Title: Rukia Or Orihime? (spoilers Warning)
Description: Who will win Ichigo's heart in the end?

darkmoonlitdreamer - October 26, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
I've wanted to start this debate for awhile and decided to finally do it. For fun, I wanted to see who thought Ichigo would end up with. Rukia or Orihime? Remember, I am allowing spoilers in this debate, so anyone who doesn't want any spoilers, STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY! *ahem* So let the debate begin! I'll start.

Personally I am a RukiaxIchigo fan. To me, they are super cute with eachother, not to mention how strong their bond is. When they first meet, Ichigo is already showing some signs of affection toward Rukia and they develop a strong partnership. But from the way I see it, as their partnership continues their feelings for eachother grow stronger. For example, when Rukia gets taken away (I forget which episode this is) she tells the wounded Ichigo not to follow her. But even so, even when he is in great pain, he goes to save her. He worries about her a lot and obviously has feelings for her. They have a mutual understanding of eachother and it is because of that factor that they make a great couple. Not to mention that in the first ending song for the anime, Rukia is standing there alone with a red ribbon. The lyrics, "Whose gonna comfort me and keep me strong?" also play a part in this. Images of all her friends first appear, and then the last picture is of Ichigo smiling. As that last image comes, Rukia smiles gently. I think this hints of Rukia's feelings for Ichigo, well at least in my opinion.

I'm not done ranting, but I do want to leave some points for other RukiaxIchigo fans so I don't steal all the spotlight. LOL.

Ahh...

I'm an IchigoxInoue fan... It seems Inoue can tell exactly what kind of person Ichigo is, and can tell when he's happy, hurt, etc.

When Kon had first taken over Ichigo's body, Inoue could instictively tell that it wasn't him. It just proves that she cares for him very deeply.

Of course the way Bleach is set up, there probably won't be anyroom for romance of this type, and everyone will probably end up being friends in the end... Nothing more.

But I do like Ichigo and Inoue's relationship more and Ichigo and Rukia's... They(Ichigo and Rukia) seem to have the generic, guyxgirl comraderie that alot of action animes have.

So to sum it all up... "Doubt anything'll happen, but I'm hoping for IxI."

I'm open to both IchiRukiand IchiOri, but I prefer the latter and always have (as much as I adore Rukia-chan and her sucky drawings skillz).

Ichigo and Rukia-chan definitely have a very, very strong bond, but it's hard for me to see them in a relationship. Neither seem to harbor much romantic interest in the other, though I see them as "soul mates" of a different kind.

Tite-sensei clearly puts huge stock in Hime's romantic feelings for Ichigo, though. The depth of her love for him isn't taken lightly at all. I can't say whether or not Ichigo feels the same for her, sadly. It seems doubtful that he sees her as more than a comrade but who knows?

Well, I suppose the fact that I'm a HUGE fan of RenRuki makes me a bit bias as well. ^^;;

Ooh, this debate has finally surfaced.
Well, I'm an IchiHime fan.

I totally agree with that. It is more than clear that Orihime is in love with Ichigo.
And Ichigo's feelings? Well....he doesn't really know how she feels yet, so I'm thinking we should wait and see what happens when he does. It's too early to tell but I'm guessing it'll be big.

Ichigo and Rukia definitely have the closest and most secure bond in the group, yet I don't think it's romantic vibes they're sending off to one another. They kinda act brotherly-sisterly towards each other, and man it's so cute and funny when they fight. :giggle:

I'm a Renji x Rukia fan too! *highfives Key* I guess I'm biased as well.... -_-

I'm for IchiHime. :dunno: All those Orihime being in love with ichigo hints can't all be for nothing.
*dramatic climax* And besides, it pains me to see a beauty in so much pain.

btw, you know in Episode 6 when Kon is unleashed, did anyone notice Ichigo found out that he used his body and kissed Tatsuki and Orihime without any explanation why??

I mean, he runs into the room, fights him, and runs out!! How the heck could he have known??!!

I was thinking that too. Totally odd. It's as if he actually saw it himself, let alone hear about it. :giggle:

Maybe it was like some super sense. lol

Anyway, I really can't see Ichigo with Orihime. I mean, sure he CARES about Orihime, I mean, she's his friend. But I doubt her sees her like THAT. I feel he has more of a connection with Rukia when it comes to that. Bot to mention when they are going to save Ichigo's family, Rukia doesn't force Ichigo to tell him about his mother's death. She understands he'll tell her when he's ready and I think that understanding one another, knowing what they are feeling at all times is more important then having one person be attracted to another person who completely ignores all of theri advances. And you have to admit, Orihime could put up a sign saying, "I LOVE YOU ICHIGO!" and Ichigo would probably be really aloof about it, or get uncomfortable. He doesn't really respond to Orihime in that way, but he does with Rukia. Like Cloud, I notice Ichigo speaks through his body language, facial expression, and eyes.

>_<

Please please please don't compare with Aerith and Cloud.

I am begging you. Please please please.

darkmoonlitdreamer - November 25, 2006 03:48 PM (GMT)
question mark? No no. I wasn't comparing their RELATIONSHIP to Cloud and Aerith's, but I was saying Ichigo's body language was kind of similar to Cloud's and all....

Hope I'm not too late! I just rewatched a few episodes and realized that I like Bleach. There isn't much canon romance, just a handful of one-sided crushes, so I'm going to give my two cents.

To me, Ichigo and Rukia already have a much deeper relationship than Orihime could have with Ichigo (it's just hard to see Orihime in a serious relationship). But the new manga arc might change that, you know, if Ichigo has to break through to her or something. I have to say that Orihime and Ichigo look compatible. They would make a cute couple. Ishida is another factor to consider though.

I'm not a huge fan of either pairing, but I'm a Rukia fan, and I guess that she likes Ichigo. I wonder if it's got something to do with Kaien; I don't believe she only say him as a mentor. Ichigo could be Kaien's reincarnation, and Rukia x Kaien is something I would have liked to see.

Bah. My rambling doesn't quite seem to have a point. Well, I confess. I'm fond of Byakuya x Rukia. Crackpairing? Yes, I know. I might start shipping IchiRuki soon just because it's got a decent chance of becoming canon.

Rinchan - January 3, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
I am so torn on this because I like both girls with Ichigo. I guess if I had to choose it would have to be Ichigo/Orihime. But now that I say that I'm now remembering why I like Ichigo/Rukia so much! Arg!!!! So hard to choose!

I guess I'll just wait and see how it ends and support that ship.

Lutearina - January 3, 2007 04:25 AM (GMT)
Hmm....I'm more of an IchiRuki fan. xDD

Probably because I think they have a deeper bond than Ichigo and Orihime... Orihime obviously likes him, but he really seems to be more in tune with Rukia. I don't know how I'd explain it. xD With Orihime, he seems to be pretty oblivious to random stuff, just like "Oh, really? That's interesting, Inoue". They seem to be more on a friendship level than anything. With Ichigo and Rukia, though...I just...See more. What he said in episode 63 - "I just remembered why I wanted to save you so badly"...Et cetera....I really just think they have a deeper bond. They just seem that way to me.

I make no sense when I rant. O_o Sorry.

DeathGigas - January 3, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
Hmm, even though I don't predict or expect any type of main romance to surface in the anime/manga, I do prefer IchigoxRukia (ichiruki). The reason why I like their relationship more than Inoue's and Ichigo's is because, like what Lutearina said, Ichigo seems to have much more interest towards Rukia. At least that's how I'm seeing things. I thought he was quite devoted and was ready to take on anything when he went to save Rukia, he didn't give up for anything. I mean, he might of done the same thing to a friend of his, but he knew he was going to save her, it isn't like he was hoping everything would turn out alright, he knew it would. HAPPY, LUTE?

Lutearina - January 3, 2007 05:14 AM (GMT)
Yesh. Lute is pleased by Dee Gee's level of obedience. D: Doggie treat for you. <33 xDD

Tacofoolio - January 3, 2007 04:55 PM (GMT)
I think yall can see which I prefer! :P Immediately I liked IchigoxRukia when I saw how they interacted, I see a lot more chemistry between them. Plus they just seem better for each other to me. *would get more into it, but needs to rest*

I was thinking the exact same thing..How could have Ichigo possibly have known?
But anyways...Im sorry for any hardcore fans on this page but I don't, nor have i ever, liked Rukia.

I mean she can be a likable charator and i am not trying to go all CloTi here but i seriously am annoyed by her presence.
IchigoxRukia is a big NoNo in my eyes  .

I personally like IchigoxOrihime..but thats just my opinion...please don't kill me

Lutearina - January 7, 2007 05:29 PM (GMT)
Hehe, it's okay! xDD I just don't like biased pairings...Like, you pair up two characters because you like them.

I just see more interaction and connection between Ichigo and Rukia.

With Ichigo and Orihime, they seem rather...Platonic. xD

Well yeah... I think he probably intinctively knew, just like how he felt that something was wrong and after fighting the hollow he rushed back to his body.

And I think the current arc is somewhat mirroring the last one. Inoue leaves to save Ichigo just like Rukia leaves to save Ichigo. And then Ichigo goes after Inoue just like he went after Rukia. So far Rukia and Inoue are on par with each other when it comes to the situations they were in with Ichigo... Of course it's not confirmed that Rukia likes Ichigo and it is confirmed that Inoue does.

Ichigo's feelings are yet to be confirmed, but I doubt they'll ever be.

Right now I'm more interested in how Chad will get stronger.

The pattern Bleach seems to go with the characters is like alot of animes that revolve around fighting... character gets beaten and shown how weak s/he is, then goes through training and gets stronger. Chad was shown how weak he is and is going through his strengthening period. I want to see what the outcome is. >=) Yeah, Chad is one of my favorites. =)

Yeah that is true.
Typical men to never show there true feelings..but i guess thats why we're so inept on knowing who he likes or not. heh

Just like Shonen Jump to give us another triangle love confused anime. :gift:
