I'm so glad I ended up watching this show. At first I thought it was just a poor man's American Idol, but man this show turned out to totally kick Idol's ass. I mean seriously, I'd rather watch this than its singing counterpart any day.

The dancers were all so awesome and I LOVE the judges (again, unlike Idol it felt like they knew what they were doing when they made comments - unfortunately, aside from Simon I just didn't feel like Randy (sorta) and Paula were all that helpful). Man, watching the show made me wish I never quit dancing :P

So for those of you who watch the show, who was your favourite dancer/couple and what was your favourite routine!

Oh and I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't yet watched the finale so I won't say anything - we should all probably mark spoilers too just to be careful.

Eee, I LOVE So You Think You Can Dance. I used to think it sucked, but then I started watching it again (from the middle to the end, which is why I only remember the top 10) and I loved it! Donyelle and Benji were my favorite team/couple, yes. And the last dance with Travis and Benji dancing together. XD That was total love. As for solo dancer, I'd actually have to say Heidi (-pokes av-). So glad that the person who won, won. :3

And yeah, I thought these judges were more helpful than the AI judges, other than Simon. In AI, Paula just seemed to compliment and didn't inform them of what they should improve on and stuff.

The show makes me want to start dancing, but I can't because I stink. (:

Indeed, I think the judges with their experience are much more helpful than the idol judges. It seems to me the idol judges are all like character archetypes and they play to those roles. The judges on SYTYCD are more fluid and go with what they see. They can be nice and they can be mean which is refreshing. ^_^

Although my favorite [Allison] was kicked off a few weeks ago, I was happy to see all these great dancers and dances. I can't wait for the next season!

And uh, on a more personal note. Mmmmm, Dmitri. :wub:

Edit Ack, didn't see the question. Favorites for couples were Dmitri/Ashlee, Benji/Donyelle, Ivan/Allison, Benji/Heidi and Travis/Heidi, although I would've LOVED to see Travis/Allison. :3

Favorite Routines? Off the top of my head:
- Ivan/Allison Contemporary to "Why" - OH GAWD THAT MADE ME TEAR UP. ;_;
- Travis/Heidi Contemporary to "Calling You" - So cute, so pretty.
- Ivan/Allison Hip-Hop to "Sexy Love" (or whatever that song is called) - Hate the song, but the routine was adorable. :3
- Benji/Heidi Mambo to uh--"Black Mambo" (?) - professional, fast-paced, loved it
- Dmitri/Ashlee Contemporary to "Dance, Dance" - I'm a sucker for those ballet doll like things.
- Ivan/Allison Argentine Tango to "Libertango" - <3<3<3, just too gorgeous.

As you can tell, I really liked a lot of Ivan and Allison's work together. XD

I adore this show! Sadly, though, I tend to miss it a lot. Although I'm not a dancer, I always kind of wish I took lessons. I'm always amazed by the way dancers move.

The only thing I don't like? That female judge's laugh. It just annoys the crap outta me.

Oh my gosh, her laugh made me laugh, but it was so annoying! XD Glad I'm not the only one who thought so. XD;

I loved that one, too! =D It was fun to watch, like almost all the others. :3 And I also liked the costumes... I think Ashlee's dress was poofy. Or something. Er, whatever. I liked her dress. :3;

Hey one question -were there any relationships that developed on the show? Like I heard about Dmitri and Natalie ?
