I have been thinking, which is not one of my better qualities Why is there a whole Anti-Cloud Tifa section? I mean everyone here SUPPOSEDLY supports Cleris, right? So why do we need a section that is appears to exsist merely to remind you why you are Clerith? Isn't there a forum for this anyway? As a supporter of all Cloud love couples, (Cleris, Cloti, whatever cool name ZackCloud and Sephiroth Cloud and others.....) I was just curious as to why Tifa is the target.... :(

This sub-forum doesn't target Tifa at all. As you might find, there are many Tifa fans here (inculding myself). I'm not a staff member here, but I would assume the purpose of this thread is to discuss why Cloud and Tifa aren't in love. We can't really discuss it at other FF forums as we'd be attacked with a LTD.

By that logic, why have the entire forums just to remind us why we love Clerith?

There are many Cleris here who are opposed to Cloti (like me), and if you go back and read the rules, you'll understand why these forums were originally set up in the first place. Not only that, but some members in here are a part of LTDs...and we have anti-CloudXTifa sections specifically to help them out. All that aside, I think it's pretty difficult to discuss the Cleris relationship and at the same time, avoid making some comparisons to the other "canon" pairing.

The reason why we discuss Cloud and Tifa and not other pairings like CloudXZack is because it's the only other pairing that's truly in question concerning what's canon and what isn't. My only suggestion is that if it's bothering you, perhaps a neutral forums is a better place to be at. You can ask at CloudXTifa forums about why they have anti-CloudXAerith sections and they'd tell you pretty much the same thing.

This forum is here specifically for the cleris fans to say what they want and not be attacked by other fans. It's as simple as that. Why not have sections to explain why they aren't fans of the other pairing? :blink: I think they're allowed to explain themselves. Cloti fans shouldn't be here if they don't see the cleris pairing happening. Cleris fans don't go to cloti forums and clotis don't go to cleris forums, unless they can be civil and have an open mind.

As a rabid single Cloud fan myself, I cannot see why people can't follow rules based on forum theme. Not to mention the fact that this is a video game couple. I don't see a problem with this forum at all. It promotes freedom of speech for cleris fans without being hounded by clotis. Like I said, that is why it's here.

Also, this forum is FILLED with Tifa fans. Being against cloti ISN'T in any way being against Tifa herself. She isn't a target here at all, unlike most cloti forums where all they say is how much they hate Aeris. :rolleyes:

Let's see, we have an area to discuss why Cloti isn't canon because the purpose of this forum isn't only so you can state that you like Cleris. Most people here believe that Cleris is canon, and don't only like this couple as fanon. Meaning that there are lots of reasons we believe they are a coupling, not just why we would like them to be a coupling, if this makes sense to you.

Out of all of the possible pairings, the only one that would have any strong basis in the game would be Cloti, not because I think it is truly the coupling, but because Tifa was the only other character Cloud showed any romantic interest in during the game. I don't mean to insult any couplings you like, but there isn't enough evidence to any other pairings that anyone would feel a need to discuss why certain things don't mean Cloud was in a relationship with Sephiroth for example.

So basically, this discussion is for if you feel Cleris is the only true couple and want to give your reasons why you don't believe Cloud and Tifa are the canon couple of the game. It's great if you like Cleris only as fanon, just keep in mind that there are others here who don't think of Cleris as fanon, or that there are other possibilities that would have occered outside of fan fiction and such.

In conclusion, don't think that we're a bunch of nazi haters or whatever, just add in to why you think Cleris is great and the moments you enjoyed with them. ^_^
