Title: Visions
darkmoonlitdreamer - October 10, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
Okay, please don't think I'm crazy but I think I see into the future. Actually I'm SURE I can. Lately I've been having these dreams that revolve around scenes in my life and every single one of them has become a reality. I know it sounds ridiculous but it's true. One night I dreamt I would get into a fight with my friend on a train, yell at her really loudly thus embarrassing her in front of my friends, and then ditch her and all my other friends (who would have comforted me) at the next stop, and screamed as I was getting off, "DON'T #*@$%'ing FOLLOW ME!"
The next day, the exact scene occured on the train after school. I also had a vision before the Twin Towers were hit 5 years ago. It started of with me running and this black shadow was following me as I ran into the city. I kept running to escape it, but hit a dead end at two large buildings. When I looked behind me, everything was destroyed by the shadow. Eventually the shadow engulfed myself and the last two buildings and then I woke up. That day the Twin Towers were destroyed...
I'm really serious. I honestly swear I am not lying about any of this. The problem is I tried to telling some of my friends, but only very few of them believe me, and now a friend of mine thinks I'm crazy and is avoiding me and I don't know what to do. The visions just come to me and sometimes I can even control when I want to see what will happen. Again I'm NOT crazy, and I really just want to know if I am believed or not here. So please tell me what you think about this. Thank you.

I don't think you're crazy at all. I've had my share of prophetic dreams too. They don't occur all too often, but when they do, it freaks the crap out of me. They're usually less vivid than the ones you've detailed. A certain scene will occur in my dream, and a few days later, the exact same scene will occur. I used to think it was just some strange psychological phenomenon. However, for my AP Psychology class, we've been required to write down our dreams as soon as we wake up in the morning since June. One time, when I thought that I had dreamt a scenario before it happened, I looked back at my dream journal. There was the scene in detail on the page, written three days before it happened.

I don't think you're crazy at all, too.
I, too, have my own share of dreams. Though they're generally more subtle and...okay, to be blunt, they're AU and WTF-ish. While they don't happen in exact order (really, a my school being possessed by vampires and wear clothes similiar to Homunculi from FMA...), stuff about them do.
Like for example, after a dream involving vampires, few days later, my friend told me about her theory on Dracula and how he can be real, but obstracised by paranoia.
As I describe my dreams I wrote on nFiction, they're either eerie (vampire) or just want to freak me out (Homunculi, I swear I'm put off their clothes forever). So don't feel as if you're the only one, darkmoonlightdreamer. Some of us do, just at varying level of detail and and predictability.

Um...everyone does this at some point in their life, usually. It's called deja vu. ;D
Athena/Fuijin - October 10, 2006 10:46 AM (GMT)
I don't actually get visions. It's more like dreams and I get deja vu feelings almost all the time. I just use Tarot cards to tell me about the future.May sound stupid, but it works for me. Like I got home from school one day and had nothing else to do so I 'played' with my tarot cards and it says "someone close to you will end up in hospital". 5 hours later my mom called me and told me that my grandma had been run over, and she was in hospital then!
Inuyatta - October 11, 2006 12:27 AM (GMT)
ooh...be very, very careful with Tarot cards. They don't quite work the way think they do. Same goes for ouija boards.
And by careful, I mean don't mess with them at all unless you have an efficient guard against the items themselves. X_x You wouldn't believe the crap my friends have to go through because they got careless and aren't knowledgeable enough to send their 'special friend' back. @_@
Aurora - October 11, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
I get them too. ^^ Do you ever get premonitions? You "feel" or "see" something about to happen, not necessarily in dreams? Sometimes I can see something that's about to happen, and if it's something bad I'll often warn people to try to prevent it.
Tarot cards aren't dangerous. It's how you interpret them. They don't necessarily tell the future; they're more of a guide. It's not like they tell you, "This person is going to do THIS to you on THIS date...." As for the tarot users, I suggest getting the book "Tarot Made Easy." It tells you EVERYTHING there is to know about tarot cards.
Ouija boards -- oh yeah. You have to be REALLY careful and do lots of research before you plan on playing around with that. Silvia Browne is the best author to consult about those things.
If you want to know anything about paranormal stuff, read Silvia Browne's books. She's so great! Her books are about psychic stuff, ghosts and spirits, divination, ouija boards, the works.
Athena/Fuijin - October 11, 2006 11:24 AM (GMT)
Like you said, the cards didn't actually tell the future but I figured out it had to do with an accident and a family member. And there was a time I tried it with my bestfriend and she asked about herself and her family and the cards "said" that someone in her family would get pregnant. It happend, her aunt became pregnant with twins.
darkmoonlitdreamer - October 12, 2006 12:38 AM (GMT)
Well at least you don't think I'm crazy. Hey, do you know what suckle spiders are? I had one in my room and it made an egg sack... Now I have to get rid of it with my jade. Oi vey... Anyway I also speak with spirits, though two of my friends recently got reincarnated. Right now I only associate with one of the three spirits. He's a Mystic named Derek and is a mountain elf. I also have a friend in real life who's a shaman. She's my senpai since I'm only a novice. I'm getting better, but my main specialty is feeling spirits and auras around me, as well as having premonitions and visions since I already have a lot of control over them now...
Nevi - October 12, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
I've had many visions and prophetic dreams, especially when I was younger.
The dreams would usually be about minor events but some times they would be about bigger things, such as moving into a new house.
Also I've had open eyed visions such as seeing angels and watching the floor move like water. Most of my dreams have more spiritual meaning that strange premonitions.
As for tarot cards and ouija boards, they only have as much power as you give them.

Actually, Tarot cards CAN be dangerous in the wrong hands. It's hard to explain, however...basically Tarot cards can cause damage about the same way a poltergeist can--only if they have a strong enough source of energy. The problem with Tarot cards is if they're used by someone who isn't grounded and stable, it can influence an unfortunate turn of events. Tarot cards in the right hands do work as a guide--but a truly stable, grounded person is not as easy to come by as you think.
yeah, what Nevi said--the items are as powerful as the person using them. XD

I agree with you 100%. Although Tarot cards are meant to be helpful and meant to be a guide, people often misinterpret them, abuse them and use them for the wrong reasons. As with any art of divination, it takes research to learn how to use it properly.
darkmoonlitdreamer - October 13, 2006 08:51 PM (GMT)
It's not only that, but by using tarot cards ignorantly or using ouji boards, you can summon some really bad shit. And trust me, evil manifestions that follow you around and cause you tons of misery are NOT fun...
Athena/Fuijin - October 14, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
How do you know if you're like stable enough to use Tarot Cards? I've never had problems with it,but I just want to know.
Inuyatta - October 14, 2006 11:01 PM (GMT)
Well, typically, how well do you think you could hold yourself in the worst case scenario? Are you sure of yourself, who you are, who loves you and who you love? Stuff like that--in other words, it's best to not be a teenager if you're gonna mess with the cards. XD Make sure you really study up on the items you're wanting to use, and at the same time, be aware that the books rarely have it completely straight either.
For example, the last person I had read Tarot cards for me was the one who did not go by book examples other than learning how to lay the cards out properly--her readings came directly from her heart and they turned out to be the most accurate.

If you go see a TRUE psychic, too, you can ask about the Tarot.
There are people who just can't handle using them... "OMFG I pulled the Death card.... AM I GONNA DIE!!!!!11!!```" I'm exaggerating. But I think you know what I mean. I mean, anybody can just pick up a deck of tarot cards and use them. Not enough people do the research they need to do so they can use them PROPERLY. But I'm sure Athena/Fujin, you're probably a stable enough person. You've probably been using them for a long time so you know what you're doing.
darkmoonlitdreamer - October 21, 2006 03:28 PM (GMT)
Agreed. The thing about telling the future is when you get a bad fortune, you must try to prevent it from happening. Well atleast that's what I try to do... Unfortunately, when I had my Twin Tower's destruction vision, NO ONE LISTENED TO ME! And then after it happens they all come to me to tell them their fortunes. <_< Effin bastards....
Inuyatta - October 21, 2006 04:39 PM (GMT)
No one ever wants to believe a bad fortune, so they're more likely to spend their time ignoring the signs instead of being aware enough to prevent it. =\

Yes, but usually it takes a psychic to find a true psychic and when that's the case, more oft than not, you just do it yourself if the one you find charges too much. ;D

Thank Heaven! Someone has posted a topic on one of my most worrisome issues!
I know the feeling you have darkmoonlitdreamer :huggle:....
But in my opinion I dont belive anyone in this world can be pyschic (someone may have said this earlier)...and Im not trying to call you crazy either....
You see, I spoke to my grandmother about this months ago and she tells me that this is God's gift. She says that God picks a few people as the chosen ones and grants them the gift of seeing the future.....through thier dreams...
Now to be honest, I wasn't really sure if it was true. I was 8 years old when this started happening, and I would always have dreams about a certain events happening to someone who closest to me....And most of the times they're about me!
But then something happened.....
I had "visioned" this event about seeing a city underwater for years up until the incident of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, Louisiana. (That's were I was first born) I never knew what it meant or what god was trying to tell me....so I kept ignoring it...
But when the time came for the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...the vision stopped coming...
And today I still question the thought of whether if I am truly pyschic or its just intuition...And I am still uncertain if I should believe my grandmother's words of wisdom...but I will for now....
But darkmoonlitdreamer you aren't the only one ^_^...Anyone can have this "gift".....its just depends on that certain point in time in a person's life, when someone will actually take heed to notice it....
And honestly I think you made the mistake of telling your friends. Because being at our age, people wont know what to think other than we are crazy or just being dellusional! Even my mother at me that way. I suggest you talk about problems like these with a family member with years of experience or wisdom....like a grandmother for example :gift:
Thanks for the good disscussion though :huggle:.....

Oh wow. You're like another Nostradamus! Thats amazing. Can you see visions for other people's lives too?
darkmoonlitdreamer - November 25, 2006 07:18 PM (GMT)
It depends. If I truly want to see what the future holds for me, I meditate and concentrate. It took a lot of training to hone my powers in on just finding out my futrure. That is what I've somewhat mastered. But when it comes to other people's lives, it's a little harder for me. It takes more work to tell other's futures if you're trying to do it right on the spot. I get most of my very significant visions through dreams.
Sefie - November 26, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
*Comes into discussion really late*
I dont' think you're crazy either! I've had LOTS of prophetic dreams. Mine are all about places though. I'll dream of a place, and then get there some time later. It's usually a place where something important happens, or I see the place while taking part in something big(like a garage I dreamed about, then saw the day that a friend of my boyfriend commited suicide).
Demos Maus - November 26, 2006 11:19 PM (GMT)
Your not crazy and neither is anyone else. I had my share of visions too but most of them are very....dark. Like something very bad happening but I don't dwell on it much, usually that would make the vesion more worse and more real. I have seen something to myself like seeing something that was going to happen and I dwell on it to think when and how this thing was going to happen.
