I never played the Grandia series but I heard it was a great RPG game. So I was wondering if I should but it or not. I know they have three games and I saw the second and third in stores. Should I buy it? Is it a great game? Tell me....

I've heard alot about Grandia..but i've never played it. The story looks really good and the characters too! :)

I think it's one of the best PS1 games (the first one). The only RPGs that rival it are the FF series.
The graphics aren't very advanced but I like them the way they are. The battle system is pretty good and easy to control. The story is good and makes you want to progress. The characters are pretty amusing since they're unlikely heroes. And the length of the game is perfect since it spans 2 discs.
Not played number 2.

Personally, I loved Grandia 2, and the first one was okay. Though, I've heard high praise for the first Grandia. I haven't played the others though. I would recommend Grandia 2. They aren't related so you can play 2 before 1. Kinda like FFs

I already posted about Grandia
here. Since mine just has my own post in it shouldn't mine be merged with this topic?

I'm playing Grandia II right now, and I just cleared out all the special items in Raul Hills 2 (ALL RIGHT, GIGGETY GIGGETY! >D)--love this game!

Ack...I know this is such an old thread, but I own and have played both Grandia 2 and 3. What I would recommend is for you to rent those games first. Personally, I love them both...but my brother (who happens to also be a huge gamer) was slightly disappointed in the series. He said they weren't as good as what people made them out to be...but ya know, people have different tastes...so yeah, check them out before you buy them.
I liked Grandia 2's storyline better, and I felt the characters in that game were better developed...but 3's battle system is far more superior. To put it more simply, that battle system is TEH ultimate bomb! ^^

I love both Grandia games. I haven't gotten around to playing 3 yet but Grandia II is my favorite. I love the story and the battle system is great. The graphics were way neat and I loved the fact that it was on the Dreamcast, which is one of my favorite gaming platforms. Plus I thought Ryudo x Elena was the cutest thing, but I digress. XD
I'd highly recommend it.

The first Grandia is the only one I've played and I love it dearly, some of the characters are a bit annoying with their attitudes and personalities but most of them are lovable. I'm not really a fan of JustinxFeena but it was a nice relationship for the game, my favourite character has to either be Justin or Liete though.
Justin is the kind of lead character I always enjoy playing as, and Liete the watcher over Alent is just so elegant, I love watching her float in the air when she casts her spells.

You don't know how much I love Grandia. The first one was AMAZING. The music, the battle system, the story and the characters were great. I got addicted to it.
