I'm not sure whether there's already a thread on this but I was tired of checking the previous entries, so I thought I'd get this one going.

So how about it? I can't be the only one in love with this series!! For those who don't know about it, it's a popular manga series that was published in Shounen Jump, but is so different than any other manga in the magazine. Find out more by going here.

To the veterans, you probably already know that there's a movie coming out in June. This is the newest trailer. Doesn't Ryuk look awesome!! Plus, this is the subbed version of the first trailer. It looks AWESOME.

What do you guys think of the characters and the actors playing them? I also heard that they're changing the movie from the manga. Like (spoilers): L won't die. Pretty damn major if you ask me. But L's my favourite character so I'd love to see more of him!!

I haven't finished the manga yet... I think i'm at ch60 or so...

In my opinion, I think they should have gone for an anime before a movie... An anime would have been much more interesting imo...

As for the movie... I'll watch it to see how it goes... I think they did a good job choosing all of the characters except Light... He doesn't look like he did int eh manga at all... They could have done way better with that. Now L looks really good though...

And I just hope they don't change too much of it... And *Spoilers* perhaps L doesn't die because they don't go up to that part of the manga... But if they actually catch Kira... That'll be the end of it... I'll forget I've ever watched the movie. =P

Maybe they'll make an anime after the movie's a somewhat hit. Kinda like what they did with Nana.

They probably don't kill off L because it would have to include a whole new ark in order to 'complete' it

also, I hope Kira wins in the end this time. :) Though since L doesn't die in the movie (supposebly), it would be against L he lost rahter than Near (who I've never really liked), I didn't like L any more. Kira forever!
