Title: Supernatural
Description: Scary just got sexy

Does anybody else here watch this show?
Two weeks ago, I stumbled across the dvd of the first season and bought it on a whim. I've been hooked ever since :P At first, I thought the two lead actors' hawtness was what carried it, but the episodes got better and better: creepier, funnier, more and more dramatic, and I realized it was the great brotherly chemistry between them that was the heart of the show. :)

I'm too lazy tired to type out the summary so I nicked this off wikipedia:

QUOTE
When Sam Winchester was an infant and his brother Dean was four years old, their mother, Mary, was murdered on November 2, 1983 (the Day of the Dead in Catholicism). Her husband, John, saw blood dripping onto Sam's cradle, looked up, and found his wife pinned to the ceiling, her midsection sliced open. A moment later, she burst into flames. John told Dean to take baby Sam outside and made a desperate and futile attempt to save his wife while the house was consumed by flames.

After a psychic told John that a demon was responsible for Mary's death, he became obsessed with finding and destroying it. He trained his sons to recognize and defend themselves against paranormal entities. Sam and Dean became resourceful sleuths and competent fighters in order to assist their father in his quest to destroy dangerous creatures and find the demon that had killed Mary. However, Sam chafed against the lifestyle his father chose for him, eventually falling-out with his father and leaving to live a "normal" life. He attended Stanford University on a full scholarship and lived with a girlfriend, Jessica, in an apartment near campus. But when Dean appears one night during the autumn of his senior year, bearing the news that their father has gone missing while on a "hunting trip," Sam reluctantly agrees to help Dean look for their father.

The brothers trace John to Jericho, California, where they find more clues about their father's location and help solve a murder mystery. However, Sam declines his brother's invitation to continue the search and conduct more hunts, opting instead to return to his life with Jessica. Unfortunately, shortly after arriving in his apartment, he finds her pinned to the bedroom ceiling, bleeding from the abdomen. As Sam watches helplessly, she bursts into flames and dies in the same manner as his mother. Dean rescues his brother from the burning apartment, and the bereaved Sam decides to resume the search for the demon who killed his mother and his girlfriend. The Winchester boys then pick up the trail of clues leading to the whereabouts of their missing father. [They] travel across the country in a black 1967 Chevy Impala investigating paranormal events and other unexplained occurrences

Oof. Damnit.

I've been dying to watch this show ever since it popped up in AXN here... like... August, was it? Sadly, it's beyond the time I can watch without getting spooked out of my mind.

Is it really that good though? :)

Yukari - September 25, 2006 01:15 PM (GMT)
Ooh, I loved Supernatural. I can't wait for the next series! I did originally begin watching it because of Jensen Ackles' supreme hawtness, and was pleasantly surprised when the show was actually really good too. I did find Sam's constant moping a little irritating, but I could forgive him considering what happened to Jessica. And there were some episodes where the monsters were blatant rip-offs of horror villains. For example, the girl who came out of the mirror in Bloody Mary (Samara from The Ring) and the scarecrow monster in Scarecrow (Jeepers Creepers). But The Ring and Jeepers Creepers lacked The Ackles, so there.

Favourite eps:
Asylum (the monster of the week preying on Sam's resentment of Dean. I liked.)
Skin (nasty evil shapeshifter and shirtless Dean.)
Home (I loved psychic Missouri and her snarky comments)
Bloody Mary (creepy, even if it was a rip off of The Ring)
Provenance (throat slashing painting... *shiver*)

The only real problem I had with Supernatural was that they didn't focus enough on Dean angst. A lot of episodes seemed to revolve around Sam and his specialness. I'd have liked an episode that really focused on Dean.

aerisbolt - September 25, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
I also really like this show. Unfortunately I missed the last couple episodes of last season and therefore don't know how last season ended but I am happy to hear it came out on DVD, I will have to pick it up so I can catch up. But in any case I think it is pretty well done and I always like shows that deal with the supernatural so this was a no brainer for me, plus the guys are good eye candy so there is really no way to go wrong.

And MB I agree with you, I think there is a lot more to Dean and I wish they would start to focus on his story a little more as well, I would definately call him he more complex of the two brothers, but I like the way both have their own personality and own story to tell. But yeah Dean is my favorite.

Athena/Fuijin - September 25, 2006 04:54 PM (GMT)
That Ackles guy is so hot

Maiden - September 25, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
I love this show Sam Winchester is SO HAWT  :lust: He looks like Squall IMO, and I like the other dude, Dean , but I'm like so sad I missed the new episode

Kusari Yarou - September 26, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
SQUEE! I thought this thread would have no replies! Before this, the only one I knew who watched SN with me was my little brother...who calls Dean a "droopy-eyed angst bucket" <_<

I'm an insane Dean fangirl :fangirl: Boy, Jensen Ackles sure has evolved: from Lana Lang mancake to my current favorite primetime TV character. Sam is schweet enough , but Dean's the one who PWNZ me! His wisecracks, his car, his smirk  I love how he always refers to himself as "the handsome one" because it's so shameless, yet so true XD

Some of my favorite Dean quotes:

When he's about to be sacrificed to the scarecrow, to ensure a good harvest for the town:
QUOTE
"I hope your apple pie is freakin' worth it!"

To the creepy, human-hunting family:
QUOTE
"Oh, eat me. No, no, no, wait, wait—you actually might."

QUOTE
Some officer: "So, fake U.S. Marshall, fake credit cards. You got anything that's real?"
Dean "My boobs"

And when he calls Sam "Honey" and slaps his butt ater they're mistaken for a gay couple  I bet the slash fangirls went wild over that one!

...have you heard the rumor that Jensen Ackles is being considered to play Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil?

QUOTE
He looks like Squall IMO

 I always thought that too!
Heehee

To Bloodbath: Unless you're scared of smexy boys, there's nothing to fear XD. No really, the scares are pretty tame compared to Japanese horror movies(The Grudge, The Ring) or American ghost stories(The Sixth Sense, What lies beneath). Most of the episodes are based on popular urban legends adding a touch of familiarity, but the writers always add twists and put a Winchester spin on the story(Dean's wisecracks, the boys' past, their endless angsting, brotherly love) so it's never dull or predictable. It's like Buffy: not a comedy but sure as hell is funny. And the brotherly luff nearly always gives me warm fuzzies.
I suggest you catch the second season! :D

I REALLY hope this show doesn't get canceled, because that's often the fate of TV shows nowadays It has a lot of fans...but I hear the station is pitting it against CSI.... which is the number one show in America :(

Clerith-son - September 26, 2006 05:10 AM (GMT)
Supernatural was the best show to watch since The OC became a fangirlish/fanboyish show, and Smallville's last season was bad. Couldn't see 24, Prison Break nor Lost, so everything came down to Supernatural, and bloody hell, what a good show.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Jensen Ackles, since he didn't do much in Smallville. But his performance in Supernatural was realy good.

I liked the dark effects that they use in the series, and the fact that they use urban legends for their episodes. The show is almost as good as watching a movie. The Bloody Mary and the Hillbilly bastards were good chapters.

I want to see the second season already.

Kusari Yarou - September 27, 2006 08:04 AM (GMT)
My favorite episodes:
Dead in the Water- I liked seeing Dean doing "the Jerry Maguire thing" with the little kid; it was cute. Plus this was the first episode that really creeped me out

Bloody Mary- I liked the twist, with Bloody Mary going after Sam because of his "dirty little secret"

Home- with you on this one, MB, snarky Missouri was a cool character. I'm particular towards episodes that focus on the boys' family; seeing them both choke up and cry when they saw who the ghost was was schweet

Scarecrow- seeing them fight and trying to get on without each other(and failing). And the introduction of Meg! She was a cool villain

Faith- I think it had a really strong message. I especially love Layla's last line to Dean

The Benders- it had a great scare factor. For once, the villain wasn't something supernatural, they were just human, and scarily enough, could be capable of more evil than the paranormal could. As Dean said "Demons I get. Humans are crazy"

Hell House- so much fun in one episode! All those pranks(I was already cracking up during the opening scene), the ghostbuster wannabes, and an interesting twist on the freak of the week: that it was created because people believed in it.(There is actually a real site called Hellhoundslair.com, they created it just for the show  )

Provenance- chilling, and with a great guest star. Sarah was perfect for Sam, they had much more chemistry than Dean and his supposed love interest... <_<

I would have added Something Wicked and Asylum to the list, but I found them somewhat anticlimactic, even though they had great build-up

I actually haven't seen the last three episodes yet *sheepish*

My LEAST favorite episodes
Bugs- storyline had some potential, but the lackluster climax was laughable.

Route 666- Ugh. Do NOT get me started on this episode. The truck premise was silly, and Dean and Cassie had no chemistry at all. It just doesn¡¦t work, iffy chemistry but with Sam saying "You were in love with her!" at the same time. :/
Sex scene was pointless, and at the very least, they could have at least made it sexy. It was painful to watch >_<

Dean is my favorite character, as I said, but sometimes, I had a hard time reconciling his endless flirting and one-night stands to the young man who would "do anything" for his younger brother.
I agree, we need more hardcore, indepth angst, shake his happy-go-lucky nature up a bit :)

These SN comics are so kyoot! I can't stop squeeing over them!

That picture of him is smexy XD and I missed the new episode..AGAIN! I hate it when school takes over my life, but anyway, thanks for the pic I've never seen that before :lust:

My favorite episode from last season was the Bloody Mary episode, :D even though they kinda stole from The Ring. :lmao: and I believe they also on this season steal from The Grudge as well?! :ermm:

Kusari Yarou - October 2, 2006 04:32 PM (GMT)
Missing episodes, eh?I'll have to wait till the season's over there in the States, and then wait some more for the dvd. I don't get cable, therefore no AXN! *grumble grumble*

I forgot to add Nightmares to my list of faves! That one was like a mini- Final Destination, only with less gore and more Winchester angst. And I liked the emo connection with Sam and the troubled boy. Love Dean's last line in the ending scene too.

I just finished the series and...oh gawd, I want to see the second season already! I can't believe the cliffhanger we were left with! I have to add Devil's Trap to my faves too, it contained some of the most intense scenes so far...when they were exorcising Meg, the tortured looks on both boys' faces are absolutely riveting. And then..."you're not our dad" I was cheering for Dean all the while.

...However, Dean saving Sam's life with one of the precious bullets was reckless, IMHO. NOT that I wanted Sammy to die...but Dean could have just pulled the demon off his brother, or knocked him out with a shovel, or something.

I'm guessing demons are going to be the "main course" throughout the series, what the guy said about them being "everywhere" and possessing people is foreshadowing enough. And for some weird reason, I have a feeling that the last Colt bullet will be used to kill a loved one who will be possessed by a demon. I mean, that's practically a staple in action shows...being forced to kill someone you love. It happened in Buffy and in Angel too!

Bloodbath - October 3, 2006 12:00 PM (GMT)
Waa. Kusari, Madame, all of those episodes sound so COOL. >_> And... and... creepy! I want to go and see it NOW. Uh, last thing though. How creepy would you rate it? (Scale from one to ten.) It might put lasting damage on my mind.

Is it still showing?

Maiden - October 3, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
Those Episodes sound so scary :omg: I wanna see them. and I would rate the creepyness, like 8/10, it's okay, but it doesn't scare me, lol.

Kusari Yarou - October 5, 2006 10:53 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure if it's still showing, as I said, I don't get AXN. Let's see...the scariest episode for me dealt with a haunted painting. I will never EVER forget the way the ghost walked, or the grotesque look on it's face when it confronted Sam.
Maybe 9 out of 10 for that episode.
But for the episodes with the 'tamest' enemies(vampires, walking scarecrows), I'd say 4 out of 10.

The ancient-looking 'satanist' old lady scared me too, but I cracked up when I found out what she really was  The expression on Dean's face was priceless!

Edit: Bloodbath, aren't you Filipino? I just saw an ad for Supernatural on Studio 23. I don't know the specific show date, but I'll bet it's soon! Though knowing S23, they will definitely cut out all of Dean's cussing(which is a lot)

Alantie - October 26, 2006 09:45 PM (GMT)
Ahhh, I LOVE this show!!! *is a total Sam fangirl* :fangirl: Which is actually kind of funny, since I hate scary stuff and usually won't watch horror things, but I got sucked in! For me, the scariest episode would probably be Wendigo!!! *SHUDDER* I HATED that one!!! GRAHHH!!! Favorite episdode? Nightmare ^_^ I bought the boxed set so now I can watch it whenever I want to!! And yes, they are still showing the show. Its started its second season!! I'm not sure what channel it would be for everyone, but where I am, its on the CW (formerly the WB) on Thursdays. On my TV that's channel 81, but I know for others its 30.. . . *shrugs* I hope that helps! Long live Supernatural!

Yukari - February 4, 2007 11:06 PM (GMT)
I just watched the opening episode of the second series. O. M. G. Not only was it a Dean-centric episode, but it broke my heart at the end. (Not only that, but I'd just watched Grey's Anatomy's series finale with Izzy and Denny and bawled my eyes out.) Just how I like my episodes. Great start to the series, especially Dean's conversation with the Reaper, and what John did to make sure Dean would be okay. And I loved the scene where Sammy brought a Ouija board into Dean's hospital room so he could communicate with his spirit. And where John and Sam were arguing and spirit!Dean knocked a glass to the floor and he was all 'I totally Swayze'd that thing'. Ghost references FTW! Oh Dean, you can help me on my pottery wheel anytime.

Alantie - February 6, 2007 04:26 PM (GMT)
That episode was a hard one to watch. :( I kinda knew something like that was going to happen to John eventually though. *remembers the coffee cup falling as Sam runs to his daddy. . . *

I really liked the episode Hunted, since it gave us a new female character thousands of times better than Jo. Yay for Ava! *points to sig* Come to think of it, Jo is the Tifa of Supernatural. That means that Ava is Aerith. Oh man- I hope they don't kill her off. . .

I also really loved Playthings. It reminded me of a book I read when I was a little kid called Wait Till Helen Comes, since a similar thing happens between Maggie and Taylor. Loved the whole jumping in the pool to save Taylor. Wet!Sam is

Mmm, Bloodlust was a good episode too. Curse Gorden!!! *shakes fist* What a creep!

Kusari Yarou - June 4, 2007 10:18 AM (GMT)
Just saw the Season 2 finale, and now I MUST react...spoilers for those who haven't seen it...

:o  Why Dean, whyyyy???? I know you're reckless, I know you'd do anything to save Sammy...but...one year to live! And then some demon chucks you in hell! As if hell weren't hot enough, without Dean's hotness! Oh, I know Sam said he was gonna get you out of the crap you're in...but howww? If you worm your way out of it, Sam dies!
Bah! Eric Kripke sure knows how to leave fans hanging on to a series!XD

Alantie - June 4, 2007 05:50 PM (GMT)
Welll. . . I can think of a couple ways my beloved Sam could save Dean! For one, Ava, when she let go and developed her powers could control demons. Maybe Sam could do the same thing, and force the CED to let Dean go. That would be wicked.

I know, I was sobbing through the end of AHBL part 1 and all through 2. I was totally wigging out about poor Sam. :( Was it just me, or did you feel that YED's death was a bit anti climatic? I mean, he's this super powerful Demon, and he suddenly bites the dust? Which makes me wonder, if he really was the one behind everything, or if there's a worse evil out there. . .

And am I the only person ticked off that Ava got killed? Why do the cool chicks die/turn evil, but the Mary Sues *coughJocough* live?

Well, he bit the dust because they used the only weapon in the world that can kill him! That's alright for me. I am more intrigued by what Mary Winchester told YED before she died...she knew him! We may have seen the last of YED, but we haven't seen the last of his schemes!

QUOTE

Oh yeah, I liked Ava and she only appeared in ONE episode prior to 'All Hell Breaks Loose'. Compared to Jo, who annoyed me from her first appearance and never got better! All that whining about why she can't go hunt...and all that clinging to Dean,my gosh ...I'm evil, but I couldn't help laughing when possessed!Sam was taunting her in 'Born Under a Bad Sign'.
I'm also not happy that they killed Ash. And I know it was for plot reasons, but I can't help feeling that they wasted Andy as well.

Oooh...but then he'll be succumbing to the demon blood inside him! The "not-100%-Sammy" that Yellow Eyes mentioned!
I'm actually more worried that they will leave us with another cliff-hanger next season(ex. Sam becoming leader of the demon army, Dean dying to fulfill the deal)...and then end up cancelling the show anyway. I know, morbid, but after the CW axed some of it's shows, who's to say Supernatural couldn't be next? I just hate that they're putting it up against megahits CSI and Gray's Anatomy...do they WANT us to lose Dean and Sammy??? :ermm:

You get to learn more about Mary in season 4 which is supposed to start sometime around August. This is going to be a long summer...

Alantie - May 11, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
I hope season 4 will be better- to be honest season 3 has been kind of hard for me to enjoy. I've missed a handful of episodes, but the ones I've seen haven't been all that interesting to me. I did like the one where Gordon gets what he deserved- I think I cheered. It was friggen awesome!!

I missed the episode with Lilith- the white eyed demon? But I've been told she's super scary. Anyone know anything about her?

Damaged - May 12, 2008 01:14 AM (GMT)
All I know is that she's in the body of a child. She was at the end of one episode, but it was just a flash before she killed everyone. All in all, about 10 seconds of screentime.

Oh! Apparently, S3 is going on sale on Aug 28th (I think that's what I read).

EDIT: It's Aug 26, my bad. It's going to be a long summer....

Kusari Yarou - May 12, 2008 09:09 AM (GMT)
I was so anxious about the rumors of the writer's strike killing this show  So yay for Season 4!

Bloodbath - May 12, 2008 10:08 AM (GMT)
Haha, I haven't seen this show in a while. I've barely finished season 2... DX Oh noes.

But lawl. I'm glad other people didn't like Jo. I found her really annoying. :P And I like single Dean, so she kinda gets in the way of that.

AugoraTheMateria - May 12, 2008 01:35 PM (GMT)
HOLY CRAP!!! HOW COULD I MISSED THIS THREAD!!!! *spazzes*

First of all, I'm glad that they killed off Bela. She annoyed the crap out of me! Now, if they only killed off Ruby, that would make my day. ^_^

As for the long wait for Season 4, I suggest you guys read the novels on the Supernatural series. There is only two so far. I got them while I was in Utah last month, I'm still on Nevermore. But it's goooooooooooooood!

Damaged - May 14, 2008 12:40 AM (GMT)
Where can I get them? I've been looking for them, but I can't find them anywhere.

AugoraTheMateria - May 14, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
I got them at Borders. But they can be at any major bookstore. Just check online first to see if they are at store in your area. My sister had to look on Borders website when we couldn't find them at Barnes & Noble.

Damaged - May 14, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
Hmmm.... I shall check ^^ Thanks for that!

Alantie - May 14, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
*flails* Oh my Damaged, I <3 your sig!!! *has turned into a gooey puddle*

Did you know there's also a magazine for SPN? My friend found it at Borders and she's going to subscribe to it. :D

FYI, there are going to be at least 5 seasons of SPN. That's how many Kripke has planned out, so that's at least what we're going to get.

I'm afraid I've missed quite a few episodes this season, but from what I've pieced together- YED was Lilith's general or something, wasn't he? And Lilith is supposed to be the worst demon ever, most powerful and all that. . . so was YED trying to overthrow her by creating a demon army?

And I'm kinda glad Bela is dead- she was just irritating. <_< Now only if Jo can join her. . . I actually almost like Ruby. She's certainly a much better character than the other two. I like Bobby's involvment- he's almost taken on the father roll that John occupied, but now I'm paranoid that they'll kill him off too. And Ellen- she has only been in the first part of the season, hasn't she?

I'm kinda annoyed though- we were supposed to learn more about Dean this season, but I feel we haven't got anything besides that his necklace came from Sam. Weren't we supposed to find out why Dean's eyes bled in the Bloody Mary episode? Because he has some secret or something where someone died? And we haven't got squat! Nothing about Mary either. ARGH. I know that Mary probably holds a lot of answers to things- we just need Kripke to get the freaking ball rolling!

But yes. . . Dark Side!Sam. Who feels that it will happen or happen to a certain degree? Sam's been surpressing a lot this season, especially considering what happened to him last- he's sort of pushed that aside to deal with Dean. I'm wondering once Dean's in the clear what will happen with Sam. And his powers? Do we think they are gone, or are they just supressed and lurking in the shadows?

Whew. I've been chatty. Give answers if you so wish. *skips away*

AugoraTheMateria - May 14, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Thanks Alantie for bringing up Sam's powers. I've noticed that he hasn't had any visions this season. And in the past two seasons, he had like a junk load of visions constantly. This season, no visions. None whatsoever.

What's going on here?!?!?!

Alantie - May 14, 2008 05:23 PM (GMT)
I know, it's seriously frustrating to me!! I honestly don't think they're gone- that would just be retarded, and it wouldn't make much sense. Besides, Ruby and other demons still seem to think that he has something they can use, you know? I don't think they would be wasting their time with Sam if they weren't certain he still had powers.

I think the thing is though, his visions before were always connected to the other psychic kids and YED. So because YED's gone, there hasn't been anything for him to have visions about. But now that we have Lilith on scene, I'm wondering if his visions will start focusing on her. I think the only exception to his visions was the one where he had the dream about their old house, though I suppose technically that was connected to YED . . . *rubs head*

Either that or he's subconsiously supressing his powers? I mean, look what the other psychic kids could do once they started trying to control their powers and do more. But Sam's never tried to- he's more afraid of his powers than the others were. And he only ever moved something with his mind once- which bums me out. I want him to move something again, dangit!

Any other thoughts?

AugoraTheMateria - May 14, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
I also think that since Season 2 was based on the psychic kids, the creator(s) think that Season 3 should just be based on Dean and saving him. They completely swiped out Sam and his powers. The first two Seasons were based upon Sam and YED and since YED gone, there no reason for Sam's powers. But now since Lilith is here to kill Sam, he should be using his powers. But NNNNOOOOOO....

Yeah, Ruby and the other demons need him. But Sam is so clouded with the idea of trying to save Dean that he can't focus on other things. Like in the one episode with Trickster in Season 3. Sam was overwhelmed with anger and that he completely focus on hunting and such. I was glad that the Trickster showed him that he needs to move on without Dean.

And yes, I wish that they would focus on BOTH saving Dean and Sam's powers.

Gawd, it's so great to share my thoughts with others SPN fans!

Alantie - May 14, 2008 05:54 PM (GMT)
Ooh, yeah, that Trickster episode. *shivers* That was a really sexy scary look at what Sam could turn out to be without Dean. The bottom line is the brothers need each other, or the one that is left behind is gonna go psycho/dark side obsessive. Y'know, it's funny how Sam's always the one getting all these creatures on his side. Vampires, werewolves, demons, and now the Trickster god.

Yeah, the last two seasons focused a lot on Sam and his powers, and this season has been about saving Dean, but still, after all the attention Sam's powers have had, to go this long with nothing is just aggrivating, and honestly, it sort of makes things a little dull. They've not really raised any new questions- we're still stuck with the same ones we've had since last season. But a bit of balance would be great- saving Dean and dealing with Sam powers. First season I think did a fairly decent job of balancing things out, but season two focused so much on Sam and the bigger picture, and now season three is focused exclusively on Dean and the big picture has almost been forgotten.

But I think you're right- Sam's been so focused on saving Dean that everything else has been shoved into the background, including all his own problems. Which is going to probably be a really bad thing later on. The Trickster was really trying to point that out to Sam I think, that Sam has to remember himself in this mess, and to hold onto that, and not turn into some monster like YED would have wanted.

I know, it's great fun to talk to someone about SPN. ^_^

AugoraTheMateria - May 14, 2008 06:12 PM (GMT)
In the beginning, Sam wanted nothing to do with Dean and John. But now, their relationship in stronger (no, not Wincest). Now I see how Sam can't live without Dean and vice versa. They are all they have left of their family. Ugh, I can't believe I forgot this. The end of the 2nd Season, the reason of saving Dean. When Sam "died", Dean couldn't live without him. So he went to the crossroad demon to bring back Sam. Hence, Sam's obession (can't spell) of saving Dean.

Sam without his powers is like Dean without his Impala. Oh, heaven forbid if Dean and his "baby" ever get seperate!

Oh yeah, the demon army. I totally forgot about that till Lilith showed up and killed everyone in the police station. When was that? Close to the end of the season! The big picture was completely gone, like you said Alantie. It wasn't till Ruby mentioned it in that episode. Then I was like, "Oh yeah. The demon army. The last time I heard that was back in Season 2!"

And the Trickster. Gawd, I loved him that episode. It was the only other time that a creature was helping the brothers besides Ruby. He was telling Sam that the whole demon realm is suffering because he's so focus on saving Dean. And they need Sam to help them stop Lilith. It was the wake up call Sam needed but he isn't doing anything! He's still trying to save his brother. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

*shivers* No Wincest!! I don't know if it was so much that Sam didn't want to have anything to do with Dean- I think it was more that Sam was angry at their father, and since Dean was the 'good son' involved with the hunts and doing what their father wanted, Sam cut off ties with him because of that. Sam's always been so much closer to Dean than John- mainly because John was off on hunts, leaving Dean to take care of Sam, and because John and Sam are just too darn stubborn to get along, lol. It makes me wonder- people always say that Sam's the most like John, but I wonder if that's really true- we haven't got enough of Mary to know what she was like personality wise. . .

Oh yeah- Sam without his powers would be like if the Impala was completely scrapped making Dean Metalicar-less. T_T I really hope they bring his powers back, darn it!

I know! The demon army was totally forgotten until Ruby mentions it near the end of the seaon, and then we're all- Oh yeah! That army! Some hundered odd demons were released into the world last season! Ha, forgot about that with all the saving Dean obsessiveness! And they forgot about the whole Mary mystery with her apparently knowing YED. It really irritates me that we haven't even gotten any more tidbits on that. I mean, even a teaser would be better than this long time with nothing! I've heard so many theories on Mary and Sam it's amazing how creative people are with these things. I really think though that Mary holds a lot of answers to things, and we just need the creators to throw us a bone already!

And I know that saving Dean is going to be Sam's first priority, but he really needs to start thinking about the big issue- thousands of people are going to die if Lilith does whatever it is she's up to.

And is it just me, or did YED's plan seem a little. . . screwy? I mean, he makes all these special psychic kids, and then he has them kill each other off just to have the strongest survive? Doesn't that seem like sort of a waste? Unless he had something planned for the ones that died. . . like were they turned into demons? Maybe they were those demons that were let out of hell at the end of season 2. Now THERE'S a scary thought. And another thing- was it YED's blood that gave the kids their powers, or did they already have something special about them to begin with? Because why did he pick the ones he did, you know? Was it completely random, or were they special before he did the whole blood deal?

So many questions. . .

Mary's been mentioned so many times but she's only been in like what? 3 episodes. I looked it up on Wikipedia. Only 3 episodes! And her knowing YED? I never knew that. Hmm... Too much on saving Dean and not enough information on Mary and YED. I'm betting that the creators are too obessess with saving Dean that they completely forgot about Mary's connection with YED.

YED's plan? I never gave much thought about that. I bet the whole reason with the psychic kids in the 2nd Season finale and them killing each other off was to pick a leader like YED said. Then use whatever psychic kids there are left to be the rest of the army. I believe that YED's blood is what gave them their powers. Question is, why did he choose the ones that he did? Why them? Potiental? I don't get it.

I bet once the whole "Saving Dean" arc is over, they will turn their attention back on the unanswered questions. Or the 3rd Season finale will open some doors of even more questions....

Yeah, Mary knew YED. Remember in All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1 where YED shows Sam that flashback to the night Mary died? We see how YED gave Sam his blood, then Mary comes running in and sees YED and she goes, "You!!" So yeah, she knew him. How, well, that's another story. Yeah, I know, Mary's only been it for three episodes, blast it! The first, Home, and the one with the djin. That's another thing- when they see Mary in Home, she tells Sam that she's sorry. Sorry for what? Did she do something? Was she at one time in legue with YED? Was she one of those special generations of psychics that YED created? See, there's just so many gaping holes, and I really think learning more about her will fill them in.

I'm not sure what YED meant about potential. . . because if the blood is what gave them their powers, then how did he choose these kids anyway? And what was it about Sam that made YED 'root for him'? Part of it is probably that John trained Sam and Dean so well, but there's got to be something more to it than that.

They better get back on track after this season, otherwise I'll go mad. Because the next new episode is going to be the season finale, you know. UGH. And they had better give us a whole lot of answers in that episode otherwise I'll be pretty angry.

Now I remember Mary said, "You!" to YED. I think the reason she said sorry to Sam because she's sorry that she hasn't able to protect him from YED.

Remember, John trained his boys after Mary's death not before. But yes, why would YED 'root for him' anyway? How was he more special than the others? Was it because Sam is Mary's son and Mary knew YED? What's the connection?

Knowing the writers, the Season Finale won't answer a darn thing!

Yes, that could be it, but at the same time I wonder if she was saying she was sorry for something more. If there's some secret about her, then maybe she's appologizing for that.

I know- it just doesn't make sense. From the begining YED's always 'rooted' for Sam, and I really think it has something to do with Mary and her connection to YED. I read this fanfic where Mary was an angel and YED was her brother, a fallen angel turned demon, and Mary followed him to earth because she wanted to save him. It was really creepy, really well done. It's an interesting idea I think, and it would be even weirder if it came true. Anyway, I do think that Mary and YED's connection would explain tons.

Blasted writers!! Give us something!! Answer something dangit!!!
