Title: The Geezers And Crones Club
Description: For those 20 and older

FF_Goddess - September 27, 2006 05:51 PM (GMT)
Well, we all know that all of the people on here who are past 20 years of age and who still -GASP- actually like FF and still -DEAR GOD NO- play video games are just too friggin' old to be doing so. We should all grow up and move on. After all, the FF games were all created by teens and little kids. I mean, the entire group of people who created the characters of FF and the worlds- everything- they were all teens and kids, right?

WRONG.

This club is for the people on here who are past 20 years of age and still love FF and are PROUD OF IT. We are in college, we have jobs, we have families, we have significant others, and -yes- we even have other hobbies. And yet we still find time to enjoy FF, play video games, and support the OTP of FFVII.

LET ME HEAR A BIG "HELL YEAH"!!!

As a 26 year old, I easily make this club.

Yukari - September 27, 2006 06:11 PM (GMT)
*deep breath*

"HELLZ YEAH!"

I'm twenty-one. On my birthday, should I have suddenly gathered up armfuls of games and thrown them all away, along with my PS2 and DS, and started to pursue a more appropriate pastime, like knitting or watching period dramas on a Sunday night with a hot cup of cocoa?

Sims, Final Fantasy, Tekken, Fatal Frame, Phoenix Wright, Resident Evil... If gaming after your teens is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

FF_Goddess - September 28, 2006 12:01 AM (GMT)
Ah, welcome, fellow old timers! :D

Alex, didn't you just join Whores Anonymous? You're a whore and an old fart, too?! So am I! ZOMG, SO TRAGIC!!!! *Emo tears*

LMAO!!!! :lmao:

You know, I mentioned to my boyfriend that the rabid idiots in this fandom like to nag me about my age and he said, "Yeah, I mean, all of those games they play were made by teens and kids, right?" I had never thought of it that way.

Boy, if we are losers, then Nomura should just fling himself into main street Toyko during rush hour. His damn life was over a long time ago! ZOMFG NOMURRA LYKES VIDIO GAMES LOLZZZ!!! GET A LYFE GAYASS!!!!! :tard:

Oh I know. I've become increasingly aware of my own mortality these past years. I'm always checking those obituaries to see if anyone I know got mentioned. It's terrible when you start to become thankful every morning when you wake up and realise you haven't died of old age in your sleep.

Someone hold me. Careful of the hip though.

It warms my black frozen heart that younger fans appreciate the story and gameplay of FFVII ever since they were two.

And yes, Nomura is over 20 years old. And he directs a game that has Disney in it. He's an old toad! HE DOESN'T BELONG WITH VIDEOGAMES! ALONG WITH 100% OF SQUARE ENIX'S EMPLOYEES!!! AIEEE!!!

Perhaps it can explain why some people never get the cleris angle at all? It would make a whole lot of sense.

Would like to join since I'm 100.

ZOMFG SQUEENIX R LOSERZ!!!!! :tard:

I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who questions the opinion of people who probably don't fully understand what being in love really means and probably have never really been in love or in a serious relationship themselves. -_- That is one reason why I got out of the LTDs. I got sick of arguing with a bunch of 12-year-olds about love and relationships. I wanted to scream "Okay, you twerps are CLUELESS!!!!" :lmao: Honestly, I didn't truly understand what love was until I was 22. That is the truth. Before then, I always thought I knew what love meant and had thought I had experienced love before. But, then I found out just how powerful love really is and what it really, truly means to be in love with someone. It isn't something to be taken lightly. And it isn't something you can know unless you have experienced it yourself!!! So, when some kid starts preaching to me about "Cloud and Tifa's perfect love story", I just want to bite something.... :veto:

You know... With all these teeny little cloti children saying how canon they are, they seem to be making the Cloud/Tifa pairing to be a bit...dare I say...childish?

I think it all has to do with their brains maturing, because you know... Teens are illogical until their brains fully mature. Thank you Psychology, wee!

LMAO!!!! :lmao:

Well, not all CloTis are like that, but it seems the majority of rabids certainly are. I have met a few CloTis who don't participate in the LTDs and just like Cloud with Tifa because of their own personal preference. They realize it is fanon and that is fine with them. Maybe they don't like Aerith very much or whatever. I have absolutely nothing against people like this, they are just another group of people who like a fanmade pairing.

Then there are older CloTi fans who are convinced that Cloud and Tifa are canon because of "evidence" that they supposedly have. However, when you take a close look at their "evidence", you find out that it is complete b.s. :veto: Personally, I think these folks have probably never been in love either. They may think they have been in love before, but I don't think they really know what they are talking about, especially when their idea of love means how often you can screw someone.

Anti-R - October 4, 2006 04:56 PM (GMT)
Sigh, I hate it whenever the whole "Tifa likes him ergo Cloud MUST like her in return, for they belong together" mentality rears its head. It just doesn't click for me...

Agreed. <_< Again, it seems to be related to maturity and experience. If you have had any experiences with romance at all, you'd already know that things don't work that way. Life isn't always fair and, just because you care for someone (or "deserve" them) doesn't mean they will suddenly notice you and fall madly in love with you. That's why us geezers and crones know better.

Bloodbath - October 5, 2006 01:39 PM (GMT)
I dunno about you guys, but I was always under the impression that being twenty was still kinda young. Then again, I'm just spamming since I won't be here for at least six years, so I'll go away now and leave you all to your oldness. XD

Yukari - October 5, 2006 03:23 PM (GMT)
No, Bloodbath, didn't you know that hitting twenty is a terrifying slip into old age? You start to get rheumatism, your eyesight starts failing, your hair turns grey, it's terrible. And everyone knows that old people shouldn't play video games! No, they should be bunnies at Alex's Playboy mansion queue for their pensions outside the post office and complain about young people these days.

Seriously though, the sarcasm runs thick in this thread. We're just mocking those fools who think that you shouldn't still playing videogames when you're past your teens, because you're obviously too old.

The reason that we geezers and crones are CxA fans is obviously because we're going senile in our old age. If we were still spry young things, we'd remember that being in love with someone automatically makes them love you back. Hey, it worked for Miaka.

QUOTE (Kaldea)

No no, we are the illogical ones, CG! Don't you know that a man and a woman (because Barret doesn't exist - he's just a figments of our biased Cleris imaginations) living together and raising two children must logically mean that they're in love and doing the sex every night? Because after all, that's how it worked with AVALANCHE at the beginning of FFVII, didn't it? Barret, Tifa, Cloud, Biggs, Wedge and Jessie all lived together and raised Marlene. So it was logically one huge ORGEE every night. Which we would know if we weren't so old and senile.

Lynn - October 5, 2006 04:01 PM (GMT)
*makes old, sarcastic lurve to Madame for that brilliant post*

This club recalls memories of some teen I heard saying, "All old people should just DIE."

I can't even begin to describe the idiocy of that sentence, but it's even scarier that the person was being dead serious.

Of course! AC and DoC was REALLY made to show that Barret went off to persue a career in talk shows while disowning Marlene for the sole purpose of recognizing Cloud is a sexier father, Tifa exploding in fertile happiness over the fact that Barret is FINALLY GONE because he has no part in her life whatsoever, and Cloud realizing that Jesse was pregnant with his baby when she died which DRIVES him into Tifa's horny embrace for constant sex and popularity for having a big breasted HAWT CHICK on his elbow. Oh, and teaching Denzel how to do crack like the best of them.

WHY DIDN'T WE GET THIS BEFORE!

Excuse me while I drive off into my oblivious little sunset in my motorchair ZOMGWTF. *Puttputts*

I should impale myself for ever finding that cute flower girl and Cloud's relationship enduring. It is obviously all about the physical luv...so what happens when Cloud and Tifa have visitors? Do they become like a cult and bowdown to the Cloti luv?
