I feel this game hasn't been getting enough hype. Before it was all AC, now it's all FFXIII. FFXII's the next numbered FF game! We haven't had one since FFX! :o So, we've got ONE WEEK TO WAIT! Let's chat about it while we count down ^_^

Well I don't know if this helps but I am excited about this game Sefie!

I remember when I thought it would never come and I finally gave up on but now its almost here and it is surreal in a way. But the graphics look stunning and I am interested to see the new gameplay. I always get a little worried when they change the gameplay but hopefully I will be able to play it okay :unsure:

Sadly I am not even that familar with what the storyline is but I am okay with that in a way because I like having hte chance to discover the story as I play it. Oh gee there I go I am rambling again, sorry, anyway yay for FFXII! :blush:

This is one game I've completely stayed away from, because god know once I get a toe-hold into its fandom, my feeble willpower will be overrun and I'll spoil myself within days. :lol: But from the tidbits Anti's fed us, I'm really looking forward to it!

I know nothing about XII either, I haven't read Anti's small tips, all I know is that Ashe is getting married as the start of the game.

Well, I have my new copy of Suikoden II that arrived on Tuesday to keep me happy till XII comes out over here ^_^

Though, I can't wait to start playing a new FF! The last one was X and I'm really itching to play what people have called the greatest RPG ever.

I won't judge this game until I play it and I'll admit it looks stunning, but unfortunately, it's like the only game in the series where the characters don't really interest me. I think I'll pick it up...just because I have almost every single game in the series, but I'll probably be waiting a while. I'm not itching to play it anyway.

Just to get you guys a little more hyped up, the opening FMV and the game so far looks beautiful, and it's certainly different from all the other mainstream FFs if some of you hadn't played the demo in DQ8's disc. And from the beginning, the storyline is actually very...dark. Just don't get too attached to any of the characters...or "pairings". :giggle:

Yeah, I've seen the opening FMV, PH, its absolutley gorgeous.

There was an add for the game in the BestBuy catalog. It made me even more excited! :D AND...you can get a free artbook with purchase. XD

I got the very last copy! *wipes forehead* Silly me forgot to pre-order it. Which is strange since I've always pre-ordered my FF games. But I'm just happy I got the game *and the strategy guide*. I didn't get very far because of homework and such, but its been a pretty enjoyable game. ^_^

EDIT: I don't know about Austrailia but Europe are definately getting FFXII between January-March. Probably around the end of February as "Early 2007" usually cuts out January. Austrailia usually gets the same release dates as us so I would suspect that you guys with get it around then.

Finally got my copy of FFXII yesterday night. Jeez, I was worry they give my copy away since I did reserve it. Wow, Ashe husband is sure hot and I don't mind Vaan's brother too.

I know how you feel. I have a presentation and paper to work on but the game beckons me to play.

Yeh, Lord Rasler and Reks are pretty darn cool. xD

I'm only an hour or so into it but it's really good so far. A touch slow but... Oh, and Penelo is so cute! The voice-acting is very well done here. I like how they used different accents for the different countries in the game, makes it that much more realistic.

I'm about 12 hours in right now. I LOVE Basch to death for some weird reason. I adore his voice. :wub: I didn't expect to like Balthier, but I really like him too. As well as Fran and everyone. CG is so happy that she doesn't have a problem with ANY character yet! *Explodes in joy*

Vaan is the only character I'm kinda "meh" about. Something about him just doesn't let me connect with him but I can tolerate him.

But yeah, CG is in love with the battle system because it is somewhat like the one-player FFXI CG has FOR SO LONG wished for.

Anyway, so far this game is a dream. Congrats Squeenix. CG's faith in j00 is resored even more after the DISASTER that was FFX-2.

Is it still illegal to buy the game and have a burned copy? Want to keep it unopened. =) I'm sure it'll be worht something someday.

And I want to play it so bad but I sold my flip-modded fatty PS2 and I'm waiting for my mod-chipped PS2 to ship in. It's killing me inside... O.O

My girlfriend is going to beat it before me... I can't let that happen. T_T I want to give her that sinister "I just beat it" smile.

I'm a couple of hours into. I'm at the part where you fight the er, big insect! (trying to avoid spoilers) and damn this game is SOO good (so far!). And I mean very, very, very good. But the load times for cutscenes and new areas are sometimes so long that I feel like my game has locked up on me. Anyone else suffering from the occasional (or maybe not-so-ocassional) horrendous load time?

And for the record, Balthier is teh smex. This guy is just smooth like butter. Smoother even.

I think it's because your PS2 is old. Mine loaded up pretty fast (though it does slow down when there's too many enemies in the area).

I'm around 12 hours in right now, and I can't say I like it a whole lot. :sweat: It seems a lot more of 'OMG PRETTY GRAFFIXX' than 'interesting plot and characters', but then again, I'm playing this after playing Tales of Abyss, so, maybe that's to be expected. :sweat: I just hope everything will get more interesting the more I go into it, you know? I'm trying not to lose hope yet.

It feel very FF-ish in my opinion so I'm quite happy. ^_^ And I am still amazed at the fact that there are no SUPER ANNOYING main characters. These ones just seem so non-anime-ish and real. Exactly what I was looking for. ^_^ Especially after owning and beating every numbered/non-numbered (minus FFXI) FF game. FFXII is just lovely, yus.

And the moogles! DEAR GOD, THE MOOGLES! They are love incarnate! And the return of Montblanc and Nono! Just pure moogle bliss!

By ze way, does anyone know where I could get the character render of ze Esper Ultima? Her design is amazing and CG wishes to play with it.

My PS2 is pretty new. xD Not new new but it dosn't give me problems with any other games. :/ I don't want to think it's my copy of the disc either. T____T
