THE NOTEBOOK !!!! The loving symbolism is in the air (with birds)!!~
"Behind every great love is a great story."

Ok. :3 Unless I skipped an already-existing topic for this amazing film, I'd like to start a discussion on it. ^_^ I first saw this last summer, but I still can't get over on how snazzingly phenomenal it is. I always watch it every once in a while, so that can shout how much I'm into it. Today I just rewatched it with my BFF's once again, so now my lovey dovey thoughts have been refreshed, if you can't soon tell. XD So, here goes ...

The Notebook (based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks). Meh, it's the shweetest love story I've ever been entertained with in terms of media aside from Titanic. So lovely. :blush: I mean, geez, this film frickin' rocks all you wear!! It's about these two lovebirds and how their sparkling romance transcends the unwanted "bumps" in life. The humor and reality is irresistably charming and original (and even tragic), and it surely warms the lighthearted. It expands more on ideal love, touching on mad interferences and sad twists. The "drama" ... even though I'm not always up for that, this film's kind of soap opera powerfully moved me. Noah and Allie's love, from teenagers to seniors - it was so strong and ever-so-lasting. I loved every aspect of their relationship ... it was just so amazing, so beautiful. ;_; AND, MY GOD... how a man would do anything for his woman - "his home" - totally kills me in tears. They can face so much together. I have learned that, if a golden, irreplacable love touches you one time, nothing can ever reach that kind of joy. Just continuing to embrace the dream of loving like that again (to return to that love) may even be more cherishable than just trying to find "the easy way out". With the one that you truly love, everyday's like a fantasy. ~happy to be sappy~ Sigh. I just hope my love life will turn out like theirs, and yes, I accept I'm trying to model after fictional pairings, to be honest. ;p

There are many other people (characters) involved as well, and IMHO, this story teaches you that the only way to happiness is to follow your heart - not what anyone else wants for you or for themselves. I find that very awesome. AND THE ENDING. MY GOD, THE ENDING MADE ME TEAR LIKE WHOA. (Did they reincarnate to those birds that flew in the end? I've been spontaneously seeing the symbolism lately and have been thinking about that with all my mind. XD)

As for movie criticism - the actors were OMGSOFUDGINGTALENTEDLIEKKICKASS. :woot: Not to mention super attractive. XD The storyline flowed nicely, taking time on transitioning for good understanding. I heard that novel was much less dramatic than the film (too many added twists/scenes), but at least it was majorly intriguing and building IMHO.

Plus, I also cannot help but squee about all the lovey dovey and honest quotations: "If you're a bird, I'm a bird" - "You can't tell me who to love!" - "It's not what HE wants, it's not what THEY want, it's not what I want; it's what YOU want" - "And it still isn't over!" - and much, MUCH more ...

*ehem* So, um, well. Sorry for rambling yet again. ^^;
Anyone else like to share their thoughts?? :gift: I'm all ears!! *_*

It's alright. XD; It's lovely~ I recommend anyone to see that movie anywhere, anytime! I can watch it all over again and still be sapped like the first time I've seen it. :cry:
