I've been missing in action for quite a while, thanks to horrible internet connections that never work. I can't even get Yahoo's main page to load sometimes-- it's that bad. So as I was going nuts, I decided to start this challenge that I stumbled upon while hanging around a Sims 2 forum months ago.

Basic idea
You're mistakenly identified as being mentally insane and committed to an asylum. Your task is to achieve your sim's lifetime want to prove to the psychiatrists that you're NOT insane. However, everyone else in the asylum is VERY much insane, and it's your job to juggle taking care of them while trying to achieve whatever it is your sim desires (could be having 20 different lovers, reaching the top of your career etc.). You create eight sims and leave seven of them on auto mode, with you controlling your sole, sane sim.

However, as most Simmers would know, leaving sims on their own is... very bad. Because sims are very stupid. If you leave them alone, chances are they would starve/burn themselves to death within a day.

So you can see where the challenge lies: You're trying to maintain a job and a social life while trying to keep seven other stupid people from killing themselves.

So what is this thread doing here?
While we're always free to use our own original sims, I thought it could only be more fun to use FF characters instead. Hence the name of the asylum: Fantasy Asylum. I took a bunch of photos while playing, and decided to share the experience with everyone here (thankfully, I'd downloaded enough FF sims to play this without the Internet). This thread is in the Spam section since I'm anticipating lots of double-posting by me.

Trust me. While it may be amusing to watch a random sim cook and clean, it's doubly hilarious to watch sim!Sephiroth doing it.

Who is involved?
Cloud (duh!), Aerith (of course!), Tifa, Sephiroth, Squall, Seifer, Rinoa and Quistis.

All sims were downloaded from ModTheSims2. Cloud, Aerith, Sephiroth, Squall and Seifer were created by MimeWhite. Tifa was created by thunderbreak. Rinoa was based off the Tifa sim (ballroom dress created by Akito). Quistis was created by shannanagins.

I chose Quistis to be the sane one because... well, out of everyone, she seemed the most obvious choice. :P And because of love triangle reasons: C/A/T and S/R/S. Playing Quistis, as the observer in both LTs, means my own favouritism can't effect whatever happens between the rest of the sims (What, me? Taking this too seriously? Bah!).

The Inmates Family

Everyone gathering to take a picture. Rinoa (in the yellow dress) is playing with her hands behind Cloud, if you can't tell. Sephiroth doesn't hesitate to show he's in charge, and Quistis is way back-- the observer.


For a family with 90% dysfunctional characters, the photo turned out pretty nice! I squeed like a little fangirl seeing Cloud sitting beside Squall, and Aerith and Tifa standing together. I also liked that Cloud and Sephiroth were chosen to sit/squat, since they're always linked together. And Quistis is again way in the back, almost as if the game knows my intentions for her.

Next: Character Introductions

For those who don't play Sims 2, for each character created the player is required to select a personality type for them. There are six in total. Each personality type has different wants, fears and aspirations. The challenge requires the player to roll a dice to randomly decide which personality type each character gets (1 - Knowledge, 2 - Fortune etc.).

Another aspect of the challenge was to roll the dice to decide which Zodiac sign each character got. This, I changed a little. Since I'm dealing with FF characters with actual birthdates, I decided to pick the Zodiac sign that corresponds with their birthdate (and it'd be a chance to see how closely Squaresoft handled their personalities compared to The Sims 2's personality chart :D).

Yes, if you're wondering, I actually dug out my old booklets and looked them up. :P

Background
Saving/trying to destroy the world brings about many psychological repercussions. The stress undergone from pitching tents on monster-infested plains, travelling/fighting/sleeping/climbing snowy mountains in the same clothing, and being idolised by entire legions of fangirls and fanboys is enough to throw anyone into the nuthouse. These are only the ones who stepped forward. Many more hidden cases of crazy gaming characters exist in trhe shadows.

ALTERNATE REASON: A group of FF cosplayers in-characterly ran amok during a convention, and were thrown into a nuthouse to live out the rest of their lives of misplaced identities.

Of course, Quistis is sane.


The family moves in, immediately breaking off into different groups to socialise.


Seifer and Sephiroth. The two "villains" in the family already getting to know one another. Seifer assures Sephiroth he's not the least bit interested in Clouds and won't be moving in on the latter's yaoi territory.

Sephiroth rolled the Popularity personality. This type of sim loves to party and make tons of friends-- something the FFVII Sephiroth probably never even once thought of doing. I was already tempted to cheat with this guy and choose something more subdued, like Knowledge. Oh well, until Crisis Core comes out, we won't really know the REAL Sephiroth anyway. So let's pretend he's a party animal out of uniform.

Seifer rolled Romance. This is somewhat fitting, considering Seifer's quite the romantic in FFVIII in a creepy, obsessed kind of way. Although Romance sims, to put it very bluntly, are the sluts of Sims 2. They want to juggle as many lovers as possible, have as much sex (or 'Woo Hoo's, in sim lingo) as possible. This poses a bit of a problem in this challenge since the sims aren't allowed to leave the house (except for Quistis to go to work).

Tifa also rolled Popularity. You could almost see this in pre-Nibelheim burning!Tifa. We know she was a popular girl, anyway, so no comparisons here. Unfortunately, her sim had to forgo the fanny apron she wore in AC, since she strangled one of her customers with it after the fiasco with Kadaj (how do you think she got thrown into Fantasy Asylum?).

Rinoa rolled Knowledge. Knowledge sims loooooove to study. That's all I can say. I was pretty happy to get this, since Rinoa would be home all day and would have plenty of time to study to her heart's content. I thought it would be easy. I thought wrong. (Also, one might notice that Rinoa and Tifa look eerily alike-- that's because I slapped the yellow dress on a Tifa sim, changed the eyes and lips a bit and made myself a Rinoa. The Rinoa sim I'd downloaded didn't appeal to me that much.)

Quistis rolled Fortune. YES! Fortune sims are workaholics. They love working and they LOVE money. This is good since Quistis' lifetime want would be something like "Get to the top of ____ career" and not something disastrously impossible, like Romance's "Woo Hoo 20 different sims". I hate that. I hate Romance sims in general.


And just my luck, Aerith rolls Romance. :rolleyes: Years of "ZOMG AERTH IZ A H0R!!1!" arguments came back to haunt me. But I did promise myself not to chance personality types (since I'm already cheating with the Zodiac), so a Romance sim she'll be. I was hoping that, being a Romance sim, she'd take the initiative and bonk Cloud for me.

Cloud rolled Popularity. Seriously, what IS it with these Nibelheim people and popularity?! It fits Young Cloud, though, so I'm not complaining about that. Unfortunately, even Sims 2 decided that sim!Cloud would fail in that department just like FFVII!Young Cloud did, since I'd tinkered with his personality earlier to suit his FFVII character-- he's abominably shy, grouchy and serious. So to roll Popularity after that was almost cruel. :P

Squall rolled Knowledge....... Yeah, not much to say about that. Just like Cloud, I made him more serious and grouchy, so it's the perfect combination to hit the books with. It's not close to his FFVIII personality, but none of the sim personality types fits that since Squall HAS no personality! :P *dodges pitchforks* Kidding... Rly. If Sims 2 had a "Whatever" personality, though, you KNOW I'd cheat to get it without blinking an eye.

Ironically, both Cloud and Squall's official zodiac sign is Leo (you can see that SE actually put thought into Squall's Zodiac, what with Griever and all), yet Sims 2 makes Leos out to be incredibly friendly and outgoing. So they got the biggest makeovers, with all their "points" going into the one personality trait that required it-- Neatness.

Fantasy Asylum

And this is where everyone will be staying. Yes, that's a pool outside-- A pool is allowed, which I decided to stick outside since, even though everything's supposed to be contained indoors, an indoor pool sounds way more luxurious than a hole in the earth filled with water.

Sadly, it was a bloody huge mistake to put since nobody ever uses it, and nobody ever drowns in it either. Challenge rules don't allow deleting things from the house once the game's started, so it's just... there.


Ground floor, plan view. Because this is a rundown asylum, everything is limited-- there are eight sims, but only six chairs and five sleeping areas. This sets the scene for mass hysteria, stressing out and fainting.

You'll also notice that the shower, sink and tub are all placed in separate rooms. Since the asylum only has one of each, I made sure to separate them all so that three sims can bathe themselves at one go. If they were all in the same room, only one sim would be able to use the room while the other seven lined up outside wanting to pee/shower/wash dishes.

Sims get pissy when they can't piss (sorry, had to use that line >_<).

The games room has a piano, chess board, full-length mirror and bookcase. I chose the chess board over the telescope (both increase a sim's Logic) since playing chess with someone else also allows the sims to socialise at the same time. Multi-tasking is the name of the game (same with sinks, which you'll see why soon).

I have to admit, even for a rutty asylum, it still looks reasonably well-furnished. There are floorboards and everything. Now let's go one floor up...


First floor, where the holding cells bedrooms are. I made sure to get one double bed for our two Romance sims to have their fun in private (together, not together, only time will tell). The toilet is up here because I'd forgotten to put it downstairs. ^^;

As you can see, the upstairs is a bit more sparse (no wallpapers, just barren... steel). It's kinda like those cheating old folks homes/orphanages you see in stories. The downstairs looks beautiful and well-maintained, you sign your folks/kids in and BAM! The bedrooms are army barracks and the food is gruel.

:lol: Lovely character designs, aren't they? I worship the people who made them, honestly. Personally, I think the Cloud, Aerith and Sephiroth sims were exceptionally well-done.

I bought a gnome for decoration. All my sim houses have gnomes, and it seems like a cheap enough trinket that a rutty owner of a rutty asylum would buy in an attempt to make their asylum look homely.

Unfortunately, Sephiroth doesn't think much of the gnome. He kicked it on his first day here. :( Grouchy bastard.


Quistis, being the sane one, decides to finally go in and watch TV. She invites everyone to join her, creating this adorable little shot of everyone watching The Yummy Channel (a shot that I've never been able to recreate since).

Why The Yummy Channel? It's a cooking show, and anytime someone watches it, their Cooking skill goes up a little. This is invaluable not only so they don't have to eat TV dinners and drink beer for the rest of their lives, but also to reduce fires. Having watched SINGLE sims setting their kitchens ablaze before, leaving this group of seven near a stove without a single cooking point would be disastrous.


Well... Almost everyone is watching. Sephiroth, trying to stand out, decides to try out the pool instead.

Did I forget to warn for briefs? Eep!

I chose those default briefs for him since I don't download nearly as much custom clothing for the guys as I should the reddish sides reminded me of the Nibelheim flames. :lol:

This also marks one of the only times the sims use the pool of their own accord.


In the meantime, a local has dropped by for a visit. It goes to show the sad state of the world when sane locals have even worse manners than asylum residents do. Nobody's happy looking at his butt instead of the TV.

Quistis is already searching the papers for a job to get her out of here.

Man, I wish I could show off my FF sim house but sadly its on my brother's computer and he recently took off the internet. What's great about it is that all the usual couples got together on their own accord!

I almost died seeing Sephiroth in those shorts! XD All your screenshots were awesome! (some how, those character group shots made me think "reality show") Keep updating please! I wish to know of all their adventures! Once I can force my older brother to put the internet back on his, I'll show you mine!

My house has Cloud, Aerith, Squall, Rinoa, Tidus, Yuna, Vaan, and Ashe. I made some of the models myself when I had spare time so if you want them, just ask and I'll threaten my brother into rehooking his internet! ^^

Okay, now THAT is awesome. How did that happen? Did you have any expansion packs installed? My sims are pretty boring in that they'll usually end up just being "best friends" with people unless I interfere and force them to flirt a little. Did you have to do that?

I'd love to see your self-made sims! I can't make sims worth crap, so I'm always downloading off everyone else. ^^ I'd especially love to see your Tidus, Yuna, Vaan and Ashe. My own Tidus and Yuna could use some improvements, and I haven't seen sims of Vaan and Ashe around.

I was very tempted to do that in this challenge, but there will be other times and other homes for Cleris. :giggle:

Besides, I couldn't bring myself to choose between Cleris and Lloud-- it was too painful! So I decided to let Cloud decide on his own.

They did it all by them selves!! I was in utter shock when I saw Squall and Rinoa do Woo Hoo with out me makin' 'em! My brother will be home at six so I'll pester him into rehooking his internet to show off my models and stuff. I have to say, my Vaan and Ashe have to be my favorites. You can always find them either walkin' around half-naked, making out on the couch, picking fights with neighbors, or throwing parties at 2am when everyone else is trying to sleep. Truly, they are an endless source of amusement. Especially when Ashe got in a cat fight with Maria down the block. (Yes, I have a Silent Hill house too. lol) Too bad Sephiroth isn't strutting his stuff in those shorts any more! I want some more Sephiroth sex-ay-ness! lol Cloud is rather bizarre in his relationships. Cloud loves Aerith, hates Rinoa, is bffs with Vaan, hardly knows Ashe, friends w/ Squall, doesn't know Tidus, and is friends w/ Yuna. Some times I think he is avoiding Ashe and Tidus on purpous! Is he like that with you?

Geez, Sephy sure is a curious little bugger, ain't he? While everyone's still watching the TV, he's already trying his hand at the piano. It's hard to see it from here, but the sims play the piano VERY slowly when they first try it out. When they start getting better, they play faster and flashier.

Sephiroth's still at beginner level, so his playing is little more than loud noise. Something Cloud doesn't hesitate to show his displeasure about:


Quistis, in the meantime, is practicing her public speaking skills in front of the mirror. She's gotten a job in the Business career, something I'd been aiming for because it brings in LOTS of cash-- and Fortune sims are called so for a reason. It was with this in mind that I tinkered her personality to be nicer and more outgoing, to enable her to interact better with the locals.

In fact, most of the girls got nice, outgoing personalities (true to their original game personalities, since they're hardly the social ice blocks the guys are). Unfortunately, adding to one aspect of the personality also means taking points/giving up something else-- in the girls' cases, it was neatness. I took lots of points out of neatness from Quistis, Aerith and Rinoa and put them all into making them outgoing, nice sims.


Hence why Rinoa burps right here. A sloppy sim, all right. What a way to behave in front of a guest! (But the guy's one helluva ugly sim anyway, so there's little chance of Rinoa ever getting together with him, so it's no harm done. [/shallow])

So you're wondering, what about the guys? Well, since most of them ended up being grumpy, serious, grouchy douchebags, I had to take out a lot of points from those sections and dump them in somewhere else. Where? Neatness:


Squall's the resident neatfreak. I believe he's the grouchiest of them all, so I had to fill up his neatness bar to the maximum to use all the points. What does that result in?

I really wish I could download these sims!!! I go to the modthesims2.com all the time and all of the Final Fantasy sims are all rar files. Which means I need the Q-X Press Install thingy. And yes, I've tried installing it, but nothings worked. The only FF sims I have are Aerith, Tifa (FFVII version, not AC), Lenne, and Shuyin. I tried downloading Cloud the other day *for Aerith's benefit ;)* and it says I can't because I need that Q-X Press Installer... :cry: But you've inspired me to try and install it again!

Lynn, it is brilliant! My attempt to make something like this still continues and the heroes are almost the same. I made Lenne being the sane one.

Wow... I have the Sims 2 but I never tried anything like this! This is so amazing Lynn, I can't believe you're doing this! Yeah. that guest is ugly. I've noticed that the random Sims are... random. I mean, I don't think it's possible in real life to be that ugly! Bleurgh!

I've downloaded some Final Fantasy Sims recent;y, it's annoying cuz you have to get all the mesh and colour mixes and stuff. It ends up being one big mess. I do actually have a rabbit head though, in the hairstyle section, like the ones on the TV, where they hug everyone.

I always make my Sims watch the Yummy Channel. They have fun, but they're actually building up some sort of skill at the same time. Plus, the Piano is fun, as long as your Sim isn't crying for fun. Then they don't really get in the mood. Don't you just hate it when they whine for soemthing, like hunger, or food, or when they're tired? It gets on my nerves so bad. Especially when they teenage girls whine. They look like they have constipation.

I once made the Strife family, which consisted of Cloud and Aerith. I made them married, and moved them into this tiny cabin in Pleasantville, and they were all over eachother. :wub: It was wonderful. I didn't keep it like that for very long though, I usually reinstall the program every so often so I can start all the neighbourhood stories again.

Oh yeah, the WooHoo/Romance Sims are so bad. I've played with Don Lothario, and seriously, he couldn't get enough of WooHoo-ism! Eventually, it was WooHoo's with 10 different Sims! Agh!! It was crazy! I mean, he's a friggin doctor, he should know the dangers!

I'm sorry, but I have to quote that. :lmao: That is perfect. :lmao: To be honest, if Cloud wanted to be popular, and Aerith wanted to be a WooHoo-er, then it's not very reliable. I always thought Aerith would go for knowledge, or even better, a family. So would Tifa, she'd definitely go for family. Cloud... I think he would go for... fortune? He's was always interested when Barret was gonna pay him at the beginning of the game. Plus, he was a mercenary.

Once I had a sim with Romance interest. Well, she was my first one in Sims2. I made her fall in love with 15 other sims (and make some WooHoo with them of course :whistle: ). But then she wanted 20 sims. I was really shocked. Still guessing what is their limit...

Oh my God, you have no idea how much fun I have making FF Sim worlds. :3 Lynn, yours is just plain ingenious. Sephiroth at the piano in a speedo? Dear lord, my poor, unscathed virgin eyes! :lol: And yes, romantic Sims are a pain in the ass. Can you imagine what I have to deal with raising HornyTeenager!Zack at this point? Seriously, he's dying to get with Aerith, who's just your average florist employee looking for a family. Silly Zack. I'm just going to end up pairing him with Tifa anyway, so I don't see why he's getting so excited about the quick Zeris fling I'm planning. :P

And once Cloud becomes a teenager (which will be soon, but being such a grouchy little loner of a kid, it's a little boring raising him), I'm totally taking your advice and making him a failure of a popularity Sim. Poor kid. I keep coming up with new ways to make him an angsty wanker in the future. :angel:

But yes, with a little help from SimPE, I'm doing quite well with Zack. He's got... hmm... *counts* a whopping SEVENTEEN girls who are crazy about him, not counting Aerith, who kind of finds him grody at this point. :lol: I'm three lovers away from fulfilling his lifetime want of having twenty, so yeah, I'd say I'm doing all right. Except Meadow Thayer is stalking him because she caught him on a date with Tosha Go. She keeps knocking over the garbage can and circling the house and making all these creepy noises. Psycho. :rolleyes:

Haha, that's fantastic, Lynn! I'm sending my brother to pick up the Sims 2 for Mac tomorrow, since the postman tried delivering it while I was spark out, having only got to sleep at 6.30 am. <_< I'm definitely going to try this! I might have to crossover FF with some other fandoms though - I've seen some awesome Furuba Sohma boys skins at ModTheSims that're begging to be used.

Lynn, I LOVE this so far!! I used to spend hours pouring my weekends into the lives of my Sims. I had all the expansion packs. Then the Sims 2 came out, and my dad wouldn't buy it for me (*cries*), so my interest in the Sims kind of died. I still don't have the Sims 2, but this is some funny stuff. I hope maybe Cloud and Aerith will get together, even if it's just for a one night WooHoo. And you can always expect Sephiroth to be the party pooper... kicking over the gnome. :angry:

I tried to do something similar to this, only I used all the *cough*canon*cough* couples of FF. Imagine a sim house full of CxA, SxR, ZxG, and TxY luvin'. :wub: And yes... there was lots of woohoo in the house... All they did was eat, sleep, watch tv, go potty, or woohoo. Why? I dunno... they were horny little buggers. Course, I'm a little Sims 2 cheat whore, so money was never a worry, thus, they were all umemployed rich bums.

I loved them anyways.

But, the overload of sims in one household crashed my game and I lost all my save files. :sad: Including my lovely Cleris family(in another neighborhood). OMG! Cloud and Aeris had three daughters(two were twins)! All the spitting image of their gorgeous mommy. All lost... lost... and I'm far too lazy to remake them all over again... (plus I'm busy will my fantasy Sim!Kotor world anyways. :P Exile and Atton shall have their second baby soon, w00T!)

And yes... the only reason I'm hooking her up with this sim(other than this sim happens to be a real hottie! >xD) is because my inner Barret fangirl squeed after finding about his last name was Barrett.

And I agree about the Sohma boys. :drool: It's been a LONG while since I went back to MTS2, so when I finally did, there were all these new gorgeous sims to download that I'm dreaming planning to create my very own RPG/anime neighbourhood one day.

I've always used hacks to spice up my gameplay, but I might start using SimPE one of these days. 20 Woo Hoos/Lovers is just impossible for me-- I have a tough enough time just maintaining relationships for my sims at friendship level! Honestly, I have no idea how some people can have their sims MARRIED within five sim days without cheating. @_@

failure!Cloud is just too fitting, ain't it? I love it! Of course, I'll probably have it happen at the hands of original sim characters. I just don't have the heart to make Tifa mean to him and have him hate her until adulthood. XD

Ugh, yeah, some of the townies are just... Ick. That makes it doubly hard to do the Legacy challenge, since I am totally shallow and want my descendants to look all pretteh. But some of the sims are just terrible! Especially the guys-- I can think of a number of beautiful females, but so many of the men just make me cringe.

The mesh things really threw me off when I first started downloading. I think what's really annoying are creators who make a character, but don't supply a name or the link to the necessary mesh. They just write "you'll need the mesh", but my dear, there are tons of meshes out there! Which am I supposed to pick?!

I think the whining is funny to watch. :lol: But it DOES get annoying when they whine, say, about food when there's a frigging fully-stocked fridge RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. I've already called the delivery, brought in the goods, PAID for the goods... Now go make your own food!

As for aspirations, I think Tifa is definitely a Family. I'm feeling Knowledge for Aerith too. She's probably great with kids, but I think she'll love travelling the world and learning about it more.

As for my Sephy sim, check out RE's post. There's a link to the creator, MimeWhite. I believe she made two Sephy sims, but I like her second version much better. The first version was based on REALLY early pics of AC!Sephiroth looking all gothy, and it just translated into making him look old on Sims 2.

You don't need that. I download all my files usingh FlashGet (to resume broken downloads), then open the RAR files using regular ol' WinRAR.

The last we left, Squall was busy throwing out the trash and displaying neatfreak tendencies. He has since joined Aerith for a snack -- cue all thoughts of "This totally happened in Kingdom Hearts" now.

As you can imagine, having seven other sims and a bunch of guests over makes it a tad hard to keep an eye on where everyone is. Quistis wonders where Tifa's gone to. Where HAS Tifa gone to?

And why's there a long line outside the bathroom?

Cloud and Aerith, FINALLY! *cues squeeing* They're liking each other already, and my Cleris hopes have been raised. This was a particular relief because when they first met, right outside the house, Aerith had tried to tickle him and el groucho Cloud reacted badly. :(

Quistis: So, Cloud, I see you've made a new friend. That's wonderful! What do you think of her?
Cloud: She's very... pink. But a sweet girl, really. Sure, I wanted to bite her head off when she tried to tickle me outside, but that's all behind us now. We had a great talk about heroes jumping through windows over spaghetti, and how none of them ever get cut from all that flying glass. I'm starting to see Aerith for the kind, loving, wonderful girl that she really is.


Aerith: Get the $!@# outta my toilet, ya old biyatch! I gotta pee!


No longer hungry or bladder-troubled, it's Aerith turn with the piano. Everyone loves the piano. The piano gets more action than everybody combined.

Cloud has since left the room, and you can see Quistis' legs in the background as she checks out the bookcase.


All that playing around in the bathtub can get rather tiring. Tifa makes a smart move by quickly booking the couch for a nap. Sleeping space is a shortage here, so it's first come first serve.

With Aerith and Tifa both alone, we're all left wondering: Where the hell is Cloud?

Actually, I can make it much faster than five sim days. About two or three if they live together or three-four if not. Maybe that's because my sims work rarely :P I just don't know, I'm not cheating. I make them interract and that's all.

This "family" is so old that I barely remember their story :lol: I have some funny screenies but can't combine them into one reasonable story like yours.

Yeah, thanks! I've already downloaded that version. My poor previous Sephy looks so ... zombie-like. He has very pale skin and frowns too much. Imagine how hard it was for me to actually make him smile. :D

The bathrub, as it turned out, is quickly becoming as much an attention-grabber as the piano (and Sephiroth in speedos). It's actually rather cute to watch, since the sims make piratey "Arr!" sounds while playing.

Rinoa quickly takes after her good friend, Tifa and tried her hand at playing pirate.


We can see why these two get along (besides being literal clones of one another).

In the meantime, SOMEONE is hogging the upstairs toilet. I forgot to check who, but it was probably someone annoying like that old lady Aerith chased out earlier. And with only one toilet around, and eleven people in the house, accidents were only waiting to happen.


And it did.

Poor Cloud. I actually feel extremely sorry for him, and for all future sims who pee their pants. When they do that, the sims look up at you in this pitiful, miserable, puppy-dog manner that makes you feel 1) absolutely sorry for them; 2) absolutely sorry that you couldn't install another toilet; and 3) like a turd for taking pictures and laughing at them.

Or you could point, laugh and make fun of the male sim for not taking a pee in the bushes outside.

But I took a picture anyway, since it IS the first pee in the house. It has to be remembered!


Luckily, Cloud's hero is right on-hand to comfort him. Can you BLAME Cloud for looking up to Sephiroth now?

I'll certainly do my best! I'm sure there's some requirement for that... Like having to be extraordinarily good buddies or something. But if it goes well, I might even record it too. *is a dork*

As for my screenies, I did consider writing out a story from the beginning, so that's why it's ended up the way it did. I have hundreds of screenshots I took of the family. :lol:

As Sephiroth tries to cheer Cloud up even further with a game of Red Hands, I'm imagining Rinoa's thoughts right now: "Dude, NASTY."

One wonders how she knows that puddle is Cloud's, but that could be because the doofus is standing right in it.

I soon realised that whenever sims accidentally soil themselves upstairs, they come down extremely depressed and it's Quistis' job to cheer them up (not everyone has a Sephiroth to catch them when they stumble). I made the link after going upstairs and finding mysterious puddles of water around the place, and Sims 2 doesn't have leaky roofs...


In an effort to cheer himself up, Cloud takes out the trash. I'll admit that I took this picture mostly because the idea of Cloud Strife doing something as menial as taking out trash makes me laugh.

But then everybody started doing it too, and I soon realised it's nothing new-- when my sims are bored, they take out the trash. It's therapeutic. "Imagine the trash bag as all your worries and problems and insecurities... now THROW IT OUT!"

Okay, maybe THIS is why he's depressed.

Seriously, though (or as serious as one can get with this family)-- When did Aerith get so friendly with Squall that she'd share a bed with him? On the FIRST night, too! I thought it was simply the liberal attitude of Romance sims, but Seifer is Romance and he made an "ew!" face whenever I made him sleep with someone he's not close to.

So chalk this up as another "this totally happened in Kingdom Hearts!" moment. I can just imagine a fanfic about it now:

Aerith: Leon, do you remember the good old days, back when we were all kids? I used to have to sleep with you all the time. You were so scared of the dark! *giggles*

Okay, "Awww!" moment cut short. I didn't realise sims could wake each up. Quistis certainly couldn't wake up people when she desperately needed to rest (and she's the only one who's actually holding a job and keeping this asylum from dying out, too).

But here we have Sephiroth exercising his authority and taking Cloud's Woodstock bed. I guess all that comforting earlier had its price.

And Rinoa is just following... because... she can't remove the knowledge of Cloud peeing himself from her mind? :lol:

Also, take a close, and I mean CLOSE, look at Cloud and Sephiroth's pajamas and tell me if you can see what the pattern is. :P


Seifer's turn at the bathtub. I promise, this will be my last batch of pirate-playing for a while! It's just that it's SEIFER in his UINDERWEAR... The opportunity was too good to pass up.

On a sidenote, I'd actually given Seifer a Snoopy shirt and pants to sleep in, but the lazy bum NEVER changes into that to sleep. Not ONCE. That is such a WASTE and I should have totally given it to Squall. Seifer vastly prefers sleeping in his undies (which seems like something he'd do in FFVIII), and I'm thanking God I didn't give him briefs or half of my screenshots of him would've made me blind.

I've had the playing pirate thing happen. XD I love that. I decided to check out my house again after arguing with my brother about him getting his internet rehooked. His response? "I'll rehook it when I get FF11 tonight." And I tell him he can use my copy for the PS2 (IT HAS ALL THE DANG EXPANSIONS!!) And he says "no". Ugh...well, thank you for cheering me up with seifer in his undies playing in the bath tub. I felt a lot better after that! lol XD My highlights include...

- Aeris makes friends with James Sunderland from down the block (yay!)
- Squall got jealous when Gary (my bro's sim) asked Rinoa to dance
- Cloud passed out on Vaan's floor and Vaan hardly noticed
- We had a bathroom back up when an Ashe v. Maria stand off started up in there
- Cloud and Aeris may be moving out soon to their own house soon to start a family ;_;
- Vaan is not nice to children
- Lil Laura comes by and is appaulled by their poor house keeping
- Squall, feeling hurt in the least, hires a maid

Let's see, what's the most exciting thing that has happened recently in my game?... Well, while Aerith was a kid a few days ago (she's barely a teenager and Zack's already totally into her :P ), a little... erm... unplanned situation occurred while she was watering her lovely flowers in the middle of the night. And it worked SO incredibly perfectly with my FF7-accurate world I've got going on. Remember Elmyra's little remenisce of Aerith's childhood and her memory of Aerith telling her that "someone [Elmyra] loves has just died"? Well, uh...



AERITH SEES DEAD PEOPLE! I was seriously just minding my own business, playing as Elmyra, when I hear Aerith screaming her poor little lungs out outside. I zoom my oh-so-handy-dandy Sims 2 camera over there, and she's panicking over seeing Elmyra's husband's ghost! And I took a picture! :lol:



Moments later, Aerith runs inside and has a nice chat with Elmyra about the paranormal, which was so spookily like the "someone you love has just died" conversation, I totally took another picture. W00t for my canon Sims game. :woot:

I really don't know. They would just... do it sometimes. I remember this one time I was playing with the Squall and Rinoa sims, desperately trying to get them to make babies. After not hearing the little tune that plays that indicates the sim is preggers, I left them alone to play with the Tidus and Yuna. To my surprise, they had hopped in the little love heart jacuzzi and started... woohooing... I guess. I turn back to the Squall and Rinoa sims and sure enough... they started woohooing. 0_0; Then I play with the Cloud and Aerith sim, cause they were the couple who seemed a little less horney than the others... thanksfully, they were where I left them... watching tv.

It didn't have anything to do with the NightLife EP, since I didn't have it back then. Maybe it's a mod or something. I used download lots of them just for the hell of it. Maybe a 'free will woohoo' was one of them. *shrugs* I forget... and don't ask why I would download a free will woohoo mod. >.>;

After viewing the antics your sims do, I feel like redownloading the Aerith and Cloud sims just to make another sim family again. *sad* I miss those little twins... they were like two crazy Aerithes running around.

You got the NightLife EP now!!! You're gonna have tons of fun with all the new goodies they have. I tend to play around with the 'scope room' option, myself. If you need any tips on how to achieve a 'dream date', just ask me! I have mastered getting dream dates with other sims. :devil: And, I love that slow dance options. It's soooooooo freakin' adorable. :wub:
