuff. (You could probably find a better quality one, too...)

Hmmm, I'm not exactly sure how to use this. :( I have to export it into a file, but it doesn't appear there at all!

*eyes link warily*
I hope there's no spyware or anything in that program... I'll give it a shot anyway. Thanks, Lynn!
Edit : Alas, it didn't work! The program failed to run. :P

Ack, sorry to hear that, yin-chan! >_< Yeah, I'm usually wary about online programmes too, but I usually trust the ones offered on small websites more than those offered on big, clunky, badly-worded sites with a million pop-ups. Alternatively, you could try searching for something on Download.com.
daydreamer, it's been a while, I extracted by song a long time ago, and I don't have the programme with me right now; so I can't really give you a step-by-step guide. I think there might be a help file somewhere in that programme. If not, just keep fiddling and see what you get. It definitely worked for me, that much, I know for sure.
