I was thinking lately.

We all know that Square didn't put voiceovers in the Final Fantasy games till FF10. So that meant we all read the dialouge in FF7.

Now it's the year 2005, and Advent Children is coming out... someday. But anyway, that means Square needs to get voice actors.

So who do you think should do the voiceovers?

Cloud: Personally I thought Steve Burton did a great job as Cloud in Kingdom Hearts. So I wouldn't mind if Steve came back and did Cloud for AC. But in case Stevie boy can't do it. I think I can picture Johnny Yong Bosch* doing Cloud. Don't ask

(* He's the guy who does Vash in the anime Trigun)

Aeris: As much I as I hate to admit it. Mandy Moore did a pretty good job as Aeris.

Tifa: I have no clue why but whenever I read FF7 fanfics I picture Tifa's voice sounding like Kelly Sheridan*, again don't ask.

(* She did Sango in Inuyasha)

Barret: Not sure actually. I'll get back to you on that

Marlene: I dunno. Maybe Chantal Strand or Sherry Lynn

Yuffie: I think Christy Carlson Romano did a good job as Yuffie in KH.

The SHM: Not sure I'll get back to you

(* He's been in a few animes and he was in Reboot)

*Rufus: I have no clue why but I can imagine Kirby Morrow doing Rufus.

(*From what I've heard Rufus is in the movie. His name was in a character list I saw online and next to his name was his Japanese voice actor. It hasn't been confirmed whether he's the wheelchair guy or if he's only in a flashback)

Denzel: Aaron Dismuke maybe?

Reno: Not sure

I didn't enjoy Mandy Moore as Aerith, though. She was okay, but I think they could do a lot better. Aerith's Japanese VA is perfect, however, and Clorith is going to pounce on me for not being able to remember her name. :lol: I understand that Aerith's Japanese VA has done some songs in English, so I hope they use her in the English version as well. Even if Aerith has a bit of an accent, that wouldn't bother me at all. :rolleyes:

Yuffie's voice in KH was good, but I didn't enjoy Sephiroth's VA in KH. Sephiroth's VA needs to sound sinister and powerful, but Lance Bass just sounded like some Joe Shmoe next door asking you over for coffee.

I saw that character list, too. I've always been curious whether Rufus's name was on the character list from Square, or whether the site just put Rufus's name instead of WCM because they're so sure that Rufus is the WCM. It looks pretty likely that Rufus is the WCM, unfortunately. :(

The Japanease voice of Aerith is Maaya Sakamoto she does cute songs, she is one of my favorite singers. :lol:

Yes, yes! That's who it is... she's just *perfect* as Aerith, so I really hope they let her do the English version as well as the Japanese version. :rolleyes:

Cloud: Steve Burton is absolutely perfect for the voice Cloud. I love his voice. *sighs like a lovestruck school girl* Or the guy that does the voice for Kiba in Wolf's Rain. I love his voice also!

Aeris: I replayed Kingdon Hearts today, and I think Mandy Moore did a decent job as Aeris. But, I'd pick a different woman to voice Aeris for AC. Maaya Sakamoto sounded perfect. Hopefully, square can get her or someone who sounds and has the voice acting skills as good as hers.

Tifa: No idea really, but I like her Japenese voice actress. ^^

Yuffie: Christy Carlson Romano did a decent job. But, I dunno... I like the voice actress of Misao from Rurouni Kenshin. I think she'd be good for the part.

Vincent: The guy who does the voice of Tsume in Wolf's Rain or the guy who does the voice of Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha.

Barret: Mr. T? Heh, I couldn't resist. :rolleyes: I have no idea, maybe Ice cube? Samuel L. Jackson? I'll back to you on this.

Marlene: Dakota Fanning? Is that how you spell her name? X_X or the voice actress of Rin of Inyasha.

Vincent: Andrew Philpott (Braska's VA in FFX; D's VA in Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust), because this guy can capture the melancholy in his voice enough to fit Vincent, and his voice is still sexy. :lol:

It might be better if they put diffirent voice actors that we never heard of. I just dont like hearing the same voices again I guess becuase I watch too much anime and I can identify them easily, but I do like the voices in Kingdom Hearts.

But ya know. To me (and probably some otehr people) Kadaj does kind of look like a older version of Riku. Well minus the cat eyes of course.

I woudn't want the movie to be dubbed, I'd prefer it to be at it's original, japanese. I don't think they'll go through all the trouble to dub it, but even if they do, that's great. I actually didn't like Mandy Moore voicing voicing Aerith. Her voice is sweet, but it just didn't fit Aerith's character. Cloud's voice, however .. was great. But Yuffie's supposed to have a perky, cute voice.. Christy didn't make it. Christy's voice is too mature-ish. Lance Bass as Sephiroth? .. Uhm, he didn't sound powerful like how i'd imagine the Oh-Lord Sephiroth to be. He reminded +dissapointed me of how Seymour did in FFX.

Cloud-ME! Actually not really. Uh, I think, Chris O'donnel from Batman&Robin. Pretty much anyone besides that sissy from General Hospital who played him in KH. Or David Gallagher! He played Riku in KH, and I think Cloud and him are alot alike.

Aerith- I don't really know. X_X No one can match what I picture her to sound like. Except my girlfriend. T_T
