I've been thinking into all of the Kingdom Hearts series, and I've thought out of many theories.
One of them shook me and some friends deeply. I'll get right to the point.
Sora's heart was unlocked and stolen by a heartless when he used Riku's dark Keyblade. At that very moment, Roxas was born.
Kairi too has a Nobody, Namine. Who was born when her heart was stolen from her before she was able to encounter either Sora or Riku when they got thrown to other Worlds.
Ansem, later to be revealed in Kingdom Hearts 2 to be only Xehanort's Heartless, stole Riku's heart and took over it.

Now, two questions arrise.
The next sequel to Kingdom Hearts, which I will reffer to as Sequel seen as it will not be named after the first three games, is rumoured to be before Kingdom Hearts one.
But is it really?
Riku's heart was also stolen by a Heartless, so he also possesses a Nobody.
I was countered with this theory as: "Riku's heart wasn't strong enough for him to have a Nobody".
And I counter-counter with: "His heart WAS and IS strong enough. He was the true Keyblade Master and DOES wield a Keyblade in 2. Therefor he DOES have a Nobody."
So, is Riku's Nobody this shady character that appears in the secret ending on Kingdom Hearts 2? Let us sit and think about it XD.

Nomura said it deals with the past and the future. Xigbar said there were "others", and there was already a legend that the Keyblade Masters either save or ruined worlds. Xehanort revealed that reason he was obssessed on finding Kingdom Hearts because of his missing memories. "Chasers" means key engraving. The clues are hinted at, but unless Nomura gives more substantial info we're probably be here still wondering.

Well, it felt like possession than having his heart stolen by the Heartless. Riku accepted the power of darkness by allowing Xehanort to use his physical form. He's literally a part of himself now, as seen in Chain Of Memories (where he defeated Xehanort's heartless and now resides in the dark recesses of his heart) and KH2 (where he used the power of darkness with himself in control, making him take the form of Xehanort again).
So Riku never lost his heart. So he didn't have a Nobody.
