Title: House, M.d

Ke-Ke - August 4, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
Does anyone else around here watch this show? I'm pretty obsessed with it. I'm still a little ticked that Hugh Laurie got snuffed at the Emmys, though.

I can't wait until the third season. If House and Cameron don't get together by the end of the series... :fury:

Then again, House's character is interesting enough. ^^

yin-chan - August 4, 2006 11:19 PM (GMT)
Oh hahaha! I watch it, I watch it! But I missed the season finale, so that was a bummer.

I love House, he's such a sarcastic badass. And yet he's so lovable. Hm, I'm not too partial to Cameron x House. I was kinda hoping she would hook up with ....what's his name...the blonde doctor. Argh, I forgot his name!

But yeah, awesome show. Makes me laugh every time!

Zelda - August 5, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
Ah! I love House! His love for Steve McQueen is hilarious.

Is it Wilson? I forgot too, ahaha...

Chase? She did... sorta hook up with him, didn't she? He's cute, but I don't like Chase as much as I used to, ever since the whole thing with Vogler, and then his assholishness in 'Heavy'. Foreman's my favourite out of the three. But yes, House is love! He's so snarky and bad-tempered, but there's something about him that's endearing. Plus, he gets the best lines ever. As for pairings, HousexCuddy FTW!

daydreamer198 - August 5, 2006 04:27 AM (GMT)
Cameron and Chase? :D OMG, at the beginning, they hated each other. After their one night stand, I think they hate each other even more. :giggle: Nah, Cameron's still too in love with House.

CHASE!! Yes, yes, Dr Chase! Agh, how could I have forgotten! Thankee MB!

Yeah, I really disliked Chase for those episodes as well. My liking for him improved very slightly after the one night stand episode though. He seemed to have repented or something to me.

CUDDYxWILSON FTW!!

..I hate Foreman.

ZOMGWTF??!!!

I love House! This show has me ignoring everything around me until either commercials air or til the show ends. @__@ House is of course my favorite character. Who doesn't love a sarcastic, snarky badass like him? He's just awesome.

Eh, I'm not into the Cameron&House pairing. I really find Cameron annoying... I really dislike her. Foreman was one of my favorites until he did-what-he-did to Cameron and didn't admit to it. So low...

Yes! I love them too. They gotta hook up... just look at the sexual tension/love-hate thing they have. lol Either House&Cuddy or House&Stacey. I was actually disappointed when they didn't stay together and Stacey went back to her husband.

Does anyone remember the last episode of the last season? That episode was... wow. 0_o;;

I always wanted them to get together :P but I think the show is leaning towars HousexCameron, unfortunately.

This show is unique and keeps you wanting more. Can't wait for the next season.

:D It was amazing, especially when he apologized to the man who shot him and the parts where he kept hallucinating and didn't know what was real and what wasn't.

Ke-Ke - August 6, 2006 11:21 PM (GMT)
The episode was nuts. O_O Still good, however. Very creative.

But the thing is, we know House isn't going to die. You can't take away the namesake of the show.

Onigiri - August 7, 2006 04:31 AM (GMT)
What I find funny is how come everyone is falling for such a "jerk" like House. He may seem 'cool' but when you are at the butt end of that sarcasm, I could see myself being very irritated, and feeling hate rather than love.

Still, I love the show, unfortunatly, I haven't been keeping up, so I'm so lost in all the pairings.

I did feel sympathetic towards his when he messed up and that patient died... But making those comments in Heavy about the little girl was inexcusable. House, who usually makes the jerkiest comments on the show, was overshadowed by Chase there.

I'm not into Cameron x House because it's so obviously one-sided. Remember that episode where she said that House couldn't deal with his feelings for her, and he replied that he wasn't the one who was displaying feelings? When Stacey showed up it was obvious that he still had feelings for her by the look on his face and the way he acted around her. He's never been that way around Cameron. He did miss her when she resigned, but I've never seen any hints of him being in love with her. Plus, he needs someone who can handle him, the way Stacey and Cuddy can. Cameron's too easily offended by the comments he makes and the type of person he is. Besides, I think House said it best with this quote:

Cameron: I have one evening with you, one chance. And I don't want to waste it talking about what movies you like or what wines you hate. I want to know how you feel -- about me.

House: You live under the delusion that you can fix everything that isn't perfect. That's why you married a man who was dying of cancer. You don't love, you need. And now that your husband is dead, you're looking for your new charity case. That's why you're going out with me. I'm twice your age, I'm not great-looking, I'm not charming; I'm not even nice. What I am is what you need. I'm damaged.

By the Foreman thing, do you mean when he copied her article, or when he stabbed her with that needle? The plagiarism thing was really low of him, I agree, but I think him stabbing her with the needle was more an act of desperation than an act of malice. He'd probably have done it to whoever was in the room with him at the time, because he just didn't want to die, and he thought that if there was someone else's life at stake, they'd work faster to save him. Of course, it doesn't excuse his actions, but I can at least understand a little bit of the reasoning behind it.

Haha, they'd be awesome together. I'm quite a fan of love/hate relationships, plus I love their snarky banter.

Cuddy: I am working, it got hot, stop acting like a 13-year-old!
House: Sorry, you just don't usually see breasts like that on Deans of Medicine.

Cuddy: I want to run something by you.
House: [loudly] I will not have sex with you! Not again! Miserable, that first time. All that desperate, administrative need –

Oh, House wants her.
I agree about House x Stacey too. I really wanted everything to work out between them, but I guess it's like Stacey said to him, that he would always be The One, but she couldn't be with him.

And that last episode. The guy's eyeball! The guy's exploding...bits! House carving the guy up! 0_0 Seriously nasty. But nastiness aside, it was an awesome episode. Almost as good as Three Stories.

They must get together. Either that, or it must be confirmed that they've been together in the past. About HxC I don't think it is leaning towards them being together. I know House used the operating machine on her in an inappropriate way during that demonstration (), but it was a hallucination after all said and done. As I said earlier, I find HxC completely one-sided. But I think Cameron is slowly getting over her feelings.

Oh yeah, if I was with someone like House they'd drive me nuts! I think the attraction is probably down to how women are attracted to bad boys because they like the unpredictability, plus it's quite a mission to change a guy like House. I do love his character, but if he was a real person I probably wouldn't be able to deal with him, however much I admired him. His character isn't just about the sarcasm though. If it was, he'd just be a flat, typical character, and he wouldn't have the fan following that he does.

*revives*

Personally, my least favorite of the ducklings is Chase. Selling House out to Vogler, kissing that girl, being a bratty pain in the you-know-what... he's so emotionally immature. That's part of the reason I don't ship Cameron/Chase.

I kind of like Cuddy/House, though, I'll admit it. Their arguments are just a joy to watch.

I love House! I pretty much think it is the greatest TV show ever. I can't wait for the third season to come back on after the world series. :( they shouldn't have taken it off.. I am so House deprived. House and Cameron need to get together already because it is making me crazy!

 You do realize that it ended up being all a dream, right?

>_< That was the one thing my English teacher told me you should never write in a story.

Oh, well. I was so relived, because the patient didn't die a horrible death.

*reads the old pairing discussion* House/Cameron? House/Cuddy?

Bah!

House/Wilson FTW! :tard:

Seriously though, even if House gets a ton of great lines (heck, many of the show's cast does), one of Wilson's absolutely won me over. It was in that episode when a boy got sick from wearing new jeans that had been previously exposed to some insecticide or other. So Wilson says something like, "I don't wash my new shirt before I wear it. Living life on the edge."

My brother and I use that line on each other all that time. It's perfect.

I've read a bit about the second season finale (mostly a friend's WTFFFF! reaction to everything being a dream--and I agree, daydreamer, I've always read that one should never write a "dream fic", and now we have actual, professional, paid writers doing exactly that!), but never watched it myself. *sigh* AXN needs to rerun House every day when I return to Malaysia, dammit.
