I just started watching today, and already am addicted! Haha, I've just watched the first two episodes. I know it's bizarre, but I happen to adore Tamaki!!! :lmao: He reminds me of Sanji from One Piece, with a healthy overdose of crack!

My goodness, this anime is so many levels of ...... of.... fanservice! :lmao: But it's so endearing, you can't help but love it. Am delighted that maaya sakamoto is voicing Haruhi! Doesn't she do such a fantastic job!? :fangirl:

My. GOD. This show is like... like... fanservice central! I can't count how many times I squeed and swooned just watching it, and then afterwards! And I adore Tamaki too - though I don't know who Sanji is! :lol:

But I absolutely love the Twins! Eeeee! The twincest act they put up was actually pretty shocking for me at first ('cause I don't like yaoi! XD) but I found it hilarious and uh... cute afterwards! :fangirl:

I love Ouran Host Club.<3 Maaya-chin as Haruhi... LUFF. When she does her crazy rabu-rabu Haru-chan/femme voice it cracks me up. XD~~

But I still prefer Haruhi as a boy! It's nice to have a character who doesn't give two shits about gender differences. She just sorta goes with the flow and that's one of the reasons I find her character so wonderful.

::gets up:: Maaya's voice is really... versatile then! She can do Aerith's light voice while also doing Haruhi's rather deep voice. I always wondered who Haruhi's voice was...

Oh! I heard somewhere that Tamaki's seiyuu is the same one who did Kiba from Wolf's Rain. Is that true?

I agree! She also balances things out compared to all the craziness of the guys! She's so casual, shy, and rather awkward... the total opposite of Tamaki!

I first learned of the manga, but I love both the anime and manga equally--although I think Renge's constant appearances are kinda odd. ^^;;

I find Renge's appearances are cute! When I first saw the motor, I was pretty surprised... o_O It was kind of random, but then again - I think alligators in a spa is kind of random too.

I totally squeed my head off in the latest anime episode during that thunderstorm moment with Haruhi.

She returns later--much later. XD;;

And Tamaki's my favorite host, by far, especially as his character gets more developed later. I like it that he isn't dorky 24-7 and that he really does understand the others in the club, even if he doesn't always show it. ^_^

And I think I found it weird, since I read the manga before. XD;;

I do wish they wouldn't cut out Nekozowa so much, either. For those who don't know, he's the Black Magic Club President who actually owns the beach in the manga (not Kyoya). He gets development later in the manga as well and I'm fond of him in a strange way. XD;;

Everyone loves Tamaki! Of all his weird moments, one of the most memorable to me is the one where he draws a line between him and all the other characters.

But... whenever I hear him speak, an image of Kiba keeps popping up in my head. XD

Oh, I love it!! I almost died laughing in Ep 9 when Tamaki wore a dress! Wall Market Cloud, haha! And it helps that Maaya voices Haruhi! :lmao:

I would have to say the twins are my favorite host...hosts. They are so ridiculously cute!! Ahh...I don't mind the yaoi though cause I have a few yaoi friends, so I think I kinda got influenced a little. But still! I think I like Kaoru more than Hikaru...but I like them more when they are together. I squeal in joy all the time when they do their usual "Kaoru..." "Hikaru..." scenes. :P

I cracked up big time when Maaya-chan did her "raburabu uff~uun (hearts hearts)" voice. It was just so funny! I love the letter scene in episode 2(?), where haruhi was in his normal boy voice, but when she starts reading the letter, the normal cute but funny maaya voice came out. When I first watched, i didn't know it was maaya-chan doing the letter scene, i thought it was another girl seiyuu...but when i found out, i was just...laughing. Laughing in front of the computer, creeping my family out (in the middle of the night).

So I think Ouran is my new obsession for now. :D

Aieee~ I LOVE Ouran so much. I've practically been living over at For Richer or Poorer, an Ouran forum. My friend introduced me to the series and I was instantly hooked from the beginning. I love all of the hosts but I have to say my favorite is Mori-senpai. The tall, dark and handsome approach just swept me of my feet and I'm one of the few passangers on the Mori x Haruhi bandwagon. :lmao:

Speaking about Mori, who else almost died in Episode 15 (?) when he was chopping wood topless. *nosebleeds to death!* The ultimate refreshing host! Just watched the entire show, and fell in love with it. So much crack and so much fun!

My favorite host...gawds, KYOUYA
It’s a combination of the seiyuu’s voice; his smexy dark hair and pale skin and narrowed eyes; and the way he pushes up those glasses with his index finger. And I don’t know if it’s just me but he always looks exceptionally dashing in the ‘casual’ clothes he wears- for some reason, those sleeveless shirts fit him so well :lust: I love how he skulks around like he owns the place and the club, his silent calculating broodiness, how he always seems to know something everybody else doesn’t…gahhh :wub:*is a swooning, waxing lyrical, nose-bleeding fangirl*

I adore Tamaki as well…the guy’s just completely insane…and a complete sweetheart
He is exasperating(and I mean that in a highly amused way) and ridiculously childish(Corner of Woe, lol), and still with a heart of gold. When it got to the part about his past, I just felt like cuddling him to a mush :huggle: How could anyone, even a stone-hearted grandma, not love him?

From the beginning,I found the Hitachiincest hilarious. :giggle: It’s just so blatant and intentionally syrupy…I see it more as a parody of shounen-ai than actual shounen-ai :shrug: Those two crack me up, especially when they’re hysterical over some stupid thing Tamaki did. I still think they’re straight though…Hikaru can sure get violent over Haruhi-related jealousy!

Although I do like Mori and Hunny, they, I dunno…seem gayer than the rest. Yes even moreso than the twins; at least Hikaru has a small crush on Haruhi. Nothing wrong with being gay…but I’m squicked out by shota. :sweat: A stoic macho guy and a cutesy little guy? Ermmm… Even if I know cutesy Hunny is the exact same age.

I love Haruhi… simply adorable and her apathetic personality is endearing and so refreshingly different from your standard anime heroine. And boy was I shocked to learn who did her low-toned voice!

Question: who do you guys ship Haruhi with? ^_^ I think Tamaki is Teh One, but I ship her a little with Hikaru and Kyouya.

From the first episode onwards, he was my instant fave. Gotta love how he always has something up his sleeve, and oh, if only I had his money-making mind~ My heart just absolutely shattered for him when ol' dad walked up and slapped him! :cray: If I had to save only one Ouran episode and throw away the rest (heaven forbid!), it'd have to be the episode detailing how he met and formed the Host Club with Tamaki. :wub:

I'm not deep enough in the Ouran fandom (barely skimming the edge of the puddle, really) to really ship a pairing. I guess it's Haruhi/Tamaki since they the "stars" of this "romantic comedy" :razz: *baps Tama-chan* And Kyouya/Tamaki, but they're practically married anyway.

I love Tamaki, Hauhi, Mori, and the twins the most! They're all so funny in the manga and the anime! XD I love Tamaki/Haruhi! It's just too mbloody cute for words. *tries not squee over episode 26* But if she didn't end up with Tamaki, I'd want her to be with Mori or Hikaru (one of the twins).

I started watching Ouran High School Host Club when I found out Maaya Sakamoto was Haruhi's VA. Yus, I know I'm a stalker. :P

Anyhow, I pretty much watched 20 episodes within a few days just a little while ago, but I got a little busy and stopped watching it. I can't believe I still haven't seen the rest of the episodes yet. It's such a cute show!!!

No I dont believe they made a dating game. Just as I dont believe that Hatori Bisco will ever pair Haruhi up with anyone. It would end the manga to do that, and since most of the Host Club seem to have feelings for Haruhi in some way (I'm a HaruhixHikaru fan myself), it'll cause much difficulty within the club.

Tamaki, by the end of the show, still doesn't understand what his feelings for Haruhi are really. I think he's still using the father/daughter defense.

Here's hoping for a season 2, but I hear that Tamaki's VA is doing Light from Death Note right at the moment, and I'm sure he's doing KH: Chain of Memories.

I was bored last night, wanted some anime to watch, checked this forum to see what's popular, found this thread, checked out Ouran High School Host Club.

I only watched the first 10 minutes of it but it's pretty amusing so far, so I'll probably check out some more of it to see if it holds any interest. It doesn't seem like my kind of thing but I liked it enough to watch more.
