Sorry, I dont view it as proof, because it doesn't really matter who the VA's prefer. For example, Cloud's VA and Seph's VA both star in Kyou Kara Maou. Cloud's VA is the main central character, and Seph's VA is the character who protects the main character no matter what. This wouldn't make it cannon for Cloud and Seph being together because their VAs voiced projects together more than one time.

While it's cool to think about, I wouldn't call it proof. Also, in the Reunion Files, Cloud's VA also said that he was a "Tifa man" so in that same light, the CloTi's could also say that that is CloTi proof, when it really isn't.

I could be totally wrong here, but I thought the quote that Lee-Lee presented was worth squeeing over because it was referring to the character voice by Maaya Sakamoto (namely, Aerith) as being the love interest of Takahiro Sakurai's character (namely, Cloud). That's what I thought at least.

I'm not saying that it's not worth squeeing over. I'm just saying, it's not PROOF that Cloud loves Aerith...it's not Cleris PROOF. That would be the same as saying if Takahiro Sakurai did another anime with Ayumi Ito, that it would be CloTi proof, and it's not.

Maybe I'm turning away from Cleris, but I didn't squee over it, it's cute to know about, but it's nothing I would fangirl over.

I believe Amathala's post was more in response to Artec's reaction that this was Cleris 'proof' (although I have a feeling Artec used that word very loosely in this case :P). In the case of the seiyuu working together, I would agree that it doesn't constitute as proof of a pairing's canonity.

I'm not sure if Lee-Lee was highlighting this particular part, but what really caught my eye was the "love interest" part. ^_^ Am I seeing things, or did someone else (other than EGM's "famous lovebirds" quote) just call Aerith Cloud's love interest? Where did you get this blurb, Lee-Lee?

Haha, as much as I thought that was cute of Cloud's VA, I was annoyed on how he was also promoting the (rivalry-ness) comparison between Tifa and Aerith as he said that he and his friend were debating on who was the "better character" - ESPECIALLY considering the fans' rather sensitive reactions to whatever's said about "Tifa VS. Aerith". Other than that, what Cloud's VA prefers is strictly to himself. It's like when I heard that the music director(?) Nobuo Uematsu's favorite was Aerith. Squeeful to know, yesh, but it's only opinion - not proof. After all, it's not like Takahiro owns Cloud (like a puppet?) or anything. From all that I know, Takahiro's personality seems to be VERY distant from Cloud's:

I don't think I will get too excited until I know where that came from, but I think the thing she was trying to point out was the fact that they said Maaya plays the voice of a LOVE INTEREST at one point in time for both of the voice actors.

It's on Wikipedia :sweat:, in all three of Maaya Sakamoto, Takahiro Sakurai and Kenichi Suzumura's profiles.

oh. Lee Lee, i'll give you an advice. Don't trust Wikipedia. Some are fanmade or just edited by a net surfer...so, some of it isn't true...so...maybe that's also fan made... :unsure: Wikipedia's not a great resource, it has false phrases like some in Cloud's profile, "Tifa is his girlfriend" or something like that...idk, it must have been edited by now...

Yes yes...thank you for understanding what I meant. I didnt mean to sound all harsh or anything about it, I just dont get all squeeful over things like that, and I certainly wouldn't take them as proofz, because I wouldn't want it thrown back in my face by the rivalry.
