I have posted! MWAHAH! I'm the silent lurker that watches your posts! I am ff7sam! And sorry but I'm just usually shy. I love comming here and reading you guy's stuff though, there are so many wonderfull, intelligent people here, and I love reading all of your points. You guys made me see Cleris stuff I didn't even know existed.

Now on to why I'm posting. About 2 years ago I started finding a love for cosplay! My husband says it's like "taking something that wasn't meant to exist in the real world, and making it exist." Anyways, over the years I have taken alot of pics of my costumes that I've made for me and my husband, and since we cosplay as Cloud and Aeris I figured I'd post them!

This one was inspired by Lynn. I was reading the posts about the Aeris/Aerith posters in DoC and she was saying that it was Cloud posting these pics and they said "LOOKING FOR: Female, brown hair, green eyes, cheerful, answers to the name of "Aerith".

So I kinda took that idea and showed Kevin hanging up a poster of me that says pretty much the same thing. Only less words cause...me not good with words, lol!

Then my newest pic I took. I took alot of time on this one. I had to buy a whole bunch of fake flowers and grass and stuff and put them on little foam blocks and place them around. I also made Cloud's materia box (out of a cat carrier, lol) and his geostigma band wrapped around a memorance candle.

Oh, I love the Christmas pics, I'm looking forward to the holidays already, so it's not too early for them in my opinion. Though I was scouring modthesims for Christmas decorations for my simmie houses in September, so I'm mostlikely not the best person to ask. :sweat:

Hey! You saw us! ^^ What day did you see us? We were Advent Children on Friday and Walmarket on Saturday! Tons of fun there, I had a great time on Saturday just in the game room playing 4 player bomberman, lol! You cosplayed as Aeris? Were you at the AC photoshoot on Friday? There were only four of us Aeris' there that day! A really nice Aeris to my right was like "We're a dying breed....no LITERALY" LOL!

My costume is all me, the Cloud costume is kinda a little of both, the shirt was store bought and then destroyed and rebuilt, lol. I had to put on a zipper, black sleeve, longer neck with craft foam inside, different arm holes, stuff like that. Pretty much only bought the shirt for the fabric cause I couldn't find it at any stores. The pants were much more simple, I bought them and then just put on belts and buckles in different places up and down the legs where need be. The wigs and armor were all done by me.

Thanks! I love Sims2! I'm on ModtheSims like every day! ^^ I love that new Cloud hair mesh that Aquamarine made, that thing made my year! ^^

I saw you on Friday as Advent Children Cloud and Aerith. Thats so cool that, that was you! I cosplayed Lenne on Friday, and Aerith on Saturday. Did you by any chance see a Lenne cosplayer on Friday, walking around with a Gunner Yuna cosplayer and a couple people wearing Gothic Lolita(sp?) ?? I don't believe I saw you Saturday, I would've definetly remembered Wallmarket Cloud and Aerith (( :fangirl: )) But about the AC photoshoot, my friend's friends sister ((did you catch all of that? :lol: )) cosplayed as Tifa so I saw pics from it. It looked really fun! I wish I cosplayed Aerith Friday instead of Saturday. But oh well, there is always next year. I would've stopped you for a picture ((because I LOVED your costumes)) but my cousin told me that knowing me, I'd either break or lose my camera so I didn't bring it :cry:

Hee hee! Did you get close enough to us to hear my husband? He had speakers on a band around his arm and an MP3 player so he was playing all the music from the movie. It was so funny as we were playing all the songs walking down to the convention center, lol. People didn't care though, I guess that's the big city attitude, lol. When we got inside it was even better, people had no idea where the music was comming from. We had people scream "It's Cloud and his magical singing sword!" or "Is that comming from the materia?" LOL! I don't remember seeing a Lenne, but Otakon is always like a huge blur to me, lol. That sucks about your camera, you could have just come up and said hi anyways though, I love meeting new people, especially Cleris lovers! :cleris:

So on Saturday did you go to the FF shoot? I didn't stay long on Saturday because...those shoes weren't made for walking, lol. But I did get in on the FF shoot, maybe I saw you there!

Although I adore the remake of the date scene (WHERE did you get that wooden wall? Talk about luck!), I think my favourite is the last photo of Aerith sitting over Cloud. Loved the flowers, and even the small details of the box, the bandages, the cat carrier materia box. Seriously, that looks like it could've come right out of fanart!

The date scene was made when I was over at my mommy's house. She was always so proud of her pine panneled room, and we weren't allowed to paint it cause it was so great (we had an idea for a DDR room at her house since it would be too loud at our own apt). Then I noticed "You know....this kinda looks like..." :ermm: :lol: So my mommy helped me out and kinda set up some "booths" (which were like laundry baskets and stuff, lol) and took our pics! Then I CGed in fireworks later. I'm glad you like the last pic the best though, that was probably the hardest one to make. I had to arrange all these fake flowers on foam pieces, and then chase my cats away from them like every 10 secs. :lol: I always kinda viewed my cosplay as my only way to draw fanart, my drawing ability is nothing more than stick figures but I get all these ideas in my head so I just take a pic of them rather than draw.

WOW! I just looked at your pix, and I adore them! You two do a great job, I was in awe! *wishes she could get her husband to dress up as Cloud* :lol: Although he totally doesn't look a thing like him! Unless Cloud is secretly Mexican... :o But it looks like you had a great time dressing up and it shows up in the pix, I can't even pick a favorite because I love them all. <3

That's really awesome. Honestly the best cosplay I've ever seen. Very well done! You actually did Aerith's hair pretty well, and that's pretty hard to do! Cloud's too. Great job. :D
