Title: Miss Universe
Description: T_T be honest....

daydreamer198 - July 27, 2006 08:08 PM (GMT)
Was anyone disappointed this year?

I sure was.

Not even half the girls this year were drop dead grogeous enough! Seriously, I was watching with my mom and she was like "Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, ew,....she looks alright.....ew, ew, ew, ew....."
OMFG! Porta Rica?! :o Porta Rica was crowned?! I really couldn't believe it, she was ugly!
Not meaning to be biased, but I seriously thought (and my mom) that Miss Australia and Miss New Zealand looked prettier, and more natural, than the top 20.

Well....except Bolovia, USA and Japan, they were pretty.

Did anyone else notice Switzerland was anorexic?
T & T had huge cheeks, and it looked like everyone had dimple implants...

My god, Carson and Shandi got on my nerves!

"Did you , like, realize that, like, most of the top 20 are, like, blonde?!"
Drove me nuts!

What did you think?

OMG, I SOOO FEEL FOR YA! I thought the winner was kinda disappointing... And, omg SWEDEN WAS SOOO SKINNY! OMG, ANOREXIC! Her ribs were like.... WAAA! :o

But, i thought Miss America look lovely... i'm glad she got in the final 10. And, i can see why Miss Canada won last year... boy, was she gorgeous. :lust:

And, ya i didn't think Puerto Rico was that pretty.... i mean, thats how i feel anyways as DayDreamer198 said. :huggle:

So, I assume you all look better than them then? Why don't YOU try becoming Miss Universe then? ^_^

Anyways,

But I was disappointed though, I really wanted Japan to win, I just don't get why Puerto Rico beat her, honestly. Puerto Rico was pretty, but I don't think she was prettier than a lot of the girls there, and the ones brought into the top 20 weren't the prettiest out of all of 'em. Miss Canada this year was gorgeous too, the only reason for her not making the top five would be because Miss Canada won last year...

Btw guys, my mom and I also noticed that the translators weren't translating correctly, in that one last round where they asked the girl a question from the box.

We were simply giving our opinions.... geez.... :ermm: I'm not saying its exactly EASY, but we simply think they could of done better.

^ it's perfectly okay to give opinions, goddess. ^_^
Let's all be nice now and try to get along.

I didn't really have a favorite in the competition either. However, by the time the final questions were answered, I was sort of expecting Miss Japan to win...so I was a bit surprised when Miss Puerto Rico won. Ah well, hopefully it'll be more interesting next year.

Do you really think that was a factor? I'm not so sure...

That's interesting. Which questions and answers weren't translated correctly, Rikkulicious? That's a really big issue with using translaters. Sometimes, their translations aren't accurate at all, or they just can't quite capure what it is that the person is really trying to say. I feel bad for the contestants who needed them. :(

If your opinion consists of 'OMG SHE'S ANOREXIC, SHE'S UGLY' then it really shouldn't even be said in the first place. How would you feel if someone said that to you? -_-

Yes, there's a round strictly devoted to if your country won last year.

I'm just saying she was really pretty, and should've made the top 5, but then again it would've been a bit unfair if Canada won two years in a row.

Well, I'm half-Spanish and my mom's from Peru, so the one she could understand was the one from Miss Puerto Rico, the dude translated the question fine, but with the answer he missed a huge part, I think, I can't quite remember what the two different answers were, though. Oh, and Miss Japan's translator didn't translate her answer, AT ALL, only the last sentence she said at the end about being excited. T_T

I still don't get why PR passed out afterwards because of that dress. It looked like it was hanging off her!

I really wanted Japan to win :ermm: Not that I look prettier or anything (cause I'm ugly as hell  ) but Porta Rica was just not as pretty  and USA was just a true Blonde <_< Japan should have topped Porta Rica, but at least she got First winner up ^_^
