Who knew it could be so hard? XD

I just joined LJ (um... thirty minutes ago) and I am BAFFLED. Well, not really, but mostly about layouts and posting. Being somewhat-kinda vain, I'm worrying about my layout first. Is there any place I can get some pre-made ones, or even better, can I make some myself without a lot of trouble? :unsure:

Truthfully, I suck with HTML and formatting and all that jazz, so I'd like to try the former before attempting the latter. Could anyone help me? :blush:

The best place for premade layouts I've found so far is Freelayouts. You have to join the community to see the layouts, and they're awesomeness. They've got a help section in the sidebar with explanations on installing the layouts. ^_^

I learned all I did about creating LJ layouts on LJ Designers. The best thing is to read the memories first, as it would probably have almost everything you'd want to do initially covered (background pics, frames, etc.).

LJLayouts has several really good layouts for FREE accounts. You'll want to keep an eye on whether your LJ is using the S1 or S2 styles. When you click on "Manage" -> "Customise", you'll have the option of choosing S1 or S2 styles.
