Welcome to the forums. A few things for you to keep in mind here before you dive right into the posting.
1. Read the
rules. Make sure that you read them thoroughly. If there are any questions, feel free to ask! Dont be shy.
2. Signatures. If you want a signature set, you can go to the Graphics section. Some people require that you have a certain amount of posts before they will fulfill your request. Make sure to give them credit in your signature if they do make you one, as it's very courteous, and also lets people know who made the gorgeous signature you are wearing.
Also, keep size in mind. It's cool to make and wear your own signatures, but try not to make them super huge, as it's hard for people on dial-up (and sometimes DSL) to load them. You can have one remotely larger signature, or a couple of small ones.
I've also noticed, that it's nice not to leave it cluttered as well. Dont bog your signature space with a picture, wording, another picture, and more wording again. Keep it simple happy.gif.
Another thing I'd like to add...quality posts over quantity. It's nice to be able to show off your post count, or have other members see it, but I'd rather take it slow and have excellent posts to show for my post count. Just remember, one liners are considered spam, and should be left to the spam section.
And please, I know that the smileys are lovely, but please try not to abuse them, for they are delicate, and were made with care ^_^
