Ok, if you are gonna have any kids anytime in your life, how many would you want?

For me, i want 6. Yes, 6. I want a good number of kids, more than the average woman has. I come from an extremely large family, so i guess it just runs in my blood to want more than average amount of kids.

I want at least 4 girls and 2 boys. But, whatever i get, i'll be happy with.

Kids are a big part of my life. I'm never going to live without having a baby or child to hold on to.
They give me so much joy at times. But, they can also cause mass chaos.... but, i think its all worth it in the end. :P

Yes, its a little early to think about kids, but thats alright. I might change my mind about kids completely in the future.

YES. I've been baby hungry since I was 16, but this last mother's day has left me wanting to start a family even MORE*Is 20* >.< *And unmarried* DX

Anyways, I come from a family of 9 so I've always wanted alot of kids. I think 7 would be a really good amount, but I could dig 6 too ^_^ Those families of only 3 kids always throw me for a loop, I don't know how they can stand to be so small!

(23 to be exact....):D Yep, i've been an aunt since i was 2. Funny thing is, no one calls me "aunt". They all talk to me by my first name.

As for me...whoa...too far off to even consider. But I think ideally I would like 2 children...a boy and a girl. ^_^ The boy should be older so he can look after his little sister and they'll balance each other out well in masculinity and feminity.

I'd probably go for a small family too. It's only ever been me and my brother, and even though I do have a ton of cousins, I've never been especially close to them. So being used to a small family, I think I'll probably end up with a small family too. Two or three sound about just right.

A more pragmatic reason would be that raising kids are EXPENSIVE. D: Seriously, I think about all the money my parents have put in me and my brother (and it's not like we've been going to expensive private schools or anything), and how such costs can only rise with every passing day-- it's freaking scary. I'm lucky as it is to have gotten the scholarships that I have to fund my tertiary education, because I don't think we would've been able to manage it on my parents' income alone.

Of course, some part of me thinks I'll never have kids, because I feel I'm terribly boring with them. :sweat: My brother is the fun ones who entertains our little cousins when they come over, and I'm the one who worries they'll fall off the couch/break their jaw on a table and prepares their drinks, food etc. :P

heehee...i'm not planning to be wed with my boyfriend right now, but i think i would only like three. eldest-girl middie-girl youngest-boy. I like that way, since that's my family pattern, i'm in the middie, so, i'm the pacifier for the two of them. :D
seven kids are hard, you need to have lots of money and efforts to make yourself happy and content though, plus i think my time would be hectic if i have that kind of bunch, so three is okay...i hope he asks me to marry me... :wub:

Don't worry! I'm gonna get married when i'm able! I can assure you that. I just want to right now!! :fist: I just recently went to a wedding, and that makes me wanna get married that much more!

I want a set of twins, one boy and one girl. Since twins run in my family, I have a better chance! :lol: But on the off chance that I don't get a set of twins, I want one boy and one girl. Doesn't really matter which ones older, as long as they are both healthy.

I say 2 or more, but 5 is the maximum. Why? I want my kids to have siblings and a good relationship. (Well, my own is kinda sarcastic/annoyed/wanting-to-kill-but-still-care kind.)

I'm not really sure whether I even want kids, myself. I have a niece, and she's adorable, and I do feel maternal when I'm around her, but at the end of the day I can always hand her over to my brother when she's grouchy or wet or hungry. I'm not sure whether I'd be able to handle taking care of a baby full time. I like my sleep, (and my freedom) too much.

Same here I have a sister and a baby cousin both the same age and I babysit all the time i'm not mean to them or anything I love them to death but it's very hard to take care of children so I don't want any :) ....hooray for FREEDOM ne? :D

I'd love a daughter, and I'll name her Lana, after my sister. ^_^ I'll love her with everything I've got, and I'll make sure nothing bad will ever happen to her.

As for me, I'd like to have at least 2 or 3 little ones of my own. The max would be 4, maybe. To be very honest, I've always wanted mixed children. :blush: I wouldn't mind procreating within my race, though. It's just I think mixed babies are so very cute. And the idea of having a children with so many cultural backgrounds within themselves is really interesting.

I enjoy kids, but the lifestyle I'll be living once I graduate is probably not condusive to raising kids properly. I'd worry about being a bad mother too much. Ideally, a little girl would be wonderful--a boy would be okay too, but I have a soft spot for little girls. ^_^

Generally I'd rather just take care of other people's kids anyway. ^_~

yayayayayay for children!...i just really hope that whoever i marry will like those names too...my last girlfriend...but i dont know if im gonna date her again(see my topic called "confusing...") or if ill find someone else, but those are the names i want to name my kids ^-^

I love kids. I have a son, he's 12, will be 13 in November, and possibly become a member here, I hope. I do want more kids but I kinda want to pass up the whole "baby" phase. So i'm happy my g/f has two wonderful and intelligent daughters. And if things go right I will have 3 kids to claim :)

I would absolutely love to have kids one day, I think I'd have only a few though, 2-4ish probably. I have a niece and nephew, with one more niece on the way, and it's great spending time with them. But before that, I want to be financially ready, owning a house first is one of my goals. I feel the more prepared I am, the easier it will be on them.

I got a quick question for ya if you dont mind.

I never really wanted kids all that much until my nephew was born. After spending time with him I really grew to the point I wanted a kid of my own. Now for my quesiton. Is that how it was for you too? I ask cause alot of people I know felt the same as I did until a child came into thier life in one way or another. Sorry if i'm diggin to deep or asking anything too personal. I'm just courious. :)

Oh, it's fine! I think I've actually always figured I'd have kids. My mom even insists one day I told her I decided not to marry my neighbor because he didn't want kids, and we were like 4 years old! :lol: I used to help take care of my brother and would baby-sit, so that added to it. I do think that having a niece and nephew is what really made me seriously think about it again though. I had a lot of friends have babies way too young and were unhappy, but playing with my niece and hearing her calling for me and hugging me reminded me why I wanted them.

Right on, and thank you for indulging my curiosity. I like what you said on how it reminded why you wanted kids in the first place. It's amazing how a kid and fill you with so much joy an hope isn't it.

Kids.... this is a subject that is never far away from me since I am at that time in my life where having a child would make sense. There are parts of me that cannot wait to have children, yet I love my job and not having the responsibility of a child. My husband and I like to go to all the hockey games during the season and that is just one of many things that would change once a child comes into the picture. I would like to wait till our debt goes down a little bit and we have more of an opportunity to buy a house....sorry like you all wanted to know this.

Anyhow to answer the question I would like two kids a boy, then a girl but of course as long as they are healthy that is what is important. If I end up having two of the same sex then I wouldn't mind having a third but that is where I stop. I try to kep all of it in perspective since htere is so much you don't know about until you become a parent. The idea of a life being completely dependent on me is amazing yet extremely terrifying. I just pray when the time comes I can do even half the job my mom did raising me.

I don't know but I think I would one (no more) because I want work, and I think combine work with your family life is very difficult. But I don't know, I can change my mind... :P

I've always wanted just one kid, but I wouldn't mind having more, three being the most. A boy is probably the kid for me, I think girls would be a little harder to handle and bring up but then again I've always like boys better, maybe because I am male :lol: But before I even consider adopting one, I would have to have a long term partner, a good job and a house under my head, I would also probably want to own the house to.

So its just getting my life sorted out before I would think about kids.

Kids? Two..end of story.
