Description: Programs/Websites/Etc

Alright this is pretty straight forward thread and just "might" help some people who reads this thread at some point.

Just list down any or all "programs/webites/etc" that you find useful and you think others might benefit from. Please type up a description of the said item as well. Simple ne?

I'll start...

Programs:

Bitcomet- A BitTorrent client. Torrents use scatter-sharing instead of P2P. IMO way better than Kazaa, and other such P2P programs. Great for DLing anime, games, movies, etc.

Alcohol 120%- A program used(well I use it for) copying CDs/DVDs and/or creating/burning ISO formatted files. **It's not freeware though**

Stepmania- A Dance Dance Revolution simulation game for the PC. After downloading the main program you can download .SM files that act as the songs for StepMania. It's probably the best DDR simulation program ever. And it's legal. =)

VideoLAN VLC- In my opinion the best media player out there. So far it plays all of the regular files I have incluuding mpegs, MP3s, MP4s, AVIs and plays even the not-so regular files like OGG, OGM and MKV files.

Wesites: ...Well I don't know too many great websites aside from those relating to anime and manga downloads... >.O I'll just name a couple.

Stop Tazmo -Used for downloading manga. Some downloads are for users only but for the most part you can just download them without vbeing a member. Free downloads. The only problem is you're limited to 2 downloads at a time, which is actually pretty good seeing as they're completely free.

Anime Suki -Anime torrent site. You can download free "unliscenced" anime as long as you have a bit torrent client. Bitcomet listed above is oneof the many bit torrent clients you have a choide of using. Of course Bitcomet would be my favorite. >=)

And I'm done... for now. Anyone else have anything?

Oh, and if this thread breaks any of the forum rules(I skimmed thru but didn't see anything like this) MODs feel free to delete.

Wow, this is such a great idea! Very helpful and informative. (Should this go into Suggestions and Help or Graphics something, as it deals with computer programs & such, perhaps?)

Some programs I love and use:

Poisoned: ZOMG a Kazaa for Macs!?!? I love this program, you can download anything and it's SAFE to use! I believe it's better (and safer) than Kazaa or Limewire. Great for downloading music, videos, games, software & such.

Microsoft GIF Animator: I love this program. It's old, but it's good, and it's free. I use it to make animated avatars, sigs, banners and such. Once you get the hang of it, it's so easy to use.

Finale: This is the best program out there if you ever want to make music. I use it for school, but if you have a masterpiece playing in your mind and you don't know how to write music, or you know how to write music and you're looking for an easier, faster way to do it, this is the program for you. Unfortunately, it's not a freeware, but you can download free trial versions. You can make sheet music and hear what your pieces sound like. You choose the instruments. If you're not good at writing music or you keep messing up the rhythm, time and such, it has a self-correcting option to help you. You don't have to be a music student like me to use this and have fun with it!
