Title: Dance?
Description: So You Think You Can Dance? :D
Maiden - October 11, 2006 01:38 AM (GMT)
I'm very bored, so I made a topic about, if you think you can dance? So...Can You?
I know for sure, I can. Why? Cause I teach it. I don't know if you guys have heard about a dancing called Clogging?! But, it's like Irish Step Dancing, but you don't dance on your tips of your toes, you dance flat footed. ^_^

I love that show. ^_^
Now that my little fangirly moment is over, uh, yes, I can dance. I also like to flatter myself into thinking that I can dance fairly well. Not enough to ever get on one of those shows or whatever, mind you, but hey, it's a start. XD
Oooh, that sounds interesting. I mostly do contemporary work. XD;

I personally think that dancing is nothing more than moving with rhythm. Hairbrush optional, of course. ;]
Dancing is one of those--wonderfully expressive and fluid things that defies all definition, yet is quite easily defined, if that makes any sense at all. Well, at least in my crazy opinion it is.

My sister will do that  She will go and grab my GoGo Boots and put them on and go and grab her tight Shirt and Jeans, and dance infront of the mirrior, but keep in mind my sis is only 4. :lmao:

haha! Interesting I came upon this topic after todays...erm...events. XD Today is Lit class, the teacher gave us some free time ((there was like 10 minutes left of class anyway)) to do whatever we wanted. So me and my friend Alyssa were really bored and tied our hair up in messy buns and got up and were like "OK! This is the 'white girls can't dance' dance" and we did just that. So no, I can't dance. I make fun of my lacked talent. It was funny today, though. And then my other friend Danielle got up and did it. We were just going crazy. And then...the bell rang. XD
I find myself wishing I could dance sometimes, but I sadly can't. I lack rhythm I guess.

I can't dance... I have no grace or rhythm when it comes to body movements... singing however comes differently for me...
I tried to dance at a party once and my friend laughed at me. I didn't think I was that bad, I was just copying other people, but after that I never tried to dance again. :( (She's such a MEANIE!!! *sob*)
By the way, I was the one who picked "What's dancing?"

Goddess..... dance..... what are these words you speak of? :dunno: I couldn't dance if my life depended on it. I mean, I've tried, but I just end up making a fool out of myself. BUT!!!!!! I dance when no one's around.... or, if I'm just bored. But, I've only dance in public at a wedding.... and, goodness those innocent people's eyes had to be soiled because of my AMAZINGly, horrid dance moves....

If you guys lived near me. I would teach you. ^_^ It's not that hard, once you get out there and learn.

Dance? Physically, I can make my body move to music, but...
...I really wouldn't consider that dancing, more like me spazing to music XD
But yes, I guess I do dance. Anywhere and everywhere, with or without music, I dance. Just for fun, and also because I can't sit/stand still. It may look extremely dorky, crazy and loserific, but I'm having fun, so I don't care what other people think.
Also, I'm a mascot. For my Robotics team!....'cause I'm a geek. And at those competitions this is what people think of me...."Dude, look at that girl....her dancing is so goofy and stupid. ....but it looks like she's having so much fun! Lets go dance with her!"
Seriously, half the people I meet up at competitions have told me that. My dancing was so goofy/bad, but because I was having a blast, they thought they would too! It makes me happy I can do that for people.
Again, I look really pathetic when dancing....
...but I'm having fun, and thats all that really matters!

Well, since I've been recently going to lotsa parties/receptions, I've slowly came out of my shell and started to really dance.; From slow ones to otherwise, it's been broken down. B) I'm sorry, but I don't really know how to step dance ... I remember that my friend from my old town used to perform every year, so I have an idea of it -- and it looks completely AWESOME. :woot:

Well I can't dance like you see people at clubs and parties do. But give me a nice open space, a partner, some classical or jazz music and I can dance pretty darn good.
I also taught myself a little bit of tap from obsessively watching Fred and Ginger movies.

I do that all the time. Watch movies and copy their steps, that's basiclly how I learned part of River Dancing. ^_^

Oh no way. I can't dance club and bar style, I can't dance classical style, I can't dance period. My body has zero flexibilty and I have the grace of a bulldozer.
