Hey, why not a club for one of the most famous FF summon creatures? :P

Well as you can see, this is a club for Shiva, all of her forms from the FFs. Shiva definately has to be my favourite summon character. I like the human sense she gives to magic and Diamond Dust always captures my eyes with the glittering of the ice and snow.

My favourite form of her definately has to be X as an Aeon. She's just so elegant with everything she does, how she enters (which is fabulous xD), her swift but kick attacking stance and how she casts her magic. And she breaks the cool barrier with finishing off her Overdrive by snapping her fingers.

That is the best part of the Overdrive! Creates a huge and powerful ice sculpter and then destroys it with a simple snap of her fingers.

Shiva is my fav FF summon so of course I'm in

I am currently playing FFXII and noticed that Mateus is basically the Shiva of that game. She really has an awesome design, very similar to a mermaid. :D I wish they'd just called her Shiva, though. <_<

lol, Mateus is actually a he, made by the gods to rule and protect those who live in the underworld, but then he went corrupt, imprisoned an ice goddess and uses her as a living shield. After that, he joined Ultima and the rest of the espers to overthrow the gods. Who knows, that ice goddess' name might be Shiva. Haha.

Yeah, if you have the strategy guide, you can read their background stories before hand. Or you can wait until you've obtained them and read about them in the Bestiary. :D

I absolutely love how they added details about the summons in the game, unlike FFX.

Well, back to Shiva, I really like her design. And her intro's my favorite out of the rest of the Aeons.

Its probably Shiva and Ifrit that are the most popular summons, they've been in every game in the main series since III and with XII they have been mentioned. I'm still glad she's listed in ^_^

I live in Scotland, just above England. We get XII on February 23rd and I'm getting it for my birthday! I'm really looking forward to it, just bought a magazine because it had the review of the game.

One of the Espers reminded me of Ifrit, I've still yet to see the Shiva look-a-like.

Yeah, Belias the Gigas is the FFXII version of Ifrit. Mateus the Corrupt is the FFXII version of Shiva. However, the ice goddess is a mere shield for a corrupt demon. You can see her in front of it and she looks like a mermaid (pretty awesome) with a blindfold.

Of course, some people maintain that Mateus is not Shiva, but... it is a female summon who just happens to be an ice goddess (being used as a shield for a demon of course). Who else would it be?

I think there is a picture of her in the official trailer to, it certainly does remind me of Shiva. Even if the Esper isn't really named Shiva, we all certainly know that it is a reference to her, she has appeared in every FF since III.

Mateus is the monster that is holding the girl "hostage", so techincally Mateus is a "he". ^_^ The girl doesn't have a name.

Yes, its the name of the crystal pieces monster that the Moogles can summon...I think. Haven't played FFTA in a while.

On the notes of that, the PS3 will be region free I hear, that means I can finally play FFT! :hyper:

What do you guys think of FFXIII Shiva? Apparently the summon, Shiva, is a pair of sisters in FFXIII, each made up of bike parts. They combine to make a motorcycle. :ermm: I am not sure about that, but I will reserve judgement until I've actually played the game.
