Awsome :fangirl: Now, I want one :(

Amathala - September 17, 2006 08:06 PM (GMT)
Just a question...is this something endorsed by SE? I can guarantee it's not, and I can also guarantee that it costs an arm and a leg. If SE was getting the money for this, I'd definately cough it, but if not, I wouldn't bother. Most places you cant get it shipped to unsharpened anyway, then you have to pay for it, have it shipped to you, and then pay again to have it sharpened if you want it.

Too much trouble for me, as nice as it might be.

Lucian - September 19, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
sorry, but whats SE? and I bought it from ebay for $108, that includes shipping. and its pre-sharpened

Trisse - September 19, 2006 04:21 AM (GMT)
I think SE means square enix (i dunno). So is it endorsed by square or is it something someone made just for the fun of it?!?!

It looks Cool though :)

Correct, SE means Square Enix, it's just a way of shortening it. And since he bought it from eBay, I'd say it was just something a fan made. Neat though, I still wouldn't want to spend that much money on something...I mean...where are you gonna use it? @_@

Lucian - September 19, 2006 05:12 PM (GMT)
actually there is a company that produces replicas of Final Fantasy weapons, and I don't use my swords, they're for display. I collect them because I enjoy looking at them and holding them lol

TidusBlankety - September 19, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)

Love Blossom - September 19, 2006 06:56 PM (GMT)
Woah! :o You're so lucky! You don't know what I'd do to get my hands on that!

It looks great! It'd be great if we could see it on your wall or something :)

Lucian - September 19, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)

That is awsome KnighT :gift: If I had the money I would have already bought one, but I ish broke yeah cause mom steals my work money for teh bills  anyway nice ^^

Amathala - September 20, 2006 12:52 PM (GMT)
Umm...that's nice, did you really need to make another thread for it though? Lucian already made one about the Sephiroth sword, I think it probably should have been put in that one...I'll leave it up to the other mods to decide whether or not we should merge the two threads.

Lynn - September 20, 2006 02:55 PM (GMT)
I agree with Amathala, it would also be easier for other members to read about your swords if it was all in one thread, so I've merged them. Other than that, carry on carrying on~

I've seen fansites where replicas of the KH2 Organisation cloaks are made down to exact detail, so it's not surprising that people will make (and buy) these swords. I find it pretty cool, almost like bringing video game props to life, although I wouldn't buy either items either.

But if others have the money and desire to buy them, more power to them.

Great pics, guys, you two should definitely get photos of you posing with them! (All the best in lifting Sephiroth's blade, though :P)

Lucian - September 20, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
lol, i'll get the pics on this week, and I'll try to hold up the Sephiroth sword right lol

Kadaj - September 20, 2006 05:19 PM (GMT)
lol, thanks. mybad for the new topic, lol. yea, I hope that the swords are balanced properly (they should be :) ) and I'll try and get some pics up soon.

*Cries* But I dont have any money for that sort of thing...as pretty as they are...(I'd get a Buster Sword before a Masamune (especially one that size >.<) and a Sakabatou before that anyway...)

I hate WalMart...their cheap to their workers so I get duped on all the cool stuff >.<

MistaCloudStrife - September 21, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
I believe they've made a replica sakabatou before...

And in my opinion, the sword is good only for decoration; it's not even full tang. I would choose a genuine Japanese katana over an American-made wannabe any day. Full tang and made through the REAL process of creating a katana, not just pouring metal into a sword-cookie-cutter and then sharpening it.

Yeah... I've been in Kendo so I'm really picky about swords.

Lucian - September 21, 2006 05:04 PM (GMT)
I agree with that decaratoin only, lol, I'm not gonna buy a sehpiroth sword just to go break it, But alot of the swords are full tang

Kadaj - September 21, 2006 05:08 PM (GMT)
yea, I've seen alot of cool looking swords, but the thing is, they arent made well at all. I havnt bought any swords rather than the FF ones and a few others, but right now I'm looking for something good. I totally agree with you about the American swords, I'm looking for an authentic japanese sword. they cost a bunch, but if I get the money, I'd be willing to pay for it. What I've been seeing alot is a lot of people saying that their sword is all strong, but I wont buy one for strength unless they tell me what type of metal, how it was forged, and all the little details, lol. there is actually a family in Japan who still has the right formula for making VERY strong swords used hundreds of years ago. They cost 1000s of dollars, lol.
