I found this somewhere lurking around ACF.net, I don't usually go there but... *shrugs* Password is "faith". I haven't opened them yet, I'll have to wait till I get home on my own computer.

OMG! I opened them :fangirl: but all the pages are CxT :cry:

I liked how they translated the pages into english. ...and I love the Sephiroth art!

..I'm still upset though, they gave no love to Aerith.

The book is over a hundred pages long these are just the first twenty two pages focusing on Cloud and Tifa. So, there must be at least a page dedicated to Aerith. That's the page I want to see the most. XD

Anyway, interesting stuff.

Those pics look amazing *I bet their saving Aerith for last though, since she'll probably have the best section :D * Does anyone know when this comes out though? I went to AC.net and they said that its been released, but I don't know if they meant Japan or the US *they didn't say which* I'm guessing Japan since I haven't heard anything about it over here yet, but I just wanted to be sure.

Hey, interesting. See page 13. It's said she has a maternal bond to Cloud, who is a "big kid" in some respects. Even SE admits Tifa acts as his mommy, not as a wife. 0.o;

Sakurai said Cloud was "cool, but a sensitive character". He didn't like the straight talk...

Nomura saying the ending is baptism with training? Wonder what that means...

The Japanese blurbs are followed by official English translations. ^_^ Yes, a SE publication that's bilingual! It's NOT a dream!

And yes, that is Takahiro Sakurai, the Japanese seiyuu for Cloud.

Now, now. This is just gonna panic people who don't read the scans themselves. :lol:

It's not Cloti, just scans of Cloud and Tifa's sections, filled with staff notes, sketches, interviews and caps from the movie. There are individual sections for the rest of the characters as well (although it looks like Cloud, Tifa and Kadaj are getting a more major coverage)-- everyone from the WCM to Aerith. They're listed in the contents index of the book.

So don't worry, scans of Aerith should pop up eventually. I don't think it'll be as comprehensive as some people hope, though.

Pages I'm looking forward to seeing: Aerith's, and apparently there will be some shots from the earliest version of AC (most probably the infamous "Cloud and Tifa 20-minute drama").

Great scans! The artwork of Cloud and Seph nearly made me nosebleed though....XD

I would also like to say...on page 2, it says: "His [Cloud's] inability to forgive himself has caused him to distance himself from Tifa and the others."

Weren't the CloTi's saying he left because of Geostigma and he didnt want to put her through that? Well that theory is shot down for them once again. Looks like they'll have to make up something else. :yawn:

Interesting... On page 8 of the Reunion files, Nojima mentions that...

And for some reason, I found it hilarious that Nomura reminded Nojima to make sure Tifa wasn't portrayed as a "clingy woman". They must've read up on some of the criticism of her character. :lol:

...Actually, it would have been creepy (and a little sad... but mostly creepy) to listen to Aerith's message after she died. I can imagine Cloud saving it as one of the few physical reminders of Aerith he would've had of her, though.

Such an awesome quote. This really shows how Sephiroth and Aerith are the anti-thesis of each other.

Since Sephiroth is pretty....physical (sorry, I can't think of a better word! :lol: ) in the movie, wouldn't that make Aerith just as physical? It's just as if she's alive again! :lmao:

I quite liked their descriptions of Tifa though. Pretty accurate, and whoa, I never once linked her outfit to that of a barmaid's! Barmaid fashion must have evolved a lot since FF7 and AC!

The kitchen knife quote made me giggle too. :giggle: And hoorah for the love given to Cloud's goggles to make them different from Reno's and Cid's!

And Cloud's wearing an apron!!!! :lmao:

HAH!!!! FINALLY!! The wedding ring theory is murdered!! Tifa had been wearing the ring all along in FF7 as well!! This means that no, Cloud did not give her the ring sometime before AC asking her to be his hawtt bride. :D Ooh, Yin is loving the Reunion File.

*adds to the Ouch factor* Whoa...so Tifa's been pretty clear about her feelings to Cloud a number of times?! And Cloud still has....err...no response? Whoa. That whole passage seems pretty.... anti-Cloti to me, especially about Tifa being 'left behind by a man' and being 'hurt emotionally'. Ooooh ouch. That was pretty harsh for a company that keeps insisting everything is 'open to interpretation'.

Also the blurb about Tifa still not being able to understand all the complexities of Cloud's heart even though she's been with him for a large part of her life. Some people like to claim Tifa is the only one who fully understands Cloud -- well, what can I say? Thank you, Nomura. :D

Dont worry...you aren't seeing things...I saw them too...unless we're both seeing things. Just about everything that Nomura said about Tifa made me squee for Cleris...I cant WAIT to see what they put up about Aerith!

I can just imagine it-- Tifa buying him an apron so Cloud could work as a bartender in Seventh Heaven and earn his keep, except Cloud just HAD to look cool and be different from any other waiter by shifting it to one side!

You know, that blurb REALLY threw me off. I can't even remember if Tifa had a ring on any of her fingers in her FFVII character artwork (probably because the Cloudy Wolf didn't even exist nine years ago, but anyway...), so I'd thought someone had made mistake by mixing up the movie and the game.

On one hand, it totally kills the 'wedding ring' idea (what little, struggling life that theory had, anyway)-- but on the other hand, I can see Clotis claiming Cloud "adopted" Tifa's symbol out of love. :rolleyes: ...Shame Barret and Denzel did too. XD

Saw them too. We must all be wearing pink-tinted glasses. *adjusts hers*

The "made herself clear a number of times" part surprised me too. The Highwind Scene and events before it immediately popped to mind.

I loved the last line in her intro blurb so much. :wub: ...Er, assuming I didn't misread it, of course.

Thanks for the link, Aerith_kun! I'm sparkling from reading the utter praise they have for Sakamoto (if they're not gonna give a well-known seiyuu like her any space for an interview, praising her performance is the least they can do! [/rabidittis]).

She's not ^^; That's a mistake in the English, it's only meant to be just in the main film (honpen eizou nai).

The bit about Tifa's feelings, I'm not sure how people are taking it, but it doesn't mean like 'romantic feelings' or anything. It's anxiety and worry, the stuff about being hurt that from the previous line.

Hmm, their comments about Tifa were very interesting. She was referred to as "emotionally and physically strong". I wonder if they just meant in AC or in the game. She seemed very emotionally weak to lots of people in the game, but had grown stronger by the time of AC.

I liked the fact that four shots of Cloud in his section were his scenes with Aeris ^_^

'sono fuan', it's pretty different from 'feelings' in English (at least how it sounds to me, anyway). It's those uneasy or anxious feelings, I thought related to the line before it. The hurt she didn't let people know about, she probably was clear about it with Cloud.

The English isn't completely spot-on in some places ('I've never tired', 'depen-ding', etc).

It's been out a couple of days now, officially on Monday but some people got it early.

I find the line about Cloud being much more upbeat by the end of the game, yet his emoness stuck with the fans made them choose to potray Cloud as what the fans viewed him as. <_< PERFECT example of forming it for the fans rather than whats true to the game (ie making a Cloud who is NOT emo be emo).

Ah, I see. So it wasn't indicating romantic feelings. All the same, if she had made her worried feelings clear to Cloud many times, and he hasn't done anything to comfort her.... :razz: It's still pretty much similar, only in a completely different context.

Awesome Aerith scan! =D Loved how they talked about her and how she is the only one to help Cloud get over his guilt. But I'm certain now that we will never get any official artwork of her. :cry: Btw, the character sketches are sweet!

Maybe I'm just being selective about what I'm choosing to take in, but many of these comments seem a bit Cleris-slanted. Loved this part about Maaya Sakamoto:

"Sakamoto practically nailed every line on the first take. Regardless of how difficult the lines were, she delivered them extremely well. Nojima was so impressed he was trembling with joy (laughs)." - Nomura

Just out of curiosity, Wilhelm...but couldn't "uneasy or anxious feelings" also be associated with her personal feelings about Cloud? I don't think "uneasy or anxious feelings" would really rule anything out...right?

There was also a line here that Anti-R mentioned about how Tifa's bond with Cloud is a "motherly" one. I was wondering if you could tell us, in your opinion, whether or not that line had been translated into English correctly.

Anyhow, I suppose one may look at the whole family situation in the sense that Tifa is something like a mother-figure to "big kid" Cloud rather than the "wife Tifa" and "husband Cloud" perspective. After all, it does fit in with Tifa's statements about developing "motherly feelings" for him.
