This is probably already on here somewhere but I couldn't find it, so sorry for making another topic on this but I was talking with somebody about the scene when the wolf appears in Aerith's church after Cloud passes out with geostigma and Tifa is passed out next to him, he says the wolf appears because he felt guilty about not being there when Tifa got hurt and when Marlene got kidnapped and I said that I thought Nomoru said in an interview something about the wolf representing the guilt Cloud felt for not being able to save the loved ones he lost, so if anyone knows about this interview and has it please post scans of it or where I can find it and if I am wrong please let me know
It's not actually a magazine interview, it's in the AC Director's Commentary. The director's commentary isn't on the English version of AC as far as I'm aware, it's one of the extras in Advent Pieces, the limited edition boxset of AC only available in Japan.
Wilhelm posted this about it:

The Advent Pieces main DVD has a staff comemtary that talked about it.
I don't really know all of it yet. The wolf is Cloud feeling guilty over not being able to do something about Zack and Aerith's deaths (since if you look at where it appears, it's all places associated with them and his failing to help). After it's all cleared up in the end, the wolf/his guilt disappears. |
That's from
this thread in the AC Spoilers Forum. Since there are a few threads in the Spoilers forum discussing the wolf, I'll close this.
